Costa Coffee in Lisburn

Only getting a 5 star due to the great service we received from employee called Neive young lady was polite courteous and very attentive with my needs (anifilectous) She is a credit to costa ...This is the first time we have had good service in this store at Sprucefield...

This place is a disgrace. Upon entering, the service area looked like a bomb had hit it. Since this area is on view to customers who can see their drinks being prepared it is obviously important that this area is rigorously cleaned and maintained. During our recent visit there were empty cups, milk cartons and serviettes strewn everywhere on the floor behind the service area. Not only does this look bad and unprofessional it must compromise safety as a slip hazard. Staff were completely oblivious to this and continued to walk through the mess. Also not a cleaning spray bottle in sight. Observed the staff and at no time were the tables wiped down after each customer.

The entire visit was overshadowed by the dreadful toilet provision. The cleanliness was adequate but recent renovations have resulted in NO provision for females only while males have a toilet is SET ASIDE for use by males! Females are required to SHARE the facility with parents (including male parents) and those customers with disabilities (including males). The result is women (who no doubt make up the majority of the customers) have to wait while nappies are changed and those with particular needs require the toilets. In future I suggest we females check if a facility is reserved for our SOLE USE and if not look for alternative cafes whose decision makers value our custom and cater for our needs.

Stupidly slow for a coffee drive through. 3 cars in front of me and it took almost 15mins to serve these 3 orders. Should have went to McDonald’s located beside it. Much faster service.

Warm and welcoming with delicious light meals and coffee. The staff were very friendly and created a comfortable atmosphere and there are plenty of seating options for groups or individuals. It's great for catching up with friends, a meeting, or simply unwinding with a cup of coffee. Perfect for a break and recharge.

Stood in queue for probably 10 minutes ordered my 2 coffees, a flatbread, chocolate tiffin. Had to repeat the order twice to the gentleman taking the order. Got the flat bread set down on the counter cooked and in a takeaway paper box. I then said to the gentleman making the coffee that I was sitting in, as he had two take away cups ready. He said 'abruptly' it was takeaway only. I was not informed of this when he took the order and my £15.75. The interesting thing was that the other gentleman working had just seconds earlier placed cups from the dishwasher on top of the coffee machine, so cups were available. The coffee was then placed on the counter beside the flatbread and 2 packets of crisps I had ordered to take away. The gentleman then proceeded to start the next order. Twice I had to ask for a tray which was then place on the counter and I was left to move the items onto the tray. To crown it all the gentleman did not supply me with the chocolate tiffin as part of the order and what I had paid for. I was so annoyed with the gentleman I thought, say nothing in case you say too much about the service. Really, is this what Costa talk about on their website "As a Costa Barista you receive full training in delivering every customer with an unbeatable coffee experience, through great customer service and great coffee". I think Costa Ireland need to revisit the customer service at this branch.

Hi, really disappointed today, when I called to Costa to grab a take away coffee with friends only to be, firstly ignored by the staff member vacuuming the door mat and eventually only getting a head shake to let us know that they had closed before carrying on vacuuming. This was at 5.15pm. Not only did the website, Google and the Facebook page say that the store was open until 6pm but the sign on the door also said 6pm. Not only should the store look at changing their signage they should also have a look at staff training and customer care. Thankfully we were able to get coffee from the restaurant next door.

We both had a Costa latte. Which was as usual nice. The toilets were opened and welcome compared to my visit to Armagh Costa during the week whose toilets were closed and cheeky staff. The staff here were fine.

to the rude barista which served me on wednesday. ordered my usual americano blended with ice and sugar free syrup. Handed a glass of water and espresso. in which i then asked her to blend in (which i had already ordered) and she tutted then told me couldnt blend it as it would "break the blender" in which i just looked and the lady behind me phycially bust out laughing and stated ice would not break a blender! LOLOL also. no syrup in my drink but i just left the store. Store was empty and there is no excuse for bad customer service.

I always come here after i take my son swimming, its perfect to sit and relax and have a chat. Friendly staff, good selection of hot or cold drinks and good selection of food and traybakes. I could honestly spend the day in Costa drinking endless cups of coffee and watching the world go by.

After an afternoon of shopping we wanted a small snack before heading home. Costa was busy but had plenty of seats. The air conditioning was on and the place was absolutely freezing. Outside was very warm. We got our sandwiches and drinks, all served by smiling, helpful staff. Considering there were six of us, all wanting totally different things, most not paying attention as we chatted to each other deciding what we wanted, the staff remained pleasant and helpful throughout. We all got exactly what we asked for and found a seating area for all of us to sit together. One of our party asked for the air conditioning to be turned off and that was done immediately leaving us free to enjoy our food in comfort. I can’t comment on the food as I only had a black coffee but if I say that some of our party went back for pastries, I think that’s a great recommendation for the food. The cafe was spotless and well staffed. Considering how busy it was the staff worked hard to keep the place clean and tables cleared ready for more customers. All in all this was a very pleasant end to a lovely memorable family day. Thank you Costa.

Just been into costa (omniplex Lisburn) for a light snack before the cinema. Food was lovely and the service from James was fantastic. Well done costa and James 👍

Perfect place for a catch-up with friends. One of probably the only places in Lisburn that you can park free outside. Staff well trained and polite, warm and friendly atmosphere.

I've only been in 2 or 3 times but always feel so welcome especially by a certain member of staff who chats away and generally just a nice person makes you feel like they're talking to you as a friend which is nice. Hot chocolate is amazing! Can't wait to go back again for another one soon.

We are regular customers of Costa Coffee- great coffee and well stocked selection of savoury and sweet. Staff always friendly and helpful and cafe and tables kept clean. This is the best Costa in the Belfast/ Lisburn area

I called into this Costa restaurant for the first time in a long time as my last visit was so bad an experience I swore I would never return. Prior to going in I noticed the inner furniture was different and I thought, given the length of time since my last visit, perhaps there was new management. On entering I found that was the case – new management and staff.

I meet a friend here regularly but to fair we only ever have coffee. The coffee however is very good and the place is always busy.

Easy parking just outside makes this place great for meeting friends. Coffee good and can recommend tray bakes too. Informal seating and sometimes can be noisy as it's constantly busy.

Great place to have relaxing Coffee and Snack or light Lunch etc. Ample easy parking nearby and convenient to Cinema and other Restaurants.Excellent Coffees and hot or cold snacks. Self Service in clean friendly environment.

Yo tenía un Latte aquí antes de ir al cine. Quería algo para comer y me mostraron su única opción de un chocolate brownie. ¡No estaba mal. Hay varias cosas que son muy variados si no tienes necesidades de dieta. Como hay más y más personas con enfermedad celiaca en estos días creo que debería hacerse algo para ofrecer diferentes opciones de tener con sus bebidas.

Costa son, por supuesto, muy similar en estilo y ofrece. Éste está muy bien situado para los viajeros. Buen aparcamiento con algunos espacios visibles desde el interior. La comida está bien y el café está bien. El personal es atento y la limpieza general mejor que algunos. Wifi está disponible pero parece que en 30 minutos, evidentemente la base para mantener asientos gratis, lo cual es comprensible, pero muy frustrante al hacer negocios en línea!

Had the most beautiful Latte at Costa in Lisburn this morning with my daughter service was excellent

Great place for a coffee and a chat. They don't mind how long you sit no one is rushing you out. Good selection of other drinks if you don't want coffee.

Great service by friendly staff with good coffee. Selection of food for lunch can be limited, but good selection of sweet treats to go with your coffee. Great place for a meeting or for coffee with the family.

Not amazing, not terrible. The staff are average at best compared to other costas but I have never had a complaint about the beverages. Glad that the stupid code is off the toilets as that was the most ridiculous system i've ever come across! Great to meet friends in though as you can usually get a seat and it stays open to a good time.

My husband used to be a barista a while back in Kansas City and we were swimming in great free coffee. Since being in Lisburn it has been hard to find coffee we like, let alone pay for. Costa is the our favorite place for coffee in Lisburn, it's not coffee from Kansas City but their Iced Lattes and Cortados have helped us get our coffee fix since living in Lisburn.

Great coffee excellent service ! Lemon tarts an tiffin squares are very tempting !!! Can't leave with out them ! Their take out service is excellent an staff are so helpful .

I always enjoy Costa coffee. However, it's not always possible to get a seat and even at busy times, people are allowed to sit on in the seats even though they have finished their coffee etc

The cafe was ok, the coffee was ok, the staff were pleasant....so what went wrong? THE CONSTANT NOISE OF THE COFFEE BEAN GRINDER! It DROWNS the conversation between my friends and me. This has happened several times so we have given up and gone elsewhere!

Staff are pleasant and food is good, but to find 2 toilets out of service and the disabled toilet in a dirty state, with a very wet floor, nappy bin overflowing and unable to be used by my friend who has a disability as they could have easily fallen. Also pin code on access to toilets is very difficult for people with sight difficulties and for those with other disabilities.Have often visited this Coffee shop due to its accessibility but was disappointed when my friend was unable to use the facilities and the disgusting state of them.

Small group of girls called in after watching a film on Friday evening.8.40pm to be precise. After queuing and trying to put in an order we were told "sorry we are closed" it was 8.50pm when I replied by saying sorry what time do you close??? The member of said 9pm I replied by saying "it's not 9pm yet and we are taking out" "It's 9.02 we are closed" it was not 9pm and the shop was still very busy with people having there coffee!!! No apologies, no customer skills. Was a regular and I won't be back!!!!

i was down in lisburn for the day and i came across costa staff where lovely and polite , will be back :) , next time I'm over

I did not lose my 'tamper', but I could have lost my temper!I often go to Costa Lisburn, but it has now lost a regular customer.Having purchased my coffee (which was quickly and efficiently served to me by a pleasant barista) I got my points added to my Costa card and was sitting down with my own personal Costa mug beside me. The coffee was hot (it should be) so I decided to wait a while while it cooled (I don't take milk) If I had known the table was being stabilized with a Costa paper napkin I'm not sure I would have used the table. The circular table has no legs but a round sturdy base. While reading a paper I placed my elbow on the table's edge and the table tilted towards me and my coffee went flying! All the coffee was spilt and most of it was over me! My upper right leg, and lower pelvis, was soaked. The coffee was still hot and this caused me discomfort, and looking at other customers – embarrassment. God forbid if the coffee had gone over a child! (Massive compensation claim)One of the staff offered to get me another coffee; which I declined (I would not have enjoyed It) I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was not in the building. I felt a refund for the coffee and a modest sum (£5) to have my shirt and trousers cleaned would have been reasonable. The lass refunded me the cost of the coffee but said the £5 would only be given if the manager said it was permitted. After some time I eventually got speaking to the manager on a phone that was handed to me. The manager knew my first name as a result of me being a regular, and to date, fan of Costa. The manager said if I was to produce a receipt for the five pounds I would get it. Going back to 1983 I managed a recreational club for five years. Knowing health and safety issues (financial issues also) I would simply have agreed to the modest sum without putting the customer to further trouble – it was only five pounds! I told the manager I would not be producing any receipt, but still felt it reasonable that I should receive £5. At this point I was requested to give the phone back to the staff. After yet another long wait I was offered a five pound note. At this point I was not impressed with the staff. They felt I was blaming them; despite me often telling them I was not. I was annoyed at their lack of concern, lack of professionalism and lack of care. One even had a smirk on her face. I then told them to tell the manager I would not be back, tore up the five pounds (£2.00 had been destined for tips) and destroyed my Costa card.Great coffee, poor staff attitude and I firmly believe – poor management.I won't be back, and I will no longer recommend the Costa that's near the Cinema. There is plenty of good coffee nearby, and better staff to serve it.

This was our first and probably last visit to Costa at the Leisureplex. There was a queue of three or four so my husband thought that he would use the rest rooms while I queued for the food only to find that you need a code from your receipt to access the rest rooms. When I got our coffee I went over to a table which had just been cleared and waited with the coffee on a tray for the table could be cleaned. In the end we asked the waiter who brought over our food if the table could please be cleaned. The acoustics of the cafe make the general level of background noise very high. The coffee was good and the chicken and chorizo flatbreads tasty but as a dining experience my advice is to go somewhere that they welcome customers.
