Costa Coffee in York

Precioso café y tostadas después de la cita en el hospital. Odio tener café y comida de platos desechables como va a cerrar. Personal agradable como de costumbre pero preparándose para cerrar 14 : 00 . No es lo mismo que beber de la vajilla adecuada.

Very unhelpful and negative staff . Clearly miserable in the job and want to be anywhere but where they are. Blonde female staff member specific.

I would like to say i cant believe how rude the blonde person in the black tshirt is. When she speaks to you it's as if everything is putting her out, she is abrupt and has a terrible attitude. At the end of the people are going to hospital for treatments and are unwell, the last thing anyone wants is a horrible attitude. I have been a few times over the last 3 weeks and she has never appeared nice even others have commented.

Honestly, I visit regularly. I don’t know how service can be so slow - there seems to be plenty of staff - but they wouldn’t last a minute in town - let alone London. Routinely dirty floors and tables, frequently not cleared. I understand there is a refurbishment going on so fingers crossed for a fresh start! I do keep returning, due to lack of alternatives within the hospital, but feel overpriced for the experience

The staff were lovely when I was getting a coffee after a suprise/shock. They really responded and looked after me and it was massively appreciated. Thank you.

Unclean place. Food on the floor and tables. Sticky tables. Chair has food wedged down the back. Early on a Monday morning looks like it's not been cleaned all weekend. In a hospital as well. Just shows really poor corporate responsibility from Costa. Grim environment to eat and drink with how unclean it is. Coffee was ok though.

In my lunch break ordered a hot toastie was ok was givern back to me pipping hot in a paper bag used for cakes, when i ask if i could have it in a normal box, was told rudely by the gentleman behind the counter, no thats it just take it, i had to eat it there and then as it was to hot to touch and the bag was not fit for purpose, sorry i wil not be going again will stick to staff shop.

Ok, it’s a standard Costa so you know what you’re going to get but there are problems. Firstly, the tables aren’t cleaned meticulously, there’s often bits lying around. Secondly, why can’t they open reliably at opening time? Sometimes just a little late, other times several minutes; the staff are there but don’t have any sense of urgency to get the place open, management problems?

Got a strawberry tea infusion, had no ice in it and tasted like strawberry dilute with seeds floating I'm the bottom. What a waste of money

Very disappointed with Costa in general since the reopening due to Covid. Tables not being cleaned, all throw away cups etc why? What’s better than pots that can be cleaned. No additional bins to cope with the extra rubbish. Amazed the hospital authorities allow it.

Great place for a coffee. Always consistently made to a high standard even though they are rushed off their feel. Staff very friendly and welcoming and always have a smile

A costa to avoid the staff are so miserable quad for 30 minute to be told the card machine wasn't working no signs up had to hunt for cash to stand back in the que for a further 30 minutes. On top of this it was 4 o'clock and the chairs were stopping people sitting on the decent seating JOKE!!!!

I visited here and had a small house filter coffee for £1.50! Pretty standard coffee, as you know what you get ib Costa. Service was very quick and easy.

On a quick outpatient visit today, there was a mix up with our coffee order, fair enough. Unfortunately the attitude from the girls from behind the counter was unfriendly and down right rude. Some customer service training in order or maybe a different career not dealing with the public? I'll take a flask next time. Hope some really ill patients don't get that treatment.

Unfortunately, my wife was admitted to hospital and as it was the weekend I put her in a wheelchair and took her for a 'nice cup of tea' Signs up said it would be closing early at 3.30pm - no worries it was only 13.45. I ordered and was told no cups as the dishwasher was broken it will be served in paper/plastic cups. I asked for it to be put in a teapot - the computer said no! at wich point I was asked if I wanted it or not. My instinct was to tell this person where to stick her tea - but my wife had so been looking forward to it. Surely using one cup and a teapot to make someone happy was not a big issue. Shame on you Costa!

Visiting aged mum in law, found r&r in costa cafe, very welcome with nice snacks and as usual great coffee, just a shame it shuts at eight but can't have everything!

But service is smart and sharp. What more to say is typically Costas. Do not like coming here as it means someone ill. Nice distraction.

I had dropped my youngest off at a party and had some time to kill. Too little to go home too much to wait in the car. Answer, a cup of coffee and a toasted sandwich. The service took ages in this very busy branch, however, the coffee was great and the croque monsieur was very tasty and I'll repeat the visit. Handy to escape the shopping centre too.

As a nurse who works in the hospital I often go to this costa for a drink or for a snack on my break. There is always a huge queue which is understandable with it being in the hospital but it is not helped by the slow service. When you only have a 30 minute break, standing in a 15 minute queue is rather irritating. It seems like the service is slow due to them not having enough staff and some of the staff that work their are so slow at making the drinks. You have loads of people waiting just to collect drinks once paid. As well as issues with long waits some staff are not that friendly, I once purchased a drink and sat at a table and a member of staff asked me quite rudely to move because she wanted to clean the area for shutting down (bearing in mind it was only 5pm and it shut at 7pm). She told me to sit on the outside tables however when I struggled to move all my stuff I couldn't sit down because all the other tables in the outside area were covered in dirty cups that had not been cleaned away! Poor

Ubicado dentro de la entrada principal, esto le da un lugar de bienvenida para conseguir una bebida y un aperitivo ligero para aquellos que visitan el hospital. Bonito lugar para pasar el tiempo si demasiado temprano para el hospital. Naturalmente, el lugar puede llegar a estar muy concurrida a veces, pero me pareció que el lugar limpio y ordenado dirigido eficientemente y con un personal muy agradable. No es conveniente ni adecuado para el comercio" ni "pasando "ordinario" de visitantes a Nueva York por razones obvias.
