My go to place for a quick bite to eat before the dreaded shopping I was served by a very lovely member of staff Hollie who always gives warm welcome and makes a great coffee too :)

Could do with another barista, as always packed, and could do with more inside space. Staff always pleasant, coffee always excellent staff lovely😀

Usual Costa prices ( not good). Coffee is good though. Finding myself going less and less because of the prices.

Situated just outside the Hempstead valley shopping centre. You would definitely have a taste of class in a serene atsmosphere. I notice a good number of elderly persons which also made it more fascinating for me as I enjoyed watching them having their nice time.

Not a regular place for me, just passing through. Nice decor, open, bright, and clean. Coffee up to its usual standard and a good display of food. Great staff, I use stick and they took my tray to my seat.

Stopped off for a quick coffee and was told I had a birthday treat (free cake) available. Great customer service.

Excellent service, friendly staff especially the Waitress, very outgoing definitely service with a smile, made you feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely be revisiting highly recommended.

Had a blueberry frappe did not like it at all on ly had 2 blueberrys in it and far too much ice no taste wont go there for that again

Preferred Costa Coffee location for the shopping centre. Gives you time between parking the car and entering the shops

Always pop in for a coffee when I'm in the area. Service very good and coffee made to my particular requirements is never to much trouble for them. Highly recommended venue

Overall all staff is friendly and helpful but today I got medium caramel mocha.I would like to thanks the girl she made absolutely amazing coffee for me. Her way of serving and talking to customers was brilliant. Love to go there again for nice coffee.

Staff are very nice even at busy times. I often can't see a vacant seat so i go elsewhere which is disappointing not so much an issue during warmer weather as there is outside seating.

Always a fast service at this Costa and standard Costa taste and prices. Visited this branch tens of times and will continue to do so. Free and generally plentiful parking.

Always visit Costa when going to Hempstead. Nice staff, chilled vibes always good to go for a catch-up with friends.

Last time I was ignored by the staff who were too busy having a chat, so I went to Jamaica Blue. Today was served by a very surly young girl. Come on Costa, you can do better than this for the prices you charge. In my experience the service has been better in the Costa outside.

Lovely coffee in a sunny window

Just had a coffee. It was nice to chill in the warm.before I had to pick my daughter up and go to work. Just did my puzzles and read my phone. Nice not to be in a rush

I'm really impressed by the new vegan options they have and the outdoor seating area. I find their coffee very bitter, and I think they probably burn the beans on purpose because that improves their shelf-life and makes them cheaper in bulk, but that's not the fault of the staff that work there. The staff there are very nice :)

I like the coffee and cold drink choices but cant eat there as, although the serve M&S food they dont have a coeliacs choice of either sandwiches or cakes

I had the smart water but nobody could seem to tell me what was so smart about it. I really enjoyed it while writing roller coaster reviews. I’ll be back.

went in to the costa and didn't get anything as there were flies on some of the cakes in the stand. some of the cakes had covers, others didn't, and those without had flies walking all over them. told an employee and they just paused, then responded "oh ok thanks for letting me know" and carried on with everything but sorting out the cakes. lack of care for basic hygiene, do not get the cakes on the stand in this costa.

Getting expensive and not quality

Myself and wife was waiting for nearly 10 mins before we was even acknowledged. This would not of been a problem if we was not the only people waiting to be served. The other customer in front must of been known by the staff as they was speaking to her the whole time we was ignored. Then we was told to wait and thestaryed to make orders for all the delvaro orders whilst we still stood waiting. Disgusting customer service and made to fill like we mean nothing to the costa brand. Management really needs to improve on the service this branch delivers.

The young gentleman who served me instantly put a smile on my face, he was approachable, and eager to help me. He continued to entertain me whicks serving the drinks with impeccable timing. You put a bit smile on my face, people like yourself are a real shame credit to the store. You can expect me back soneimee in the near future. I will keep up the good work! Nice Christmas food & drink selection on offer. Bought my daughter the bamboo glass water bottle which she keeps forgetting, today she saw the light up Christmas snowflake cup. 😬😂 I should be paid to advertise Costa Coffee. 🤣

Love this Costa at Hempstead valley. Its the one out side next to the Subway food place. Very welcoming staff here and trained really well too.

Hate the fact you can't get Arabica but caramel latte fills the gap

nice location... just seems to open and close whenever it feels like.... dont rely on any of the vastly different opening times they state indoors.. on google... on their website. they are all different and all incorrect... however if you are lucky enough to catch the sometimes small window it seems to be open for its a nice place

The coffee is weak tasting. Everything is over priced and now you are lucky to get eye contact as they are always busy with the takeaway service for uber or just eat apps. Meh.

They need 'NO SMOKING' SIGNS ACTUALLY ON THE 3 TABLES THAT ARE DIRECTLY OUTSIDE THE SHOP! Smoking is permitted AROUND THE CORNER. Its disgusting approaching the store to wait or go in and you just breathe in smoke from people sitting at those 3 tables. There are 3 small No Smoking stickers on the shop window but people obviously do not take notice of those! Sort it out!

Consistent for a branded cup of coffee

Ordered two coffees, Cappuccino and Mocha. Nice Mocha but Cappuccino tested like normal coffee. Also staff hasn't been very polite.

I live in London but frequent this delightful venue regularly when I am in Medway. This by far is my favourite Costa. Coffee fantastic, service is great and the place is clean!

I am not long home from Hempstead Valley in Gillingham and feel compelled to write a review to convey my utter disgust in the actions of one of the employees. Her name is Linda, short, fairly rotund with shoulder long wavy brown hair, and I believe she may have been a manager. A young member of staff had had an accident and burnt her hand and was clearly in pain, yet this woman felt it ok to shout at her in front of all the customers and physically pushed the young girl who was clearly distressed and trying to help clear up after the accident. Because of where I was sat I could hear everything. The woman was so aggressive and in no way concerned as to the well being of the young lady who had accidentally spilt a freshly made drink over her hand. I felt so sorry for the young lady especially when the woman publicly humiliated her. To watch a senior member of the team physically abuse a younger member is disgraceful. I shall not be using this outlet again.

Nice little shop. Shame the food options aren't great for non meat options as there is no vegan options at all and about 3 vegetarian options, so its not non meat friendly. The coffee comes with non dairy options though. It might be because of the size why the food is limited, I don't know, but it would be nice if the variety was larger.
