Costa Coffee in Birmingham

I recently visited Costa Coffee in Wylde Green, Birmingham to celebrate a birthday, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed celebration. There’s plenty of space inside, with comfortable chairs that made us feel at ease while we enjoyed our drinks and treats. Parking was hassle-free with up to 2 hours free, which is always a bonus. The café is wheelchair accessible, including accessible toilets, making it a great spot for everyone to enjoy. We were served quickly, and the staff members were polite and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. While Costa’s prices can be on the higher side, it’s not too noticeable unless you’re a daily visitor. Overall, for a special occasion like a birthday, it was absolutely worth it! Highly recommend Costa Wylde Green for a relaxing and pleasant experience.

Great improvement in the look of the store , staff friendly and helpful customer service when contacting Costa still poor! Visited wylde Green store lovely coffee ,friendly staff , clean store . Prices up 20p on a regular americano Expensive, could do with more seating .

Disgusting manager trying to take advantage of young customers. After drinking abit me and 2 of my family members had bad stomach pain I went up and said is this milk out of date and she was being all rude thinking she’s something told her to make me a new drink one of the staff made it for me but I usually get cream I asked for cream and they the manger said no not today no way loudly the other staff member said it’s probably because of the cream and smiled nasty behaviour not recommending this place to anyone. doesn’t care if the customer is happy or not never coming nasty place.

Also at this occasion. Had to choose alternatives I didn’t want, rude staff. Very unusual for Costa as in all other shops I went or ordered they are really nice

Ordered a few times. Everytime been asked to make to choose alternatives I don’t want. Very rude and unprofessional staff. Never a problem with the other Costa which I will make sure to use in future. I have a heart condition and disabled to be insulted by rude staff is unacceptable

Great friendly and efficient staff, very clean place and exceptionally clean toilets. It's the only Costa I use.

Visited tonight went inside to order drinks I was told in a rude manner they were closed... if your closed why don't you lock the door, I'm not local to the area I don't know your opening and closing times ? Will not bother returning in the future.

I ordered two 2x wraps and a hor chocolate. I just received the hot chocolate. It's ridiculous and they didn't even bother to call me. They should be ashamed of the service that they just provided. I spent money on the items and they don't even bother to get the order right. It is a disgrace from them. They just collect other people money and don't care to get the order right. It ridiculous and shameful.

I use Costa regularly. I ve haven't used Wylde Green for a few months as the order is always wrong. The staff are lovely and it only happens here even with different staff. I think it is layout and method. When someone is taking the order and sliding the receipt along there are more orders and a queue of customers. One person doing your food at a different speed of the drink service. Ultimately leading to cold food whilst awaiting your drink or like my lost receipt so no drink whilst my food is ready. The same thing happens virtually all the time. I have ran a F & B service and I think it it is down to the system as opposed to the staff.

Really lovely and warm place. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Customers in store were very pleasant in general. Very clean and would stop again. Bonus free car park outside the store.

Strict parking, 2 hours free, extra 10 mins cost me a £100 fine. Legal theft! Plenty of tables available when I went, but the parking fine has put me off. Ruins an OK place to meet for coffee.

Stopped by there today. Very nice cafe and seems very popular by local. Staff are really helpful and hardworking and Recommended to hire one more might be good.

Pleasant and friendly staff, plenty of seating and good wi-fi. Great place to work from if you are in the area. Staff are helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Opening hours are great as its the only place around open that early/late for a coffee. Parking is free up to 2 hours.

Don’t go if you want plant based milk or if you are lactose intolerant. They tell you that they use oat milk and in real they use cow’s milk. I went there twice and for the second time I asked three times if they put oat milk, the lady showed me the bottle which she used but I saw before she poured milk to my coffee from earlier prepared normal milk. My stomach was painful and I was feeling awful. Don’t recommend.

Not the best Costa I've ever been too but killed 30 minutes while waiting for my partner.

Great Costa in Great possition with plenty of seating inside and out. Service is good and the atmosphere is good as it is generally always busy.

Busy costa, plenty of staff but need to cheer up. But untidy store and need to clean toilets and lights as they have cobwebs on.

Wanted to escape the house and have a chat with the hubby and enjoy a slow coffee but instead got to enjoy the loud drone of a vacuum instead, at 6.20 (closing time 7). The person cleaning the seats at Costa even decided to vacuum next to us. So will not be going back.

Ordered food for delivery - no phone call - incorrect items and arrived not cooked - just a note to say the oven was not working - a phone call would have been great.

On time and normally don't have any issues but today's coffee was spilled from both coffees I don't know if this happend in store or delivery the lattes where this time sadly very cold also

Coffees were great but wasn't impressed that my chocolate tiffin was a millionaire's shortbread and had been put in the bag with the hot coffees and was a melted mess!!

Very few, sometimes no, vegan options. The vegan cake I had on Monday was so stale I could not cut through it with a knife.

The alarm went off but staff were friendly

There was no option for decaf so we left a note saying please could one be decaf and they ignored it and sent us two normal coffees, we rang up and they said they can’t do anything it just ask for a refund from just eat

Got to be honest I am often disappointed here. The shop has recently been refurbished and the staff polite and friendly. However the organisation lacks here. There is usually when I have been in no brown sugar available and today they had take away cups but no lids so I had to return my coffee as I was driving and needed a lid. It’s shame. Could be better.

A large Costa with plenty of seating. Good service and great coffee. Lots of free parking outside. Found the coffee grinder to be so loud that even from the other side of the room it stopped conversation!

The staff are slow, there were at least 5 people behind the counter, and it took more than 10 minutes to get served our drinks, and it wasn't very busy today.

Not up to the usual standards of Costa. Drinks were not hot enough, so we had to return them and ask for them to be re-made. Cakes tasted stale and the selection of cakes available was poor. I did mention when ordering that I had a voucher for a free cake for my birthday, but this was ignored, and I was charged for both cakes. This voucher expires today, so I guess I have missed out. Staff seemed disinterested, unfriendly and just generally fed up. The store was dirty, and did not have a nice atmosphere. There is a serious problem with homelessness in the area, and they all seem to congregate near. I will not be returning to this Costa again, and would think twice about visiting any Costa if this is the standard that they work to.

Really nice place, nice & clean, the only reason for 4 stars is my cheese & tomato toasties were overdone & a bit burnt. The staff were really lovely though, everything was lovely & clean & tidy. I would certainly go back again but I would ask if they could keep an eye on my toastie if I have another one. I didn't complain as the staff were extremely busy as it was lunchtime.

You can't order ahead on the app; the staff are chaotic and have no concept of teamwork. Waited 10 mins just to place my order, and then expected to wait another 10 minutes whilst genuinely not v busy.

Clean good standard Costa Coffee shop, all the usual favorites.

Just a little disappointed as my frozen drink didn’t have a straw so I couldn’t drink it. Waste of £5.

The service at this particular Costa is always really slow, just spent 20 minutes waiting for one latte which was also lukewarm. Not a great experience and the staff just don't seem interested.

I didn't receive what I asked. Again.

I was disappointed. Firstly, they had no decaf coffee. They did offer to make my cappuccino weaker but I thoughtthat wouldbeworse. Secondly, I ordered a cinnamon brioche bun. It was about as hard (and dry) as a rock cake!!! Eating dust would have been more pleasurable. Will not return to the Wylde Green branch anytime soon.

No straw provided and drink spilt and ruined my food.

Considering there were atleast 5 staff behind the till and it took 15 minutes to get two coffees was terrible. They were slow and too interested in their own conversations to tend quickly to the coffees of the customers. Won't be going to that branch again.

Reminds me why I ground my own coffee at home! For the price of 2 lrg lattes you can buy a kilo of your own beans and make better coffee. They should have their staff wearing ski masks at those prices!

Last 5 times we have been in we have had to take coffees back or asked to get them topped up as 1/4 of latte is foam. Staff need teaching better.
