Costa Coffee. in East Hertfordshire

Most probably one of the best managed Costa I’ve ever visited. Both male baristas are well mannered, give service with a smile and very helpful indeed. The coffee was great and the place is constantly cleaned and tables are cleared very fast. Superb place to have snacks and drinks.

A lovely Costa that distinguishes itself from the others with a great layout, beautiful scenery and fantastic staff, especially a young lady named Philippa. She was a joy to speak to and made the best cup of coffee I've ever had from a Costa. I'll definitely be coming back

Did not have food every thing else was good

Cleaner was extremely rude and short with me when I asked a simple question about whether the toilet was under maintenance or not. I usually love the service I get from Costa but won’t be coming back to this one if this is how they train their staff here.

I would not advise anyone else to work there. I was offered a job here and I was told to come in to training, unfortunately my kids will ill that day, the manager said it ain't a problem to change it another day. He has not contacted me back and everytime I chased him he was either busy to talk or saying he hasn't made a decision yet. When he had already told me I got the job in the first place! Very unprofessional if you didn't want me to work for you then pick up the phone and say. Stop giving people empty hope.

Terrible Wifi coupled with bad phone service make this costa not practical for laptop users to do any useful work in

Unfortunately I can't leave any feed back this time due to the fact it was closed due to a deep clean. So a bit inconvenience but clean in these times are important so fair enough, shame it couldn't of been done after hours but hey I guess it's not a regular occasion.

What a shame... Who ever runs this franchise needs to put there hands in there wallet and get more staff. Only two members of staff in both costs in Hertford and although they were doing a great job , it was obvious they needed at least another person. Costa charge enough so get more staff .

Lovely very clean staff was very friendly

Food was fine - toilet facilities were not, due to poor management. No toilet paper so had to use hand towels to wipe my bum and put them in the nappy bin to avoid blocking the toilet. Reported it to the staff member and was told sorry we don't have any. Then sat and drank coffee and heard several other customers going through the same process. On listening to someone having to shout through the door to a child about what to do because of the lack of toilet paper I decided to go across the street to the Poundstretcher, buy a multipack of loo rolls and put it on top of the cistern. Said to the staff member "There you go - two minutes, £3.50, problem solved" and walked out of the place. I realise that it is the manager at fault for not ensuring that they had enough supplies but it doesn't take much initiative to sort the issue as a priority for ensuring customer satisfaction. I will never be going there again.

Ordered a mango frappe with cream, got served a mango flavoured milk drink with ice. No cream. Staff casually said we have no cream in the fridge and never attempted to get some from stock, unhelpful staff, couldn't be bothered, queue of people, poor service and to be honest on this occasion a rip off. Won't be coming back to this Costa

Sadly not up to normal standard. Asked 3 times for a decaf. Latte and still got normal coffee. Same happened to another customer. All tipped away.

One of the worst Costa outlets I've been to. Manager has a right attitude problem against his staff, and on occasion with customers too, demanding they stand on a circle sticker at the till. Frequently they have no bread available at lunchtime and no decaf options available as "the manager has not ordered them". They close at 4pm, and if you're still in there at 3:45 you are bluntly told to drink up and go. Staff behind the counter are always super apologetic of everything and cannot fault them for doing the best they can in such poor circumstances.

Called in today and ordered two drinks, one hot one cold. Only two staff working which given that it is Boxing Day, seems reasonable. Unfortunately, one member of staff was very competent, the other, not so. She couldn’t work the till, got the order wrong, and fundamentally, couldn’t make coffee! The competent staff member made the hot drink and the other woman was told to make the cold one. The hot one was ready and placed ready to be served quite quickly. Unfortunately 10 minutes later it was still sat there while I waited for the other drink. When I was finally given the drinks, both were now cold. Given the blank look I got from the incompetent staff member when I raised this, I cut my losses and left. What a waste of time.

Well,ok, tried a Terry's hot chocolate, really hot chocolate, tried a purple latte,caramel latte with a sweet thrown on the tray,I mean thrown, one lady quite busy,one man looking bored,she did well,not sure about the Christmas menu ,the pictures look good not the same when you buy,maybe all costa the same,maybe not?

Hopelessly disorganised - we waited 15 minutes to be served and ended up walking out and going to Bebo's. Both staff didn't appear to understand what to do. What a massive contrast to London.

Refused to take Scottish £20 note all I had on me as just back from family

Great service, tables cleaned and wiped down between customers. Space between tables is easy in the window are since the three tables are physically separated by walls and pillars

Usually pretty good but not today. Long wait to order and very slow service. Builders had also left a sharp piece of steel on the pavement outside - perfect trip hazard.

There must be at least one Costa in every town in the land so don't expect any surprises. I prefer to support the independents but here I am with a cortado, it's fine.

Toilets are never clean and Costa need to upgrade them. Staff are nice .

Coffee is standard Costa stuff but I always find the actual coffee shop a little dark, cramped and untidy

Visited about 2pm and the selection of sandwiches etc was very poor. Coffee was good as per usual.

Pretty standard for a Costa, good amount of seating

not great - the assistant manager, Don, has made a number of sleazy remarks towards me and my friend who used to meet in here every friday lunchtime (one blonde one redhead) one remark being "its got hot in here since you two walked in" the others are too sleazy to post in a review! seriously? hes generally very vulgar towards women and "leers" and "stares" makeing us both feel very uncomftable. when we we diplomatically made it clear this was unwanted the following week he made a huge scene when my friends 2 year old son knocked my iced latte on the floor, the table and himself, us and our phones because we were makeing sure our phones were ok and were cleaning her son up when he came over....got quite aggresive in front of a 2 year old and accused us of throwing the drink on the floor? ok then! kids knock things over, the drinks are very much below average compared to other stores aswell! complained to head office and to whitbreads and no reply from either!

It was okay but nothing notable

Coffee quality is always good, sometimes very good. Good co-operative atmosphere amongst the staff, who are very friendly to the customers. Much more space than most Costa's, including behind the counter for the staff, so it never gets too crowded.

Standard costa but felt compelled to review simply because when went in with a very young child staff went out of their way to help us - both with seating etc, but also offered to warm up milk bottle before i asked!
