Slow, disorganised and unbelievably rude

really horrible service. 3 people 1 makes coffee at machine two are running around asking what people want warming food up but still in a line to pay. should be one at coffee one at till and one making the food. really disorganised. and over priced food.

Place look outdated and very poor hygiene . Very strong smell in sitting areas. Like rats in rooftop

Didn't think I'd ever post a review for Costa but here we are. The start are hilariously useless. Ordered a frappe and Americano and both drinks made incorrectly. Every time I order here it comes out wrong. I have no idea why. Service often slow and veryyyy chaotic.

I’d say price wise, it’s on the pricey side, but the quality’s alright. They do need to employ more experienced and mature staff through.

Was visiting someone near University Hospital there was a nice coffee area and hey it's my fav Costa, this costa had tables so you can sit in and enjoy your americano whilst charging your phone or laptop, staff was nice, efficient and even offer me coconut milk as i'm lactose, wanted a toasty but on low carb but they did smell amazing.

Amazing cup of coffee and a hot sandwich. It's a busy place but has a cosy Costa feel. The staff are like worker bees, all the time working in fast mode. They are friendly and willing to help. When I visited, there were 5 of them and all working hard and being professional. I was impressed by staff cleaning on the go and keeping the place tidy. Well done Costa!

Paid £2 for a plain croissant. Was undeniably from a supermarket multipack, not fresh.

Visited a few times during a hospital stay in early November. Had a couple fine visits to this Costa shop. Had their breakfast wrap, which was adequate. My wife had their oatmeal and didn’t have any complaints. Also got decaf flat whites here on consecutive days - again, no complaints. The prices are OK. The staff were neither friendly nor unfriendly. This shop is a decent enough option if you’re visiting the hospital.

Genuinely and utterly hopeless. Ask for blended iced mocha and apparently they have no chocolate (been that way for 2 months). Says they can do an iced velvet chocolate late with oat milk. Oat milk as we know is vile, ask if they can do that with normal milk, they say yes. So why tf can't they make a blended mocha?! They have all the ingredients ffs. Haven't had chocolate for the last 2 months. Better off going upstairs to chatters. Coffee is half price and much better service.

Very overpriced Don't even get a free drink or a tea or coffee with your breakfast And also the breakfast is very small There are plenty of a cafs with bigger portions and better value for money and also get a free drink or tea or coffee with your breakfast wouldn't go there again

Poor Service. Staff has no communication towards each other. My orders were Oat latte and Oat Mocha. And they made a mistake twice. I waited patiently. And shop wasn't even busy.

Horible experience every time I am force by the circumstances to take a coffee from here(Costa Coffee Homerton University Hospital).I am a loyal customer at Costa, but this shop has the worse and arrogant staff, plus they to not listen to specific orders.

Had no de-cafe in a coffee shop! Wasted time.

It's a good Costa but insanely busy during the week due to location in hospital. Quieter at the weekend of you need your Costa fix and nearby. Staff are efficient and friendly especially given the demanding location. If you have the option to leave the hospital while it's busy there are some excellent independent coffee shops on Brooksy's walk to the left of the main entrance.

Pretty chaotic with no flow and losing coffee orders. Good thing not much competition for their business!

Exactly what you'd expect from a Costa. Coffee was nice although there's better in London. At least you generally know what you'll get.

the coffee and food was as good as ever

Ive been here a couple of times but every time i have been here it has been a bad experience the staff seem to do their jobs with no joy and it allways shows in the coffee they serve you, you never leave being satisfied with the coffee or with the service and its all because of the staff there, if this costa was not in the hospital i would never visit it again.

This Costa is a great oasis in Homerton Hospital. Idealì for a caffeine shot, if the purse strings allow enjoy a pastry or cake, if hungry get a 'Toastie' lol Seating is comfortable and moderately private, considering this Costa's thumb print. This Costa is ideal if early for an appointment, post-appoinment, or you just want to relax and watch the world go by. :-)

Very busy, took 15mins to be served mainly because of a lady taking up all the time complaining about the size of her drink .the staff were so patient showing her the recommended sizes .But my ham and cheese ciabatta made from sour dough was delicious.

This is welcome pit-stop break while visiting Homerton Hospital, prices are comparable to outside coffee shops, coffee here is good, they have a varied and plentiful food offering from cakes and pastries to sandwiches and toasties. Staff are welcoming, pleasant and very helpful:-)

Experience today was very unpleasant and unprofessional: 4 baristas (all females) chatting and laughing in their language (which is not an English ) and in front of customers. Over the top, as a customer I been ignored today twice, before paying i been just rudely ignored in front of till and after placing an order I had to remind after 8 minutes that I was still waiting for my order which been forgotten.

Is this the most expensive Costa in London? At £3.05 for a small chai latte it's appalling that this business is allowed to continue to operate in a hospital, a place where people often find themselves spending time not through choice. I'd give zero stars, but at lease service was prompt enough given how busy it was for such a tiny location.

Small but comfortable, great coffee and I like the fact it's in the hospital.

Service is very slow as the place is way too small for the amount of people that visit. Minimal seating available too. My child got a mocca (chocolate coffee) instead of the requested hot chocolate, which was rectified. We go to coffee shops regularly, this is not a great one.

Table was grubby waited in line seemed like it took forever took order down wrong but was corrected .

Convenient, staff are quick to make drinks but take long to actually serve/ take orders, they are a tad bit unfriendly with a bit of a bad attitude. They behave unprofessionally. Management = trash. Usually have all the things Costa offers but no deals. Space is awkward.

Very nice staff and the drinks and foods are very nice! When busy they might get your order wrong but I think that's normal. Other than that it's a good place to go when you are in your brake or if you are visiting a family or friend at the hospital.

Lovely place great atmosphere great coffee

I've been going to the hospital recently a lot for appointments. I needed a cup of coffee I went to the cafe and was horrified to see the line of people in a very small place. The seating arrangement area was so small I saw people sitting and eating in the waiting area for appointments or in the corridor. I decided to go to the sweet shop and price a drink in stead. I think someone needs to look at the area and re model it .

Too cramped and busy but nice coffee

Love Costa but they are the slowest one I have ever been to.. waited over 10 mins for a coffee and it wasn't even busy there 🙄 .

Not sure what they did to the toast it was crunchy but chewy - it's a new one on me! They're so busy and the unit isn't big enough

Mornings are super busy however the staff is very friendly and polite.

Poor customer service and bad tasting coffee. Also, the lunchtime deal (£4.95 for a medium coffee, toastie and a bag of crisps between 11am-2pm) is not offered here! Just bleak.

Didn't have to wait long to be served, they have seating inside and outside. Staff was friendly. Cappuccino was as personalized as I specified.

Tend to be busy most times at the counter and slowly you will get served, had to ask for servettes with my snack, food and drinks a bit costly.

Slow confused service, staff and friends given service while your forced to wait for your drinks, despite being in the queue before them. They take your money, so your then forced to wait, while they prepare drinks for what looked like either staff or friends first. I get it is a hospital, however if you have time to buy a coffee, you can not be in a rush for an emergency... We all have busy lives and have somewhere to be. Very disappointing experience.
