Multiple trips to China and even living in China, nothing consumed while in China was tastier than this. The best Chinese ever. Love it so much my partner and I got the address tattooed on ourselves. My partners been going here since he was a baby. His nan has lived over the road for 30+ years. Cannot recommend it enough.

nice but it is almost always either open or closed, at weird times.

I often can’t find a delicious delivery restaurant nearby that I can order from in a row. But the food here is surprisingly delicious😋 One drawback is that the rice is packed in a box before it is cooked, and the onions are a bit hard, otherwise their meat and vegetables are well fried. Please pay attention to the restaurant and improve it.

I've already tried the food at this Chinese restaurant, but I didn't think it was all that good, but it's not bad either. My friends like to eat at this restaurant! I didn't like it much... in Brazil this type of restaurant is much tastier, not because Brazilians are very demanding with taste, so the Chinese kind of adapt to this demand without losing the essence of Chinese food, but with a touch with a Brazilian flavor... considering that it didn't have that kind of extra flavor, it wouldn't sell and would probably close the restaurant in a short time because no one wanted to go... so in order not to lose the business they adapt it with more flavor... for I said that in Brazil this type of cuisine is tastier. lol lol lol

The best Chinese food i have had, and trust me i have had a lot of chinese food as its my favourite type of food. Been a loyal customer for the past 20 plus years and their food has never dropped in quality. They are very generous with the amount of meat you get. Cannot recommend enough.

The best Chinese food in London and Essex!! My family still live across the road and have been eating from from here since the 90s. I was gutted when they didn't re-open after lockdown and thought they were gone for good! Delighted to say that they have re opened and the food is as good as its always been! The ingredients are fresh and well seasoned, even a bag of chips taste good! Living in Harlow (terrible takeaways), I'd rather travel to Hackney and buy food from here then order from local. Top food, portion sizes are spot on, customer service is good and prices are as you'd expect!!

I would never order from Oriental AGAIN!! Singapore Vermicelli and Salt n Pepper King Prawn' and both was Stale! I had to throw it in the bin. I called the shop to notify the owner and his answer was to bring it back. I heard their food had gone down hill and I have to agree. Disgusting

The man on the counter was super friendly and good with the recommendations. I really enjoyed the sweet sour chicken noodles. Good prices.

Food is nice ... Not the sweet and sour Hong Kong style though- nuggets in sauce -no veg. Everything else I have tried has been nice. No point calling though because you won't get through... Ever!

Based on delivery this place gets a 1*.... cor blimey getting through to these people on the line you might aswell quit before you start its impossible. Foods good its evident from the fact they're so busy but they need to update phone lines with some of that ££, its been like this for far too long. Marketing tool maybe? Can't get through for dust

Food is hit-or-miss. Either it's okay...ish..., or it needs to be drowned in soy sauce to give it flavour. Nothing to recommend to friends. Bland, oily fare that tastes as if it's been sitting in a pan all day. Prices are reasonable, but you still get less than what you pay for. We chose this place for convenience, but ordering from this establishment was anything but convenient: Massive difficulty paying with a credit card over the phone - they were unable to process cards, one after another, each belonging to two unrelated people (with plenty of money on each). Finally had to run out for cash. Then one person got a notification that their card was charged. That will be a fun mess to sort out when the bank opens on Monday. Tore up the menu, as we will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

Just ordered food from this restaurant for the first time as I have heard good things. Never again!! Egg fried rice was greasy, sweet and sour chicken tasted like vinegar and was too soft. BBQ sauce was too sweet and bright pink and the curry sauce had no flavour. Beef chow mein was fine (the meat was a little over cooked) and the crispy aramatic duck was the only thing edible. Such a shame as I spent £35 (including tip), most of it went in the bin and family is still hungry. On the plus side, the free coke provided was good for washing out the lingering taste of grease.

Food is nice but it's a hustle to order food over the phone! At times I can easily ring 30+ times and not get through. If they employ a normal phone system I would rate it 5 stars.

Very friendly, busy on Friday and Saturday so ideally visit in person as very difficult to get on phone. Food is lovely...must try and always return

Picking up on what others have said about the phone lines, yes it can be hard to get through but that's because they're busy because the food is soooo damn good! This is hands down the best Chinese! Food is delicious, delivery is free and they always put in free extras such as starters and drinks. Mmmm really fancy some Chinese now having written this review lol

Rice is cheap quality- but so expensive for a small portion, where most Chinease shops do one price- one large size. Charge stupid price for delivery even if you spend over £30!!? Avoid this shop and walk two minutes down Kingsland Rd to Golden Food. Large portions, qualitys good and staff are friendly and not money Hungary.

This place has the worse service, the staff are rude and dirty. I place an order and asked a question only about delivery only to be told by the staff "don't ask me questions" in a very very rude manner and hung up the phone on me. If there was anything lower than a 1 star they still wouldn't deserve that. Absolutely rubbish.

Hoi sin sauce is basically golden syrup. Barely a few dishes are worth it, most the reviews about precooked meat and blandness tends to be very correct. And that's if they decide to answer their f*ING phones. Seriously ordering over the phone is a battle you win once or twice a year. Then to top it off they decide to close up for weeks at a time and don't even post it on their pointless website or disconnect their phones. So it's very much a stupid lottery of "are they open/are they not?" phone is always ringing and never answered either way lmao, ffs...all I want is the salt and chilli prawns in my life, is that so much to ask?
