I like Costa and nothing will change my mind. Best coffee

16 Aug 2024. Lift out of order, toilet out of order. Eat in food served in paper bags not on plates. Buck up and get it sorted.

Very dirty tables. After a customer leaves about 10 min later they clean it. They literally never clean the floor and I had to wipe the chair and the table as it was disgusting. Also, lots of customers have to throw other peoples drinks just to sit at a table. Why don't the staff do it?

Took friends there on Friday morning , what a let down very very slow service, when we finally got our coffees they were only Luke warm and they did not taste of anything. The standard's have dropped dramatically just lately. We think twice about going there in future

It's a coffee shop, no different to the 1000s of others.

I like the responses, the quality of drinks and the nice environment.

It's a Costa......decaff capacinno gave me the shakes.....was it really decaffeinated?

I always go for chai latte. Yummy it is.

Good Costa inside the Lion Yard. Can be busy at times.

It is possible to sit after shopping and drink coffee. The service is fast and friendly, but the prices are quite high for such a taste of coffee.

Costa is in the Grand Arcade and just across from the entrance of John Lewis. Costa is right in the public walkway and by the escalators - which is nice depending on whether you like seeing life moving around you. If you want a quiet corner, find somewhere else. It is a nice atmosphere, especially considering the pressure the staff are under with so many customers. Here are the staff from yesterday Saturday 13 January with lots of customers.

this coffe was so good 😉 that when i came back home i immediately experienced explosive diarrhoea right down my pants. anyway im not complaining since i enjoyed it, coffes cup was pretty mid but the taste was great and the presentation was amazing as you can see in the photos. definitely recommend 10/10 will visit again! 🌚😂

I came in for breakfast with my friend. We both got the toast and hot chocolate! Very yummy I recommend it. I got served by a lovely girl called Liz who was welcoming, kind and very quick.

I came to breakfast here with a friend and our lovely waitress Liz was so helpful and kind. She made sure that we had our breakfast how we liked it and kept on top of cleaning tables. She makes very delicious drinks and definitely deserves 5 stars. Thankyou!

Came into branch as my glucose had dropped. Barista rudely served staff member behind me in the que before my order. Ordered an oat latte with vegan cream. Received the drink with regular milk and vegan cream. For allergy sufferers this could be a fatal mistake. Checked with the barista who remade the drink and the presentation was awful. As an ex-employee, I can tell you they don’t keep the visual standard of costa. The caramel is supposed to be drizzled around the cup NOT dumped at the bottem & the cream should be swirled on the top not dollopped into a mushy mess. Overpriced for ‘quality’. Shocked this is one of the worst Costa’s I’ve visited. 🤷‍♂️

I paid 5.10 for a lukewarm large latte that was 3/4 full, no froth, dull service, could of made a cuppa better at home. Won't be returning to that store again.

BEWARE! Toilets have security combination lock. Requires purchase to get code. DONOT get caught in 'Panic Poo' mode at this establishment!!!

I just had a takeaway Frappe, tasted Fantastic 😋. Service was very efficient and friendly

Don’t come here And the new staff menber needs to be retrained to have a good customer service towards cutomers. they have an rude attitude towards customers. And the taybles looks so dirty and the floor looks so dirty. And the fridges looks dirty with food and drink in it. And the back of house looks so dirty. And this costa should close down. And avoid this costa. The food looks out of date and the cakes looks dry and the food high geine is apalling. And i will not return ever. I will go to the starbucks upstairs where i know that they treat the customers really well. And ask how was your day. Costa please note and please read my revieue. And this is for the costa manager too.

Typical Costa coffee. Not a huge fan of their coffee but it was conveniently located in the shopping center.

Love Costa, bit slow but hey ho, it must be that Italian vibe...

Costa always serve excellent cappuccino, pity about the furniture, looking very tired and not clean.

Just a coffee no food service was prompt a nice location

Asked twice for a hot chocolate without a lot of froth. This is the third attempt. The manager tried to explain it was because I’d asked for extra chocolate powder. It’s funny how every other costa coffee I go to doesn’t have that problem

This is one of the best Costa we go to. All the staff work hard, especially ( we guess ) the manager. He never stops and always making sure the place is clean and tidy

A pretty small but cozy little place near the bridge of St. Ives. It’s nice to sit by the window and sip on a warm hot chocolate.

Great place for coffee if you are shopping. It was a bit cold as it is in the shopping centre complex.

Was served by an exceptionally helpful and friendly assistant. Service was very quick. Comfortable place to watch life in the Grand Arcade while enjoying coffee and cake.

Coffee is fairly decent for a chain. I personally prefer a smaller, unique bistro. Service is usually really good. I feel the price is quite high for such a large scale chain with such a monopoly and availability of scale.

Busy store due to its location. Staff friendly and efficient despite the constant large queue! It is busy and pressured for them. Drink made well (I'm particular!) They do need someone constantly clearing tables and cleaning though rather than once in a while.

Latte coffee was without coffee. Bad coffee cost a lot and getting frustrating instead. Very dirty environment.

Worse coffee I had ever, a waste of money as couldn't even drink it. Tasted like I was given leftovers of a coffee already made or as if they run water on an already used charge, really disgusting.

Very busy this afternoon when visited. Was asked politely that I would be served - not a problem. My order was taken, very polite staff member, lovely takeaway coffee. Appreciate very busy, maybe everyone should be more understanding.

I like this Costa as it is in a Next branch on the first floor so you get a good view of the roads outside. Plenty of parking friendly and efficient staff.

In a convenient position for a sit down and take a quick break when shopping

Dirty tables and chairs combined with the usual poor Costa menh. Not worthy of a spot in front of John Lewis. Don't go here - go to the John Lewis café or Espresso Library (or anywhere else really) instead.

Coffee and iced drinks are tasty, place is lively and clean, staff very friendly. Only downside is waiting to long at times from ordering to recieving

Just been in grand arcade costa and a worker understandably wanted to go through a door I was waiting in front of. Before I proceeded to do so he opened the door hitting my back in a forceful manner. I understand retail can be busy as I too work in retail and I was willing to move. After the incident took place I felt very flushed and upset and left without my order

Lovely lady in there this afternoon. Made a great hot chocolate and Wicked attitude/social skills too.

Terrible service. There was two queues, one for ordering, one for collecting. No one informed me which was which. I chose the wrong one, so had to start all over again!

Just ok. The staff didn't seem organised, got orders mixed up. Just took longer than it should.

Odd outlet this one, under the stairs and hidden in a dark hole. The seating area is great for people watching and relaxing in the middle of the Mall. The counter is dark and small but the service has always been good. I'd still rather drink here than the Starbucks upstairs.

It's a bit noisy because it's an open unit inside the Grand Arcade, so it can be hard to have a conversation. There's not much seating and it does get very busy, so if you want to sit down and drink you may want to look elsewhere. The drinks are nice, the place is clean and the staff are friendly. It's just a busy little unit.

POOR - DO NOT VISIT Wanted a quick bite and coffee for my little girl age 3 (who was hungry) before we set off home. Whilst the staff were happy to take my custom they did not mention that the seating/store would close in 10 minutes. No sooner we had our drinks and food served, the staff kept on pestering me, my wife who had a hungry 3 year old to keep moving from one seating area to another, and then every two minutes to remind me the store was about to close, whilst my little girl burnt her tongue drinking the hot coffee quickly, struggling to finish her brownie. Even whilst we were packing to leave without finishing the food/drink, we were once again harassed by the staff. When I Confronted ALI the manager, he said that I should have read the minuscule signage for the opening and closing time for the shop ... VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - POOR MANAGER and MANAGEMENT SKILLS - COSTA PLEASE NOTE.

The store manager who calls himself ali has been constantly causing problems for me and not allowing me to use my app. He has also assaulted me today for no reason. All I have been trying to do is harmlessly purchase a orange fanta. (Haha its orange no way I picked up the orange) . I feel like cannot be myself here. I also spotted him spitting in my herbal tea which should get him fired

Coffee is not good and food was not good I had the breakfast wrap had one bite and had to throw it away the egg was rock hard very tasteless the coffee just taste like hot milk wouldn’t recommend this costa coffee. It’s a shame because it’s right next door to work but I guess I’m going to go to the one outside the mall it’s better.

Rude staff, slow service and we left before getting our order. Slamming drinks on counter when told they put them In wrong cups. Avoid this place

It's a small costa, that has some seats if you want to relax for a bit.

Good quality food and drink and not highly expensive. Quick service with friendly staff. Felt safe and clean. Very few seating options because of restrictions but would be nicer if those that are there had some more closure round it to give more privacy to those sitting down from those walking around. If no seating though then Christ's Pieces is just a couple minute walk.

Small counter service, so might not suit everybody.

Great food and drinks selection, friendly staff and cool manager.
