Costa Coffee in Shropshire

Awful…. Over an hour and 30 minutes for a delivery local in town as I’m working in retail and it’s hard to leave. Burnt, cold, and uncut toastie which is like a rock and a coffee which is luke warm. If you can’t get deliveries to customers in predicted times then don’t offer it! Absolutely awful..

Never find cappuccino hot enough but comfortable place

I felt service could have been better and coffee served hotter but that was not something that was cared about

Love going to Costa for my favorite coffee .. they have a great rewards scheme we worth signing up for .. staff are super efficient and friendly .. the actual coffee is magic too which ever type you choose ⭐🙂

Rude staff considering they’re on £12.00 an hour. Would highly suggest people avoid this Costa in the Darwin centre.

Don't bother popping in for a coffee at 4:45! Apparently, even though they are supposed to be open until 5pm they won't even make a take away coffee! Obviously being out of the door at 5pm is more important than good customer service. I will be writing to head office too.

Would love more consistency/variety in gluten free treats provided at the counter. Service is always good

Lovely old building in a beautiful town. Take a seat in the window and watch the world go past.

I don't normally comment but I didn't like the greeting I got when I walked through the doors as I mistook the dog policy

Rude and unprofessional staff who are more than happy to mess around while serving customers. Menu board is not friendly to those with disabilities

Even when busy, this is a nice quiet place to relax with a coffee. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The tuna melt was only half filled, so had bites of just bread. Other than that, clean shop. Plenty of seating.

Seems to be a regular complaint .from payment to receiving coffee took half an hour with four customers.quickest Costa is the one next to dunelm .so it can’t be just the machines

4 members of staff and still a huge queue of disgruntled customers waiting. The staff clearly had no team working ethic in them. The main barista came back presumably from his lunch break and quickly got the queue moving. However my order went missing. After a 20 minute wait and when customers behind me were getting their drinks before me, I asked the girl on the till where my drinks were and all she could do is say “umm” and shrug. I asked for a refund as it was clear she was incapable of sorting the situation out. Luckily the main barista came to the rescue and processed the refund and then promptly made my drinks for me. However I won’t be using Costa again after this experience. Some Costa baristas are fabulous but some are awful and have zero customer service. This experience has confirmed with me that I should be supporting independent coffee shops in the future.

Refused to let us have some hot water to heat food for a baby due to health and safety. Every other Costa we have asked for it have provided it no problems.

arrived at costa today after a problem on the train, and jon-jon was a ray of sunshine! his service was impeccable, and his sense of humour really brightened our day! he saved our day out, and his priceless attitude is infectious- even at the end of the day! best customer service ive ever received, can’t wait to come again :)

I visited costa today in the Darwin shopping centre facing marks and spencer. John served me. He delivered exceptional service. He was run off his feet and very busy. I have a disability and he helped me and made sure I was looked after. I highly recommend this costa. Very disability friendly and the staff are very welcoming. Thanks John and the mohawk rocks 😀

Visited the Pride Hill Shrewsbury store today 22/11/2021. Toilets out of order! Tables dirty and seats covered in drink stains and generally gave off dirty appearance. Suffice to say didn’t stay, needs a bloody good clean!!!!!!

Friendly and curtious staff. Made to feel welcome and a valued customer.

Had lovely flat white and skinny latte plus bacon roll. Unfortunately our toast went missing. The manager apologised and immediately sorted it for us and gave me a bakewell tart. Top marks for good customer experience!! Love Costa brand and we will continue to visit regularly.

Fab start to the day amazing service

Rude member of staff while visiting Shrewsbury small blonde girl. Shouted at girlfriend and I when coming in store to social distance when we are a bubble, once she served us she came around the front holding our tray saying "one of you will have to take this" in such a sharp manner. While our hands was full with shopping, she could clearly see we was sorting out bags out to take the tray from her. I was just shocked and taken back finished our drinks and left. Made us feel unwelcome I'd avoid if she is working a shift!

Very good as usual, make me feel like I'm at home with an authentic Cortado, also catered for my wife's lactose intolerance and my grandaughters love of cake 🍰

This store have the worst Mocha among all the branches. Bland and bitter all you can taste was plain water and chocolate powder. Tried mocha few times no matter hot or cool it always dissapointed me so much. Please go to Oswestry and make a training with them. Totally different Mocha but the same brand!!!!

Well spaced area. Toilets open and clean. Coffee, tea and cake up to usual standard. Service friendly.

Dont bother going in a morning. Been multiple times around 8am and it takes forever to get a pre-work basic coffee. Best going elsewhere in a rush.

Queued for 20 minutes only to be told the urn wasn't working and they couldn't make tea. I asked why there wasn't a sign on the door and apparently they have been too busy to put one up. When asked if we could speak to the manager, we were told she isn't in until tomorrow. Very disappointed by the whole experience.

Under cover inside the Darwin shopping centre. Can get very busy, but pleasant staff and tables are quickly cleaned.

Tried a Christnas tea here today, smells gorgeous and tastes ok too. Friendly service with a smile as always.

Usually love visiting this Costa however unfortunately today was not a good experience. Staff friendly. Coffee great as always but it was dirty, chairs were dirty, wall was dirty, floor was dirty, tray was dirty and cup was dirty. Didnt bother visiting the loo!!!! So disappointing sort of puts me off going again.

We have been in a few times now and all the staff are speedy and very friendly which makes a difference, so much so I’ve asked them for all their names So thank David , Sara , Beth Piotr and Jay .. Much Appriciated -Sue and Vez 😊
