Don’t bother this placed was closed at 9am on Tuesday. Only do drive through.

The two ladies and sometimes a young gentleman. Are fantastic stop here almost every morning for coffee.

Iam disabled with a brain injury Extremely poor customer service Stood for 5 mins not one staff member said someone will be with you Then when my toasty came out half cooked I politely enquired was THE meal. Mine I was shocked at the response WELL IS THE ONY ONE IN THE OVEN SO IT. MUST BE WHEN I SAT DOWN. THE SAME PERSON LAUGHED AND REPEATED TO ANOTHER COLLEAGE IN A LOUD VOICE what I said and how he responded my customer experience was not impressed.

Valuable drive-through for a coffee before you get on the motorway. For this, Costa doesn’t seem right. The Costa drive-through is definitely at the Premier Inn and the map doesn’t look right at all. Looks like it’s in the wrong location. Negative this place has very little gluten-free choices and no soups no fruit sticks. Everything is all pastry and wheat. The only gluten-free or wheat free options. I see is porridge and some, sugary sweet small candy bars.

as someone who used to work at costa the staff were doing an absolutely amazing job and the cafe and drive thru was full, all tables were cleared as soon as people left and the service was amazing💘

Drinks and food are extortionate! The drinks have really gone down hill. The food is too expensive for what it is and tastes cheap. Greggs all the way I'm afraid.

Lovely little costa. Works for working space or a quick cuppa Easy access and parking. Drive thru too!

This is one of the better Costa Coffee shops that I have visited, the Americano was actually ok instead of the burnt over roasted one you normally get. And the Pain au Raisin was nice and fresh too 👍

I personally tried the coffee and it is delicious.

I've been here multiple times giving it multiple chances and I've always found that the lattes have no froth and inconsistent some days it's stronger some days weaker the food is also poor quality muffins are mostly dry and the raspberry and almond bakes are mostly dry I can say in the past 10x I've been to this store I've never been satisfied quality across the road at showcase Costa is 10 times better always satisfied highly recommend

A typical Costa outlet with great coffee and the usual food fayre. Comfortable atmosphere with public using the facilities as an eating and drinking place but many combining this with use as a meeting place and somewhere to work (laptops etc.).

Don't bother going into the cafe as drive through customers benefit most from the staff on duty. Waited ages to be served. My sausage bap was taken out of oven and left on top. No attempt to give it to me. When I went to claim it, it was served on a cold wet plate. Really ! The staff didn't really seem bothered about it.

Drove off with a cheese tomatoe toastie, which was cold and not warmed properly! Really disappointed and I tried to eat it but you want something warm on a cold morning and this wasn't right. Got home and warmed it myself. Got a mocha to and your ment to have a sprinkle of chocolate powder but there was a whole lot in there 😳.

There was no food for a coeliac. I had a Toblerone hot chocolate with no mini Toblerone (run out) and the service was a little awkward, I had to keep going up to get items, they'd forgotten

What a terrible Costa. Understaffed. One girl left the till to go on a break when it was clearly extremely busy. She was drinking her own drink while at the till before her break, very unhygienic. The service was extremely slow, over 15 minutes from ordering a coffee to receiving after queueing for 10 minutes. Behind the counter was a disgrace, boxes everywhere, no organisation and frankly it looked dirty. Someone needs to get a grip on managing this place. Quite possibly the worst Costa experience I've ever had. Bizarre.

When we arrived at the drive through, the staff member who served us was extremely unfriendly and rude. We were given the wrong food and when we brought attention to this fact, the member of staff argued with us telling us that while he couldn't prove that he had given us the right item, that he had. When he handed us the item to begin with, he called it by the wrong name (the item we believe we actually received) which was what made us check this. He was very rude throughout the entire encounter.

I have a really bad experience in this costa, always understaffed and the bakery section is old and tastes off!

Not great, seemed to be staffed almost wholly by inexperienced staff, who didn't know what promotions were running and weren't serving customers drinks in order-they served me ahead of a gent who was already waiting. There was also no communication, when the server didn't know about the promo, she could have said Something not just walk off to consult with another colleague, who also didn't seem to know. I also had to ask for a fork for my salad, the server preparing the drinks forgot to put cream so poured quite a bit of the drink away to then add cream, almost did mine with milk when I'd asked for soya. So overall not great.

Not bad but struggle to keep up even when it's not that busy (in my opinion). Also feel the coffee doesn't seem as well made as other Costa locations.

Went in today for a coffee about 12, place was absolutely filthy: most tables full of old cups and rubbish, bins overflowing, floors covered in crisps and sandwiches!! 5 people behind the counter clearly not doing much as all. Shocking.

A tail of 2 costa. This one and the one at J11 by Warton Grange. This one is Winnersh and if was a colossal mess with the counter staff member bieng unorganised. Coffee was bad. The one at J11 M4 is yet to make a bad cup.

If you love coffee you gotta love Costa. Always get the perfect coffee and I just can’t resist those almond croissants.

Service was appalling. went here at 4:00 at 11/9/22 and the staff were messing about, slow and unprofessional. they forgot about my order and gave people who were 4 places behind me their drinks first. tables weren’t cleaned and staff were making drinks for themselves before serving me adding to my wait time. absolutely atrocious service and terrible employees.

A friendly shop in a prime location that tries to be helpful. My own experience is echoed by others that the drive-thru side of the shop is closed more often than not, particularly wasting customers' precious time in the morning. I should imagine I am not alone in encouraging Costa to resolve their staffing issues. With numerous reviews pointing this out one wonders whether management is listening. Is there anyone out there?

Really bad could not get our order right on two occasions

The best Costa in the area - if that's what you are after. You can park for free if you are using the cafe! (the signage is really unclear).

Drive through More often than not it’s closed. Never enough staff it seems. The staff they have seem to be miserable every time you go in there!! Went in the other day and they were only giving paper cups as didnt have the staff to clear the tables! Whoever is running this joint needs to sort it out!! UPDATE : Mon 25th July 2022 - Short staffed again, drive through closed again!! You may as well close the place down rather than dragging the brand through the dirt!!

Was slower going into the store than drive through, even though not busy, took a while to have drinks made and iced mocha wasn't the nicest being dark (not much milk) and gritty

Ordered 2 large lattes & they tasted absolutely disgusting, like de-scaler/stagnant water or some sort of chemical! Unfortunately this is along with very bad customer service on numerous occasions would advice not to visit!!

Costa Winnersh. Products unavailable. New products with your new menu that you then can't supply. You use the board to state 'currently unavailable' for some items and not others, so as a customer you are asking for something that you assume is available and it isn't. Replace one item with another that isn't then available. Colleague doesn't know what a toasted teacake is. Poor service, not really a care given.

Extremely slow service. People were walking out (including me). The lady on the till decided to stop serving the customers and turned her back for about 5 mins. The barista was obviously under pressure and was not processing the correct orders and unfortunately the lady at the till was not helping him.

Thank god for the honest people at Costa, where I accidentally left my bag with my wallet And keys in excellent and honest staff

Winnersh Costa is by far my favourite in the Reading area. Friendly staff and great coffee.

Wait time horrendous Massive queue with people walking out barista must of been new as he was not only slow but looked out of his depth and rather miserable

The team on duty were doing the best they could do but not enough staff to cope with the volume of customers, it's a common theme to many coffee outlets.

This Costa is brilliant! The staff are always smiley, cheerful and polite, even at 7.30 am. The egg, mushroom and spinach bap is very tasty and a good price as I always have to have my Costa Cappuccino which is reduced in price with the deal on offer. Well done to the team in Reading Road Costa 😉

Im a big costa fan . Unfortunately this costa was disappointing. Waiting time was really long . Baristas were too concerned with each each rather than the customers.

Drove there and drive thru was closed despite it being 2pm on a Sunday. Seems strange as its entire purpose is to be a drive thru, but there you go. 1 star for not fulfilling a service - at all.

Modern, clean but drinks had a oily layer on the surface and very disorganised getting orders wrong.

An awful flat white, ordered a latte at same time and my wife cannot tell them apart!! Not strong enough, seems all too common at Costa that a Latte, Cappuccino and Flat White are all the same overpriced weak pish.

Standard Costa with drive through.

Breakfast is now definitely sold and served also at the counter inside the café (we were a bit worried in fact by a previous review). A lovely newly refurbished café, great drinks and food, with plenty of parking space. Highly recommended!!

This is far too conveniently on my route home. Chai tea is always hot and spicy! Only critique - staff no longer wearing face masks.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Premier Inn at Winnersh above the Costa coffee. I wanted to order in person, instead of pointlessly jumping in my car and using the drive thru. But was told by a member of staff, due to not having enough working the morning shift then they can't do face to face orders. Instead use the drive thru. What's the point? I'm staying at the Premier Inn-I'm not passing trade.Nice enough and new facilities, but can't man the work station. You don't get this problems at other drive thrus, like McDonald's. Avoid

Costa for me is always a great stop, I do find however that when I ask for a caramel shot they often forget to put it in. Otherwise great.

Definitely will not be visiting this drive thru again 😡 I am fed up with asking the staff to top my drink up to the large I actually paid for instead of half a cup and to make it extra hot they seem to have a problem with getting my order right even tho I'm a regular & order the same drink every time the staff are polite & friendly but the drink is not worth my money think I will be going to Starbucks from now on ☕👎👎😔

Busy store, drive through is always busy and there's usually a bit of a wait. Staff are very helpful and friendly though.

First time in the shop, normally use the drive thru... Seemed clean and tidy. Mostly business folk hot desking spanking the WiFi! Standard Costa fare.

No quality street received with purple one latte, no base powder for frostino’s. Long wait.

Don't expect a quick in and out of the drive through during lockdown. Expect a 15 minute wait at least.

The same lady gets my drink wrong EVERY time when I go through the drive-thru. The joke is, it’s simply a white Americano that I’m ordering and I speak clear and concise English. How simple??? Yet I’m given plain black coffee every time. Tried to call in but nobody picks up. Won’t come here again.
