Costa Coffee in Doncaster

Couldn't get served as the only member of staff was walking round talking to a friend.

Really helpful / friendly staff today 06/12/24, thank you for humouring me. Made me chuckle though. I took my decaf flat white back because it was WAY too big and milky - they always are when I go to Costa (very rarely) but I decided to do something about it for once - and so after a discussion about what a flat white is, I was informed what I actually wanted was a cortado! So guess what, all these independent coffee shops up and down the country must have been getting it wrong all this time! 😂😂 What’s even funnier is that in the confusion I forgot to check that the replacement needed to be decaf, so I’m sitting here at 2AM after getting super-high on caffeine, then hyper-focussing on the topic of coffee sizes and milk:espresso ratios for the last 2hours 😂 The silver lining to this terrible idea is that I can now rest my twitchy eyes in the knowledge that Costa are indeed VMB (Very Milky Bastards) and should absolutely stop mis-selling flat whites! 😆🙈

Just stopped for a coffee and a Danish on our way for a day at the beach. Lovely, friendly service from the sole woman employee at the time. Our 12th wedding anniversary has started well. ❤️

No cheese twists or tea cakes but friendly staff

Use this on my regular drive past the services. The baristas are a great team, and even when the services are busy, they quickly and efficiently serve the customers. I'm here for the coffee and am never disappointed with the brews they provide. Occasionally they run out of the large takeaway cups - but I can forgive them for that.

Nice place to visit for a coffee & cake. Pleasant staff. Tables wiped regular.

Just want to say a massive thank you to the girls working on 5/7/2023, we broke down and was recovered to the car park of the service station and sat there for many many hours waiting to get back to Norwich. The girls at costa were so lovely to us, kept checking on us and checking if we needed anything at all. Thank you so much ⭐️

Shockingly poor customer service. Awful attitude from staff, who made you feel like an inconvenience by just being there, let alone trying to buy a drink. Request to use own reusable cup was met with a loud huff. Server had her unwashed hands inside the cups for no reason. Drinks just plonked on the side. As an aside, unlike other coffee retailers Costa don't advertise the use of reusable cups, or offer a small reduction for doing so. I will be bearing this in mind when choosing where to buy coffee in future. In any event, this Costa is one I will avoid going forward.

Staff rude. Customer service shocking.

Oh dear. The staff, on the day I visited, really didn't attend any customer service course. I felt very much an inconvenience to them. The person in charge barked at a colleague and told her to "serve the customer", I was very embarrassed and felt so sorry for someone who I assume was a new recruit. Decent drinks but yet another dreadful experience at a Costa coffee.

Awful, long queue time, dirty shelves and tables, moody staff member when they didn't listen properly!

Had a lovely woman make me a ice tea for the first time and it was delicious. Great customer service.

Served the poorest weakest coffee I've ever had from Costa. Took it back to be replaced with yet another extremely weak latte. Check your dosing, this is not normal for you.

Mmmmm coffeeeeee First visit to this particular one. Great coffee as usual from a Costa. Friendly staff, clean tables. What more could you ask for.

Customer service is sadly lacking here , staff incredibly rude and happy to leave customers waiting whilst they have a good chat about last night . Very disappointing to see how far the standards have fallen in recent months .

Currently only one person working so coffee take along time, up to 15 min to get a take away coffee. The milk for the take away coffee also not frothed up well

Two female staff was there today and younger one was so rude!

Been coming to this place couple days in a row to make sure before i give my review, Customer service is not the best, 1 out of 5 times I got my order correctly, not polite Wouldn't recommend

No queue, served quickly. Distancing measures in place too. We were really impressed by the vegan smoked ham and cheese toastie available, so got that! Just needed a quick bite on the road. Did the job. Good food and lovely friendly staff! Thanks!

No charge..... always seems to be training up new staff who take ages to process my order. Pity really, I presume quick staff turnover

24-hour opening is very useful in what is a rather unserviced and depressed area of the country.

Ordered food, told to sit down and they would or food. 10 minutes later no food. went to desk didnt know where our food was. Would sort it and bring it .Then it was cold and had to send it back., not to mention by then our drinks were then cold. Not happy experience

The good thing about Costa is that it is consistent. The down side is the cost which we now seem to accept as being what we have to pay despite the obscene profits involved. Service was particular slow this time but we possibly got there as the solitary barista was taking a toilet break.

A welcome Costa in the middle of the M18. Great drinks and food in a pleasant situation. Not many of the Costa extras available such as coffee to buy and make at home, but you don't really need that on a break from/to driving wherever.

Poor service, bad flat white, didn't cut my panteno, no butter with it and no offer of a knapkin.

Great place for a pit stop just off the M18 on the outskirts of Doncaster. Good forecourt selection of shops for quality and healthy supermarket foods, stationery, and caffeine drinks. Ice cream and fast food also available for hungry patrons Car parking plentiful and often used as drop off/pick up point for holiday makers going to/returning from Lincolnshire and Yorkshire coastal resorts.
