Costa Coffee in Richmondshire

I’ve been coming here for some years now and what a warm welcome I get after a two hour drive from Scotland. I always get the same, Oat milk Latte and porridge. Done to perfection. Karen who always serves me is a little ray of sunshine who always seems to brighten up my morning. Absolute five star service from Karen and the team. Always a pleasure to visit.

Sandwich selection was a bit ropey. Coffee was up to the usual Costa standard though!

Friendly service from Amelia. Great drinks as well from the team. Pity Costa does not have segregated waste recycling.

I like coffee but not strange coffee It smells strange in there don't like it. I know no brainer it is a coffee shop

Extremely rude lady on cash register tsking orders. Asked to have to drink in, so have proper cups, poured cappuccino into paper cup, when I said I had asked for drink in , she said she could pour it into a cup!!! Froth and chocolate sprinkles where already on the coffee so not sure how that would work!!@ Wasnt even busy!@

Great costa great staff , had everything that needed to go on the trays, polite and friendly and made the cappuccinos perfect

Saturday 18th sep 2024 time 12: 25 worse cost coffee experience I've ever had. Colleges bickering with each other. Then two colleges that where surviving us were more bothered about discussing what there plans where for the weekend I stead of serving. Coffee was cold

So nice to get a warm friendly greeting in a costa

It's ok but at midnight it's a bit grim

Rip off prices, £4.25 for small hot drinks

Just cost to much for poor coffee

Latte tasted off. Returned it and cashier I dont think believed that I hadnt used a express machine for it, even though he had just purchased 2 other drinks on same order. She made me another and again tasted off and truely awful. Refund not offered. Didnt care for cashiers persona so I just said to throw it away. She offered a cold drink ! A hot drink is what was purchased so silly after offer.

Standard motorway coffee shop, friendly enough, prices high.

We love a good coffee and this place was nice

if i could give 0 stars i would The old lady with grey hair was VERY rude. She got my order wrong then when i went back and told her she stood there arguing with me for 5 minutes. Very Very unprofessional and this woman should be sacked dosent deserve a job in customer service

Lots of staff on making it as speedy as possible.

A nice Costa cafe at Scotch Corner. Service was good and there were nice sandwiches and cakes. Used our own cups for the drinks.

Served by the lovely Lizzie according to our receipt, very impressed with our whole experience. We have 3 little kids, nothing was too much trouble and felt extremely welcome. Food lovely, coffee awesome and babyccinos were a hit with the kids especially with a side of marshmallows. Thank you 🌞 great start to our holiday.

On our way to Scotland we called in for a snack. I got an “egg mayonnaise” sandwich. It was sliced egg on dry bread, no butter and no mayonnaise. I don’t know where the sandwiches are made but someone needs to be told how to make them!!! Hot chocolate was fine and staff lovely hence the 3 stars. For food it would be zero stars

Coffee delicious as always but unfortunately too slow service

Had a problem with the coffees from the machine earlier which meant it tasted like there was absolutely no coffee in it. We sought out some help and Christina by the front was more than happy to help and sorted us out. Thanks for the help!

The lady at the till was extremely rude. Told me off for approaching the counter when the gentleman in front of me stepped away, I hadn't realised he was coming back. Her words were 'excuse me, can you not see I'm not done serving this gentleman?" - well I couldn't because he had stepped away - and then told me to "go stand over there until I'm done." Most unpleasant employee, didn't seem to understand the concept of customer service. Ruined my experience at Costa, usually one of my favourite coffee shops. Just because it's located in a rest stop and may not have a lot of repeat customers is no excuse for being rude.

Very quiet when I visited but staff very friendly

I only drink Mocha when I'm in a coffee place and it can be hit and miss temperature wise (like it super hot). The one I had here was spot on.

Very good Costa at every hour of the day, drinks, food and service to brand standard. I visited at 11pm and 11am and the staff were friendly and everything was made properly

Can't believe site manager made servers wear blue plasters on their nosed, looks weird to say the least.......

Witnessed a really lovely moment today when the barista Josh helped a lady choose a gluten free sandwich and cake. The lady was walking with a stick and said she wouldn’t be able to carry her coffee to the car so would do without and just take the sandwich and cake, but josh very kindly offered to do this for her. Nothing was too much for him and he was very patient when helping her make her choices at the counter. Always good service at the main coffee shop in scotch corner services but this was above and beyond

No one to serve this morning, staff enjoying a cigarette outside, went outside and had to call them back inside to serve me a coffee, pretty bad customer service I would say.

Good coffee as always, clean and tidy with helpful staff and air conditioning.

Although I put 1 star .. it was the lowest I could pick to leave a review on what has been an awful experience... Older lady on the till was quite rude and as for the male member who was banging about as if it was too much of a chore to be serving and doing the job he is paid for ... the rest of the staff were more bothered about getting away early 😴 does any of the higher management ever react to these reviews ... OBVIOUSLY NOT .... Catterick Costa what a JOKE ⁰

Staff was so unprofessional making jokes amongst themselves and being so rude and blunt to customers including myself, and they also got my drink wrong, I ordered the mango frappe with popping balls and they didn’t put any balls in, joke of a place and customer service, rude little boy on tills

I got food poisoning after eating here recently.

Went to Costa Coffee at Scotch Corner 16/6 and the customer service was very very poor. There was a staff member from KFC being served who all 4 staff members knew. Gemma sauntered over to speak to the guy and finally decided to serve us but she wasn’t in a hurry. Appalled and wouldn’t recommend

Well we thought we would try the new kitkat iced chocolate, only to be handed it by staff and told "hope you like it because I thought it was disgusting". Not the customer service I expected and it made me not look forward to my drink at all. Which however was lovely!!

Woman at till was very moody, asked for a caramel iced latte (very clear and precise) got a hot latte. Felt too much of an inconvenience to ask them to change it. Ruined my morning. Breakfast wrap was average.

Called here on a Thursday morning around 10.30, was quite busy. Ample seating available though. The product range was a bit limited for the size of Costa, not normally what is expect. The staff were busy and looked like they needed a hand, the wait wasn't excessive, just seemed to take a while.... probably because I was ready for a break! Staff are friendly enough. The car park can be a bit awkward and if it's busy you might well end up parking up what seems quite a walk - partly due to the Travelodge that shares the site with the services.

Very busy only 2 staff on & one is busy with stock check! 20 minutes for a coffee? Really?
