Found this place small & cramped, good coffee, great muffin friendly service

Not that I'd ever have the expectation that every employee always has to smile at customers, but to get a lovely service with a smile from both the cashier and the barista in the morning was a nice start to my work day (04/03/25). Coffee up to standard as always in Costa.

I recently visited and had an amazing experience, thanks to the outstanding service from Mohammed and Uma.

A lovely latte, the staff were friendly.

My family and I came into this cafe and couldn’t stay more than two minutes, the place was dirty and nothing welcomed I tried to clean the high chair for my daughter but we decided to leave before ordering our coffee and treat. Can’t blame the lady as she was working on her own so probably can’t do everything. Disappointed

A standard chain of cafe with a good range of food and drink in a decent area. There is a good amount of seating and a clean bathroom for customers.

I had a better experience this time. I didn't have issues with the cashier not understanding my order of oat milk mocha. My drink was nice and I enjoyed it in peace.

Was very upset, made to feel ashamed and distraught by employees to not able to afford one item so I could get the code to use the bathroom. I'm a diabetic and left feeling disgusting and ashamed

It’s a shame as this could be a great cafe shop, especially given that Barry’s cafe across the road is now closed. This Costa is terribly understaffed … just one friendly barista trying to make cafe, heat food and take money. You need to clear the tables to sit down. Avoid the toilets … dreadful.

Anushree makes the best coffee and service is fantastic with her.

I visited this cafe today and I’m terribly dissapointed with the service and the place. First thing the bartender today Didn’t understand our order, the hot chocolates were cold, he placed the aircon when outside is freezing , we asked him politely to turn it off and he didn’t, then he opened the door and we were freezing ). To be honest people working in this environment should be hospitable, fully trained and more polite ). Not coming back again .

Excellent service by Brijesh and Anees. They told me to download the costa app for 1 free drink after 8 drinks which I didn't even know about having many a week. excellent service !!!

Please update your business hours or get your staff to come to work on time. Either of them is fine but posting opening hours that are not correct is not

it was good. nothing too special. one thing though ,there were bugs on all the cakes.

Came to this place for a cup of coffee and it was awesome, great taste and the price is good. Staffs are very friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I will go back for sure!

Came to the shop to buy a coffee, couldn’t decide what to have and had a nice conversation with Zana there, she was a great help in helping me to choose a nice coffee which tasted amazing. Also to note the customer service was outstanding would definitely come back.

staff cannot get one thing right it’s the same every time i go there or deliver. i always get a chai latte but they never get it right it’s always too watery and never add chai or even cinnamon! in my opinion it’s best to shut this costa down id rather go to the one in crouch end where staff know their customers and always friendly and polite with top quality drinks and service.

Went on bank holiday Monday, the staff were not listening and very rude. Not a nice thing to say about that Costa won't be going to that 1 again

The staff don’t know how to do their job

Used to be good but they have had a change in staff, now it’s never open when it should be. Kids serving your drinks can’t seem to get a simple cappuccino right. What’s going on costa!! You’re losing customers! I’m not the only one … I’ll be using a different coffee shop in future. Shame because the previous staff were lovely

Useless. They open at 7, except they don't it's like 7:15am by the time the staff are ready. I'll never bother with this place again.

Dreadful service. Staff need to listem. Staff need training on how to make and iced tea. 40 second dip in water doesn't cut it.

Really disliked! Staff were incompetent, gave gim my own cup yet made un a takeaway cup? No toilet paper, told the girl who just ignored me & finally just awarded me one coffee bean instead of two for taking own cup that was remade in the end. Rubbish inexperienced, miserable people..won't bw revisiting again 😐

Walked up to the Archway Costa because the Holloway Road (Upper Holloway) seems to be closed eventhough Google seems unaware of this. Had a tea and a toastie. Was supposed to have a Costa club discount but I'm sure it didn't go through because it was still rather expensive. Had to wait a while but the lady apologised and the servers were polite. Tables needed a wipe down, mind. Was nice to chill there for a few hours catching up with friends. Nice, central location by the tube station.

Worth it to get coffee delivered

Delightful manager who opened the store early to let a few bright eyed early doors customers in. Super friendly and welcoming and had me served along with the queue in just a few minutes. Clean and tidy with some good window seats (not many of them though) to see the world go by. Outside seating too.

Fast service as always ,new staff training as well ,sandwiches nice as usual ,coffee great .

Rude and disrespectful behaviour from the staff. I went there on Wednesday morning (16.03) and women behind the bar was horrible to me from the moment I went in. I wish I never set my foot in there.

Not listening when taking orders. Out of four drinks ordered only one was to satisfaction and that was fruit tea...

Too long waiting for service and toilet facilities

I always go to Costa coffee all around London today I try this one I had one free coffee that I wanted to use the person behind the counter said they do not accept it as they are a franchise what nonsense every Costa I have been to has never had a problem the person behind the counter was on her own and busy .she was polite and the coffee was good that was never the problem the had the Costa cards on the counter if you don’t accept them then get rid as it’s not the money it’s the principle that’s why its a one star ⭐️

Terrible customer service when we dropped in today at around 5.30. Two young ladies behind the counter, no one else waiting to be served. Got the order wrong twice, on third occasion we just took what was given. I asked for code for the toilet, was told there wasn't one. If it was locked it was because there was someone inside. Waited 15 minutes, . Asked 2 more times if there was a code. Was told no. Eventually was given receipt with code on. Toilet was empty. No apologies, just blank look.

Latte, toastie & muffin ordered at 2pm. Order didn’t arrive until 3:35/3:40. Toastie cold and hard wasn’t edible, latte mildly warm Ridiculous service!

Great service no spillage and my coffee was still hot.

Coffee was spilt and entire order ruined. Order was left unattended instead of being delivered as instructed.

I used the online app for the collection and it works fantastically! I was there and my coffee was almost done. Def good to avoid any wait. Overall coffee was good and delicious as standard also excellent customer service.

If you don't know what is lungo is better to be a hair dresser

What concerns me is that some of the staff handle cash and then dont sanitise there hands

When the Barista asks how you are and notices you are exhausted and further asks: "Are you sure you are okay? You seem exhausted.." you know you are in a great and safe place. Costa is not just about the coffee, the sofas or the cakes. It is about the way they treat their customers. I'll be honest, my sister worked for Costa in Glasgow and my goodness did she love her job. I have never come across a negative Costa barista or staff member and this experience is no different. Really thankful for my coffee experience. Thank you to the young man who served me tonight. You made my long night of work much easier. Thank you Costa.

Excellent customer service. Lovely hot drinks and selection of tosties.

Nice little cafe. Quiet. Nothing flashy, but they evidently have somebody OCD on staff because the coffee machine tastes of coffee, not coffee grounds. A clean loo. You have to point at the sandwiches, presumably because people treat it like a "self-service" restaurant.

Wonderfully warm and efficient welcome on a very rainy yet sunny last Saturday before Christmas 2019. Would have gone independent but memories of the bacon in a lightly toasted sourdough roll and promise of loyalty points lured me in.

Rude. I asked for Almond milk, she clearly didn't hear me as she had started pouring normal milk. After repeating myself and asking for Almond milk she got all angsty with me, I'm lactose intollerent, I really don't want to spend my day flatulating every 2 seconds. Then she says that they share equipment, for one thing not even supposed to do that as your allergens have to be spot on!! Put in a few drops of milk in the Blender and still asked if I would want it and if it was okay despite me mentioning the lactose intolerance. Like, what???

Better cappuccino than at most Costas.

This place is definetly great place, but most credit goes to hardworking staf for making it great place, especially my credit goes to staff member named Valentina as she was friendly, polite and very helpful with your order and quick too. She has a heart of gold, bless her. I will definetly come back again, only because of friendly staff such as Valentina who makes you feel welcome and enjoy a nice cup of coffee.

Friendly staff, good selection as any costa. Lots of seating (sofas and chairs) at the back. Ticks all the boxes for a coffee place, nothing extraordinary, just good.
