Costa Coffee in County Durham

The best coffee shop around. The girls are very very pleasant, lots of laughter and smiles and brilliant service.

Ordered two panini and a toastie, 2 coffees and 2 cinnamon buns. They were delivered early and the hot food & coffee was red hot when received. Everything was very delicious and order was correct. Delivery driver was so lovey and I regret not leaving a tip - I’ve no idea if I can leave a tip afterwards but this should be an option - not all delivery drivers are deserving of a tip and it’s not right to tip prior to receiving the service - especially when you receive a poor delivery experience.

great staff, very friendly atmosphere. I ordered a coffee on Wednesday, January 29 at 10:15 There was no sweetener and I have diabetes, a wonderful girl ran to the cafe next door and brought me some sweetener. If this is how you treat your customers, I will come back every day, especially since they are professional, wonderful and nice baristas.

just as tasty as previous. The warm drinks were spot on, too. Everything was warm and the drinks were piping hot.

Second time this week I have ordered Turkey Feast sandwiches - I ordered three this time (one for lunch today, tea today and lunch tomorrow and received three Turkey & Trimmings toasties. The millionaire shortbread was thrown on top of the table as ties so you can imagine the state of that…!!!! I mean, how can staff get it so wrong…I appreciate human error, but not this regularly…it was the same last year, I had to stop buying here and go to Starbucks instead.

I’ve never known a place whose customer service is so bad. They have messed my order of food up a couple of times, then took rewards of without asking me , over charged me and they do nothing for the inconvenience THEY have caused. The staff are ok apart from the manageress who has no idea what she is doing, never offers anything in way of compensation and has a bad attitude (probably trying to hide her incompetence). I wouldn’t recommend here at all. Costa will be getting an official complaint about this site.

Whilst my order was late by over two hours, I did what I paid for, AND I got two white Americanos out of it! (They ran out of large cups.)

I love an occasional treat at lunchtime when I’m super busy at home. Ordered a costa for lunch and added a request on the notes as previously ordered sandwich has been mistaken for a toastie so wanted to be sure I got the sandwich this time. So grateful to the staff for a delicious lunch and hot drink. Thank you all. Great job.

The xmas Brie bacon and cranberry panini is a disgrace The photo on the wall looks great The real sandwich is nothing like it Thin cheese tiny bit bacon Just sparse and worth about £2 at most Total Rip off at £ 5-20 ….,

Run of the mill Costa. Very busy, staff doing their best to serve and clear tables. Good selection of cakes, sandwiches and coffee.

Ordered for mine and hubby’s lunch as kids were out and we were DIY’ing. Delicious. Hot. Well packaged. Two items unavailable and a lovely apology note from the sender. Delighted that they sent similar flavour alternatives rather than part of the order missing. Thank you very much Costa Arnison. Fab job.

Stood and waited 5 minutes while 2 staff Stood and looked at me one even taking a drink while I waited then another customer walked in and got served before me , no acknowledgement of any staff at any point so I walked out and will never go back to that branch, terrible service

I don't go to Costa for the food but the coffee is unbeatable. I can't stand the burnt beans in Starbucks. The staff here are lovely but so under pressure... Every time we visit there are tables waiting to be cleared. Nonetheless the staff always have smiles and a babycino for our granddaughter.

A busy Costa. Take away cups are the order of the day. Coffee tastes different in take away cups.

Lovely staff, but the shop is far too air conditioned making sitting inside cold!

Called in here to meet up with my sister, I have never been to a Costa coffee shop before and if this is indicative of the chain I won't be going to any more, the air conditioning was so loud it was like being in an aircraft hanger, making conversation impossible.

Delivered by a lovely friendly driver. Ordered drinks, hot food and cake - all delivered in separate bags. Cappuccino and Chai latte were red hot which was great. Toasties not too hot so that was great as we could eat them straight away. Cakes intact and delicious. Overall a lovely lunch, especially as we were so busy and not able to make anything. Definitely order again.

Expensive not a good coffee, but every one to their own

Been using Costa coffee for years. Popped into this one on Thursday 21/07/22 to grab a cappuccino, wish I hadn't. It was the worst drink I've ever encountered with a really bitter taste. Never have I tasted anything like this.

It's got everything you would expect from a Costa.

Your general high street coffee chain shop. Selling all sorts of coffees and iced coffees along with soft drinks and smoothies. Sells all sorts of savoury sandwiches and sweet treats, such as bacon buns, sausage buns, chicken and bacon sandwiches, mini margarita pizzas, muffins, Tiffin's and tarts. Plenty of seating inside and outside with a toilet inside for general customer use.

One of my favourite places to go can't say anything else about it always nice staff :D

Popped into the Arnison Centre & sat inside for a quick latte & cake. Nice M&S sandwiches & cakes available. Service was relatively quick. Lots of tables for 2/3 people plus outside seating.

Service was swift today despite training of new staff member. There was a good selection of well presented food and drinks. There were no piles of used cups on tables which can be a frequent occurrence at this store. It was clean and comfortable and WiFi worked well. Staff pleasant friendly and attentive.

Sausage bap ordered, looks like it has butter on the bap and not stated on website. Dissapointed as I dislike butter and wouldn't have ordered had it been clear.

Drink was lovely , got the slated caramel frostino only thing that let it down was the cake, I got the rocky road.... tasted like it had been in the cabinet for weeks 🤢 it was so stale !!!

I'm a frequent Costa customer and this rates as the worst Costa experience... ever. Queued for ages, my wife sits down at the very limited seating as I make our order. My wife is then frog marched out of her seat so someone else can sit there (yes, they were one ahead of me in the queue but there every other seat was taken by people who weren't drinking or eating!) Why they couldn't have moved some of those on I have no idea - they just picked on the easy target, ridiculed my wife and embarrassed me. I ended up leaving my order and we left after making a bitter complaint to the manager that was replied with "Have a nice day!". The very young staff running and managing this Costa have tarnished their good name with disgusting treatment of actual customers. They need obvious and immediate training. We won't be returning. Beware.

Regular go to for a take out coffee - 9 out of 10 times order is spot on - extra hot which is extra hot - spot on. Friendly staff and branch is a popular place for many. Wish Costa would open a drive thru that side of Durham

Forgot to put both chocolate twists in with the delivery. That’s £4.50 of my money for nothing.

Nice Costa with good access but needs to open earlier, 9am is too late for staff who work at the Arnison when the shops open at 8am.
