Costa Coffee in Leicester

Sometimes, it is hard to get a table , as people sit for hours at a table working on their laptops when all you want is to sit and have a coffee

Also, have coffee here before doing the shopping staff very friendly and welcoming

As usual, not enough staff, queues out the door, 15 minutes to get a coffee. Not the staff I blame, but the greedy corporate idiots who think poor service is acceptable

Usually very good, but the hot drink was luke warm/cool upon delivery.

I went to take my birthday treat and no staff smiling or welcoming any one, she gave me the piece of cake which she put it on the board of the plate and without fork maybe it must be eaten by hand, the guy who gave the coffee was kind and gave me the fork as he noticed the dessert without fork. Tables are fully of trays and nobody clearing table for yourself. They did not have carrot cake!!!

I counted 11 flies on the coffee machine and cups while waiting, several more on the wall, a lady had flies on her food while waiting for the drinks.

Just visited the Beaumont leys coffee shop and had to write a review. The staff are amazing, the two people in duty today were so friendly and helpful. Showing me how to use my app and making sure I got just what I wanted. I can't recommend them highly enough

I was super impressed with a young man who was working on the morning shift today, 2707/2024. He was on his own, with a que of people, but he managed brilliantly. Multitasking, very polite, and super fast. Well done! He makes a huge difference to that location.

Good Costa coffee as usual, pleasant staff but the place is filthy. Not one cleared table, had to move dirty trays and cups onto other tables to sit down.

Young lady Chelsea at the till was very helpful and friendly. Bubbly and full of energy, got the queue down the fastest I’ve seen. And she shares a great taste in music and complimented my Billie Ellish T-Shirt. The frappes my partner and I ordered came very quickly and tasted great.

Great store however it’s obvious that staff dislike cleaning during the day. Guys it’s not cool for your customers to clean tables or move things around whilst you stand there watching them! Tables are dirty, floor is dirty and empty cups are all over.

Had a lovely experience here today. My son has autism and was struggling finding what he wanted and asked for strawberry milk. Dan the gent at the till spoke to him and said the strawberry frappe will taste like strawberry milk. He even asked my son if he would like it thick or added milk so it's thinner. I had a very happy boy with his drink. Thank you so much Dan xx

The staff there are so sweet the manager is amazing and the service is great I would go every day if I could!!

The staff here are really busy but always friendly and helpful, I visit every Tuesday and after a recent knee injury put me on a crutch one member of staff went out of her way each day telling me to sit down and fetching my drink over.

The food items were completely wrong

The Manager Claire was downright rude and ignorant to my friends needs. She is a bad representative for the Costa brand. I would not recommend anyone to visit. I will never go there again neither will any of our other friends.

Most of the staff seem racist and the service is awful.

Costa is getting too pricey but is the best coffee. Can see many changing to greggs which is what i am actually seeing as they wont pay the extra.

Grabbed a hot chocolate at this Costa and it was anything but — the hot chocolate was barely lukewarm and was definitely pricey for what was received. Aside from that the staff and service were alright, nothing overly special to report really. There is plenty of seating inside the cafe, outside in the shopping mall, or outdoor seating and tables in the shopping centre.

Closed off food section and overnight switched off in preparation to leave early! Everything looked in working order…. Would be 1 star but lady was smiling when she spoke.

The manager was a darling, I was treated badly at a previous costa outlet, and she has changed my view as I bought my girlfriend a hot chocolate drink..to the point where I will always use Costa coffee again..well done you, you put the customer first..and your hot chocolate is delightful..

Friendly staff. Sorry to say management don’t help them to repair dishwasher. So if you want hot drinks or any drink in Cups not available. You have to drink in paper cups which will change taste of you coffee, I don’t recommend if you like real taste

Friendly staff even though they were busy they still took the time to tidy tables and mafe aure we had everything we needed

The hot chocolate come freezing and some of my order was missing

Drinks came cold compared to what they should of been like...hot. Not pleasant.

Don't like Costa to expensive fo pensioners.

The website says it closes at 5pm on Sundays but the shutter goes down at 3.40pm.Why can't they say 3.40pm if that's what happens.

Costa is my fave take away drinking, must day though considering I only drink 2 drinks from here the consistently is vastly different store to store. That's the reason it's only four stars. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable

Good for an early morning coffee

Been 3 times to this branch and every time the order is wrong. Staff are either not properly trained or just useless.

Never again! A salted caramel frappe served with no caramel , staff said they ran out of sirop. Terrible staff very rude and bad drinks

Had lattice and ham cheese toast lovely

Had 2 children in a trolly, was told to take the trolly out. I wasn't dining in, just wanted to pay for a sandwich. Was expected to hold 2 kids in my arms or leave them outside!

Huge. Great seating options - inside the cafe or outside. Friendly staff who are really quick with orders and helpful. Clean and smart looking.

This costa coffee shop has steadily gone down and down. Young staff are so slow. There just doesn't seem enough staff at times as tables are constantly dirty. Instead of a refurb the money would gave been betterment on staff and staff education. 😠

Staff rude, asked for tap water with our order and was met with a huff and puff, had to remind them of the water, then take my hot drink back as it was luke warm. Tables was dirty, since the revamp it's got less tables so they could fit in the big sofa type seats so losing customers that way.

2 stars for the coffees only. The staff at this branch need to learn some customer service skills, very abrupt in the couple of words spoken. Even though there was a queue the young lady on the till decided to answer a mobile phone call & disappear into the kitchen, leaving the other lady to cope with everything.

I don't normally write reviews but I wish to extend my thanks and thoughts to Costa Coffee in Beaumont Leys. I had taken my elderly mother for her shop on Saturday a couple of weeks back and she can experience anxiety towards strangers. She had known the team previous to this visit. There were new/newer staff on duty but a lady by the name of Sanifa/Safina had provided excellent customer service which allowed her to enjoy her mid-morning tea. Sanifa/Safina had helped her tremedously and went out of her way to make her visit most comfortable. I'm sorry we didn't take down your name but I hope this is enough for management to recognise you. Thank you!

Nice place but long wait for drinks

Prices getting too expensive. £3.10 for coffee. I will go elsewhere.

Food brilliant found coffee a little too strong

Having worked in hospitality for 5+ years I can say that this Costa is absolutely disgraceful! -Abismal standard of hygiene behind the bar -Staff disinterested in serving customers -Toilets and half of the cafe closed because 'they don't have time to clean it' even though there are 5 members of staff present. Overall impression is that due to the young age of all the staff the cafe is not run adequatly whatsovever and is in need of serious help. By far the worst experience I've ever had not just in a Costa, but in hospitality as a whole. Disgusting.

The staff took ages to get our order, the back bar was filthy. Half the shop and toilets were closed off because of insufficient staffing at the end of the night to clean up these areas. This Costa needs a serious look on staffing, quality of staff, and quality of cleaning.

This was the worst service I have ever experienced. The person making the coffees was that slow the queue was all around the shop. The back of the counter was filthy .

Never known a place to take to long to make a coffee

If you dont mind waiting 20minutes for a cold toastie this is the place for you

Costa coffee shop up Beaumont Leys is very nice n clean ,well worth a short pit stop if your up there.

The staff here always make the best latte! Whenever I try one somewhere else I'm always disappointed. Plus they're always really friendly.

The smoke area is a hazard to health.

Even with the COVID restrictions, they still manage to give a great service and the coffee is as good as always! Oh, try the chocolate tiffin! Really tasty!

From a 5* last year to 1*, certain member of staff is just so rude, think knows it all however think she needs to read Equality Act 2010, head office have been informed, shame as rest of staff are gd..

I was supported by the branch manager who stepped in during busy times. Her mannerisms and customer service were outstanding. Especially the way she spoke to my 4yr old and making him feel valued. Caremel latte was on point. Thanks guys.
