Costa Coffee in Birmingham

It's Costa. quite a big one. Only really busy on the weekends. Every time I go there the tables are left with several customers rubbish. And I don't know what all the staff are doing but they're not serving. The place is basically dirty, both in the sense crumbs and the furnishings. I'll take some pictures next time i go.

Went to the smaller costa At mere green young lady on her own very polite and fast even when she was quiet she kept herself busy by sweeping floors and cleaning

We went towards the end of the day and there were a number of dirty tables and the place looked a little messy and dirty. The coffee was standard for Costa Coffee. I'd like to see more comfy seating, rather than wooden chairs. This place needs cleaning on a much more frequent basis, too. I'd go again, but there are better and more well-kept coffee shops in the area.

Decent coffee as always . The restaurant just needs. A really good clean and staff being a little more attentive on tables to be cleaned

Busy but quick service. Pink lemonade, peach icetea, carrot cake, cinnamon bun. All fresh and tasty. 😋

This is my local Costa but my least favourite when compared to other Costas I visit (Aldridge, Asda Minworth). The tables aren't cleaned often enough and the furniture is jaded. The soft furnishings are filthy (sofas and chairs). The owners need to invest in more staff, train them and supervise them properly and upgrade the interior. Otherwise they will lose business to Cafe Nero which has a good outside area for summer.

Good coffee but they were very busy so some of the tables were not being cleaned quick enough. Friendly and helpful staff though.

Always a bit disorganised and tables are not clean, toilets a bit messy too. But the coffee and food are good.

Staff need to smile with the customer to make you want to spend time there. Food was good, but seating areas are tired and in need of update.

Please STOP USING these horrible tumblers. Lattes are served in CUPS.

Ordered the new blueberry bubble yesterday, my drink was topped off with chocolate sauce instead of the blueberry sauce 🤢 Maybe if the two girls working weren’t gossiping they would have got the order right. They also made a drink for my partner how asked for a skinny drink and it was made with full fat milk. Very annoying when you want to try a new drink!

Dull and outdated Staff rude with a big gob Who needs a lound speaker 🔇 when u got a gob like the till lady on a foggy morning !!!!

Apart from a few tables to clear very nice 👍

The driver dropped our drinks and they were all spilt- he was very apologetic; I have requested for a refund. Thank you 😊

Dirty tables and tired looking decor. Like most Costa s I’ve been in recently they are understaffed Basically they are now being run to maximise profits at the expense of the customer experience

What a disappointing visit , massive ques and possibly new staff being thrown in the deep end , I waited and waited and eventually left , come on costa you can do so much better , please clear off the tables as well !

Always a disaster here! Order wrong always! Some of the staff rude. Only use this Costa as it’s close to my house.

Love going here. Only criticism is that I think there should be 2m markings for customers to abide by. I had an elderly gent with his mask under his nose getting far too close to me whilst in the queue. Staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend a visit 👍☀️

Only one member of staff on first thing in the morning. Table was sticky not to mention the floor under my feet which was even stickier!

It is what it is a well laidout coffee shop, in a pleasant location. It just gets very full around school starting and ending times.

Missed off the toastie which was for my nephew he didn’t get his breakfast as he’s a veggie I couldn’t give him the sausage sandwich.

Cup is damaged on coffee, leaked all over my floor, driver aware but unhelpful. Will not use again.

As expected, but very busy due to shoppers in bull ring

I asked for a sausage bap and got a bacon bap, I asked for a croissant and got a sausage roll! Not impressed.

Shame it was so busy .I had to ask for table to be cleaned,and clear away used crocks.

Love a Costa! Good variety of cakes and sandwiches if you get there early enough. Always clean and tidy, lovely staff too who make you feel welcome

Probably the slowest service ever received in a costa. If it’s busy ok it’s understandable but it wasn’t. It was just slow

Good service from the staff and typical style coffee and cakes etc from the Costa chain. Enjoy it here though it often seems so noisy you can hardly hear yourself think!!

First time I've been back inside since the start of Lockdown last year. I was meeting a colleague and it was their suggestion. Good call. Forgotten just how cosy it is. I'll even forgive the rather slow service, considering it wasn't exactly rammed. Looks like it's back on my list.

No social distancing waiting 20-minutes for coffee

Coffee is OK if you do not take too much water with it. The waste from Costa Coffee & Cafe Nero accumulating outside is an eyesore in Mulberry Walk. You should do more to clear it & encourage the public to discard their waste properly.

Always a queue, but worth waiting for!

Easy parking 3hrs free, clean tables and toilets, only short q.

Tried the new honeycomb latte, can't say I'd recommend it, but the tables have been well spaced and it was clean and not overly busy, so that was good.

Nice enough place staff a little miserable though service with a smile NOT !!

Laughed at my order today and are usually rude every time I come in. Was not very friendly at all... I am very disappointed sort out your staff please!!

Not as friendly as other Costa's I been too.

Great coffee shop. It can get expensive if getting food and drinks. Good place to get some work done with a coffee or tea. Would recommend coding in here as people might ask you to leave as they thing your "hacking" them as I had this at a different shop. All their drinks are high quality and nice but the hot chocolates are a bit grity

Chai late with cinnamon is a must

Good place to meet with friends and talk. Not as noisy as in other Costas.

Quite friendly cafe although very busy. The staff behind the bar were well organised and connected.

Called in there yesterday,Latte tasted very bland, and the toast was disgusting it tasted like cardboard could it be the bread was stale, I gave one star because the shop was open. Very poor in my estimation

This one was one of the better ones some of them need retraining they don't take enough care

Rated this Costa in the past. Varied experiences. Sometimes 5* sometimes 3* so gone for 4. Good comfortable atmosphere. Good stock usually. Service varies but is better lately.

Very nice team, I got out the door & dropped my whole coffee on the ground immediately 😩 I went back in & it was replaced free of charge which was nice of them as it was totally my fault! They’re always nice in there 😃

Refurbished Costa is more stylish and welcoming now. Comfy seats and trendy decor, it is more than a match to the popular nearby Caffe Nero.

Service was ok. Drinks were dripping from the sides when given to us. No customer care.

Handy location, plenty of parking within a very short walking distance. I'm not sure if they were short on staff or just busy, we had to clear our own table 🤔.

No matter which one you go into to, they are always friendly staff and very accommodating to parents with pushchairs!

In out got my fix , no problems .

Sutton Coldfield branch. Despite between busy (only 4 covers spare) the premises were clean, service quick, pleasant and efficient. Counters well stocked with fresh product. Tables cleared swiftly. Entrance needs reviewing-draughty. Had an informal business meeting there. Good call.

I like going to Costas. The smell of the coffee is great - not that I drink it any more ! A good place to socialise!

Coffee was average and the door handle to get in was filthy, you might as well wash your hands going in and going out. Needs new door handle!!

Ignoring that all Costa are massively overpriced, this is a nice branch.

Regular Costa place. Typical city location with coded lock in the unisex disabled toilet

Short walk from Four Oaks Station. Very busy at midday. Young parents with young kids. Same food and drinks as other Costa Coffee shops.
