Costa Coffee in Woking

One wonders whether the top brass at Costa pay attention to reviews of their shops… this one seems to have the same issues cropping ip constantly. I won’t add more to the existing comments - my experiences are the same - but will voice that clearly staff / politeness / customer experience don’t matter when you directly opposite a train station. Do a little “secret shopping” between 7 and 10 in the morning guys - not that hard… Also - the soft close on the door is broken. Every time it’s opened it bangs. Just bloody fix it!

I like to go to cafeterias with a book to read, have my coffee and disconnect from everything else but, the staff come across impolite and as if they are forced to work. Puts me off. First time I thought “ok. Maybe they’re just having a busy day” then second time I instantly regretted it. As much as I love my costa coffee. I’d rather walk 30 mins to get it elsewhere than go to this negative environment cafeteria.

Great atmosfere and friendly staff. Sure eveyone is stressed when it's a busy time but is really nice to feel this atmosfere..

Need to put covers outside for customers sitting outside everything else really good

you can't buy real coffee there, it has no taste, you can make better ones at home, I asked for hot coffee, unfortunately the girl said she made it hot but unfortunately it wasn't , she did again but was not good , newer back there again !!!! They do know haw to make caffe , I’m sorry us to expensive to pay for not good caffe …Only costa is best and is amazing - in shopping centre Staines , 😍😍😍😍they know haw to do real caffe and hot with taste !!!! Staines in shopping centre Costa - thank you for all staff Costa in Woking unfortunately is not good, very very bad I’m sorry but waste of money 😑

There’s a barista who works here who is amazing. Her name is Maddie. Shes always friendly and conversational and makes my Costa visits worthwhile.

I've been coming here quite often, but last Sunday the bartender gave me the wrong drink. I ordered iced caramel latte but he gave me hot caramel latte. And today when I ordered ham and cheese it was expired. I couldn't go back to exchange drinks and food because I had to catch my train. I feel the service is very bad and will never come back here

The staff are cold and the girl working today is impolite, not greeting people neither saying thank you or nice words to the customers. Looks like she is forced to come to work.

Excellent service, staff always friendly and helpful. Nice relaxing atmosphere and ideal local opposite train station entrance.

Why would they accept the order first and then never deliver?

It was very peaceful, inviting and the coffee was very fresh and rich tasting.

I am fine with 15 minutes late considering I had a meal arrive the other-day from another restaurant 6 hours late.

I love coffee- but dont usually opt for costa. until i saw a beautiful young lady serving a delicious looking drink. I couldn't resist. I was served by Ella and wow. I've walked this earth 46 years and THIS made it all worth while. I had a flat white. And then i begrudgingly left. I have to move towns but on the train home, that Coffee and the excellent barista-ess made the trip all that more enjoyable.

Not the drivers fault but your gps systems always sent them else where and not to our address so they always end up going round the block numerous times

I was a couple of times, always dissapointing, the service is awful, no queue, you can wait for your coffee for ages

Nice, good, friendly service in the mornings from the ladies in there. One friendly woman remembers my drink only short amount of time I've been going there. Really good service from Kelly, only went in the for my usual Coffee and I walked out of there with my Coffee and a Brownie, good upselling from Kelly. Staff in the afternoons not as helpful and friendly though, got over charged by one guy and another day the girl had no knowledge of customer service and didn't listen to what I wanted for my drink, had to ask twice for a domed lid 🙄

Enjoy the company of dropouts and layabouts who perpetually sit out side and smoke. Be treated to awesome sounds from their boom box - if you want them or not!

Ordered iced americano. What I got was a shot of coffee in cold water, with hardly an ice cube in sight. Disgusting..

The two staff were not attentive and appeared to be doing nothing to gossip. They appeared to be put out for having to serve someone, they impatiently rushed through my order and rang up the charges before I could scan my app. The service was quick but all so then go back to gossiping. Not impressed.

We had 2 lovely ladies serving us who were so helpful and friendly. Phoebe and Martina were great.

Visited this morning before taking the train & had a lovely cortado. Son had a coke zero and a sausage bap, which he said was tasteless. Otherwise, fast, efficient service and clean so v pleased! UPDATE JAN 2023: Visited again by myself and had a lovely cortado. Staff were really friendly and efficient and café and toilets very clean. Best service in town, hence why I'm upgrading to 5 stars!

Convenient coffee shop for Working station. Usually buy my breakfast here on way to our UK office after getting off the train from London. Super friendly staff.

Lovely staff, Alex the new man is polite and really helpful. Outdoor seating area. Had a flat white which I love getting from Costa as it is a full size drink not a tiny flat white like other places. Tried the Christmas Terrys Choc orange muffin, it was lovely.

We come here quite often as my little boy loves the hot chocolates. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and go above and beyond to accommodate my sons weird and wonderful requests. We are usually served by Martina who is great!

The staff smoke right by the front door, making it smell like cigarette smoke. The tables are sticky and just filthy. Maybe have less chats with mates and clean the place better. Not impressed at all.

Terrible service. I’ve just walked out of the store. Staff are too busy laughing and chatting with each other not paying attention to waiting customers.

Ok to sit inside but outside lots of loud drinkers sitting about so watch out for that if it's a nice day and you want to be outside, I would choose elsewhere lovely staff

I wanted to use the toilet before I purchased a drink and food. Surely totally understandable right??? No apparently I had to purchase something. The code to the toilet would be on the receipt. I was getting a takeaway before I got on the train, I did not want to take my food and drink into the toilet. What has this world come to where I am not trusted. Use common sense. I doubt you care, but I will never use your shop again.

I ordered via mobile and went to the shop to pick up the coffee which was in front of the working station on morning 6th Jan 2022 and 2 staffs were working that time. and my coffee has not been ready even already left 10minutes after my order but this is not the point. The point is I asked about my coffee to staff they even didn't listen and kept ignoring me and just took my coffee in front of me. And say goodbye have a great day like sarcastic. that is the point I was disappointed in.

It gets busy but they always have enough staff available to keep queues moving. Excellent coffee choices. Try the special Christmas range.

I like this store, it's the best of the 3 Costas locally however the one guy who works there is a bit of a misery. There's a couple of girls who are rather ditsy but ever so charming and extremely sweet. Coffee is great too.

The Peacocks branch seems a poor relation to the one at Albion House by the station. Coffee quality is a bit pot luck and staff not quite as jolley as the other outlet. Can highly recommend the Albion House store, great coffee at right temperature and staff makes you feel welcome and afterwards you feel cheery yourself for the rest of the day.

This Costa branch is fantastic! It's nice and looks clean throughout. Members of staff are polite, professional and very informative - I didn't know about the meal deal - the girl serving at that time told me about it and I ended up saving money. The coffee making is good and when you ask for extra hot...you get it. Thank you!

Really nice staff and great coffee. The open plan layout gives a sense of space but also means you can't escape from people have loud conversations on the phone. Otherwise it's a comfortable branch of Costa I recommend.

Blah.. Don't charge me twice for the item I've purchased. Train you staff better.

A good facility very close to Woking station. Plenty of room and pleasant staff. Worth a visit.
