Costa Coffee in Wakefield

An ok coffee shop. My only gripe is the high price of coffee in the UK.

Great coffee but far too pricey

"Phasing out" tea pots! What on Earth?! If I am sitting down inside a cafe, I do not want to be given a cup of hot water and a separate tea bag! (There was an additional 10 minute wait for a proper tea pot, according to the barista!). Corporate 'time saving' nonsense at the expense of making a half-decent pot of tea!

One of the best costas I have used, clean

Service is great, can't fault the staff, but the coffee always seems inconsistent, never seems the same each time we go. Usual Costa menu and atmosphere, although every time we go the air conditioning is too high (cold) Situated in a busy retail park, it can get very busy at peak times and seating isn't the biggest. Wheelchair friendly, as are toilets. Worth a visit, although the shopping centre if full of many coffee shops. Enjoy.

There’s a lovely lady called Brooke who serves me quite frequently, her customer service is amazing, very friendly and always has a smile on her face. What a credit she is to Costa.

Friendly staff, reasonably priced snacks and drinks

I was pretty disappointed with this Costa. Generally I’m a really big fan of Costa and much prefer it the rival chains. However in this occasion I found the drinks at this branch much below the usual standard. The latte was ‘too hot’ and has such had a burnt taste (can you burn milk?!?). The iced latte was lacking ice, so it wasn’t very cold. In general, the store was really clean, however there didn’t seem to be many staff and tables weren’t getting cleared particularly quickly and service took longer than normal as the queue was quite big.

Dirty tables you clearly yourself. Twenty minutes for a drink and people smoking and vaping as you go in. What's not to love.

Always great coffee, can be a bit of a squeeze for seats at busy times.

Good standard coffees. Still got to clear your own table sometimes and hardly ever wiped down. All staff are behind the counter. Needs x1 front of house to make it 5 stars. Prices standards. You know what your gonna get and what your gonna pay.

Was very busy and lots of tables needed clearing. Coffee was what you expect from Costa

Called in after the lunch time rush today. So it wasn't as busy as it could be. Enjoyed the coffee and granary toast. The staff were helpful and cheerful as always.

Service is always slow and price for brown water is crazy but its pleasant enough.

Only one server working despite it being very very busy. Server was friendly but very very stressed. I would have liked to have given a higher rating but both of our coffees were lukewarm and not enjoyable at all

Excellent from walking in to leaving. The only down side is when it's busy there's no room to maneuver a wheelchair.

Great coffee but air con was on too high and quite noisy from coffee machines etc.

Came today. Flys all over the cookies. Told staff they didn’t listen and still served them order 3 drinks and only two came. Waited 5/10 mins. And only then they made my drink.

Waited ages and not that busy. When the order came it was incorrect and the coffee was weak. The whole place seemed dirty but they are all kids working there.

The young lady who served me was very friendly and helpful as I was having a problem with my phone app she solved the problem quickly

Only issue I have is staff are slow cleaning dirty tables 30 minutes is not on.

A great place to get a lovely propper cup of coffee, nothing compares to Costa coffee.

It is often quite off-putting when the queue is out the door, yet little appears to be going on. Service is very slow, and if it wasn't for the voucher I wanted to use, id have gone elsewhere. The drinks were ok, decided to try tea for once and it was very weak. The place looked a bit run down and dirty but virtually empty despite the big queue. Not typical, Costa is normally my go-to place for coffee.

Over priced & under staffed. Ques was a joke ,very slow service only 2 staff on 1 just doing drinks . Queuing out the door

X2 BLT X2 Flat whites almost £20 they didnt have the cooler i originally wanted. The sandwiches were nice and fresh coffee was much better than last time but I would say the price is a little excessive and the staff weren't very pleasant

Arrived at 7:17pm was told closed, on google iy says open till 8pm. All i wanted was a hot choco.

Always have to queue to order a drink and then queue for it to be served.

Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon, staff were rushed off their feet but happy and friendly, the restaurant was clean and tidy, the service was fast and efficient.

Love it. A lovely place to have a break while shopping. Great staff and a wide choice of food to choose from.

Lovely, comfortable interior. So handy to drive here and call in after filling my van with fuel. Staff in the background very busy, forget to smile. I feel that once you have your drink and waiting for hot food. You can sit down and hit food brought over to your table would be a greater experience

Called in for a coffee and soft drink after a day off shopping for a caffeine hit before driving home. Good coffee served the same as all Costa coffee shops.

Called in for a drink as I wasn't feeling too good. But felt better after a nice cup of coffee and a smoothie to take with me. Find it expensive,but everything is very tasty. The toilets could do with checking on a regular basis as the one used by most people was in a bit of a state. That's down to the people that used it though.

Could not find one table that didn't need cleaning not just needing a wipe down put loads of tables with cups left on them, not a great deal of people in so it's not as though it was too busy.. manager came from behind back saw how bad it was a did a fast clean up.. but not enough for up never to go in this one again.

Visited midweek for a change and a lot more relaxed. Still good service, courteous staff and a decent cup of coffee. Never fails to meet expectations.

Poor girl on the till was run ragged.. Shop was super busy and all the delivery orders didn't help 45 minutes in the queue... Girl serving was super helpful and bought drink out to me save me standing and waiting for that too

Met up with family for a coffee it was lovely

Personally I don't get the whole Costa thing being better than anywhere else. Its coffee, and always a wait to get it. So I very rarely go in one. But we was out with family and wanted a drink, so went in. Queue was to doorway, took forever to actually get to order. Then another 15/20 minutes to actually get drinks. No cups so had to have take out cups. The girl who was making drinks was actually fantastic at her job, calm efficient and doing her absolute best to make drinks. But she was the only one, so that explains the queuing. She needed help, there should have been two people making drinks. All time we was there the queue was to the door, never went down, in fact it grew to outside. I didn't use loo's but others with us did and all said they wasn't very good. Needed cleaning/sweeping. I know people have a thing about Costa, but not for me and our visit just made me realise why.

Surprisingly, unlike nearby Starbucks or most of the shops at junction32, it is not a dog friendly place, so this is our last visit, bye.

The young lad was nice and talkative The place needed a good clean. The loo was grim. Looked like it's not been cleaned in a week. I told the management all I got was. I'm busy

Been going here regularly for quite a few years the staff are always so busy but nothing is too much trouble, they honestly never stop working! Special mention to the lovely amber she literally lights up your day always got a smile and deserves the recognition 😊

Good food and drinks. Cutlery was not clean though, totally unacceptable.

They don't like you overstaying your welcome Tickets for not getting out soon enough Price rises soon! July now As in gone up now more beans to collect to get free cup! It'll cost me an extra £8 now to get free cuppa Nearly £9 at Mway services £2 per cup at McDs for similar Latte

Lovely place to go very nice coffee i use different costa shops and they are all very nice.

There is very little atmosphere.I would also appreciate the choice of food to be served hot or cold.there needs to be improvements to be made does not compare with other Costas I visit

Comfy chairs, decent service and not too busy.

Very noisy. The hot white chocolate was not as hot as I hoped for.

Always busy, but when you do get in its good to sit with a drink and a sausage sandwich. No soap in the toilet though the last couple of times we've been. Apart from that we like it.

One of several Costa's we visit and the worst! Today asked for a toasted teacake. We only have hot x buns. Can I have toast and jam. Answer yes but we don't have any butter !!! NOT THE 1ST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. Beggers belief !

As with most Costa coffee shops service was a bit slow and tables not cleared but the food was very good

I went in with my fiancé, we didn't have food, just a drink, it was lovely.

Had a lovely ham and cheese toastie. Lovely staff lovely decaf tea

Coffee was nice, however slow to get served as only 1 member of staff serving. Banana and pecan cake was lovely, biscoff rocky road was average and quite small. Nice that outdoor seating is available

Only one tiny thing spoilt it like a flea in the ointment Disabled toilets -no toilet paper or soap Good job I had some tissues ! I reported it to server she did apologise to me but I could tell nothing was going to be done I explained I wasn't complaining for my own sake but concern for any disabled person who could be in a worse predicament Server in second thought said she would report it to the manager I would give it all 5 star if it weren't for no toilet paper in the Disabled toilet room and no soap so I give it 3 star 4 star for service because when I first reported to server about no toilet paper her saying sorry to me in first instant wasn' t given any thought so I had to explain She then realised the situation with an apology again and said she would report it to the manager I would have given 5 star for service but for acknowledgement of complaint I give 4 star Given it was very busy too maybe she deserved 5 star Good coffee I enjoyed and the chocolate rocky road was deliciously moreish 😋 5 star
