Totally disinterested and rude staff. Leena (?) can't quite remember her name, was the most miserable person I've encountered.

Nice lady at the counter.. 11.30pm and no food..

My recent visit to Costa on 13th May 2024 left much to be desired as the service fell far below expectations. From long wait times to unresponsive staff, the experience was marred by inefficiency and a lack of attentiveness. Despite the appealing menu options, the poor service detracted significantly from the overall enjoyment of the visit. I felt the inequality and racism. I won't recommend to visit this costa shop to anyone. Thank you.

My recent visit to Costa was disappointing due to the poor service provided. The customer service was so poor , they even didn’t provided tissue when we asked them . Staff who was on this day (13/05/2024)was not good , they even haven’t a good smile on their face , felt like racism. It's disheartening when a brand known for its quality fails to deliver on the basic elements of customer service. Won’t suggest to visit the costa in this service anymore …

I waited 15 minutes for someone to come at the costco across from this resort. Finally someone came and said we were closed. There was a customer inside, I think he was racist towards us, he didn't sell us coffee. 12 May 10.50 pm. Costa on the left as you go north to Manchester

Holly, Jack, Karen, Ceejay, Abi, and Leonor (please forgive the spelling) have amazing customer service. These humans make me feel so welcome every time I come in. They are attentive, lovely and go out their way. They have a sense of humour and make me laugh at least once! Deserve a pay rise if you ask me!!

Girl on the counter couldn't be more interested if she tried. No smile, no please and thank you and totally devoid of any personality. If she doesn't want to be there then why is she still employed. It's not the first time in this particular branch which makes me wonder about the Management.

I’m hoping for the manager to see this and give his amazing employee recognition - Steven helped me at 3am on 04/02 to fit my spare tyre, helped me without a second thought and made sure it was safe! I can’t thank him enough, an outstanding employee and person all round

Congrats, to Costa for finding the least interested staff. They would win gold medals for apathy if such a thing existed. My coffee tastes like a cup of boiling water with a hint of coffee- totally disgusting.

The Barista doesn't know the difference between an Americano and a Latte.

I like to drink my coffee from Costa, and while I was traveling, my friend and I took a break and ordered coffee from this branch, but unfortunately it was the worst coffee I have ever drank in my life, and therefore I do not advise anyone to drink their coffee from this place at all.

Costa coffee with no coffee available. 2 boilers, one apparently not working yet still not able to get hot water from the other so not serving coffees 🤔

Yet another good Costa food drink and service as good as always can't fault Costa yet to find one which disappoints

Good place for coffee and price is okay, if you have a Costa card you can earn points and possibly a free drink.

£8.70 for two large coffees. No thanks, you keep them at that price. Staff struggling for clean crockery & no clean spoons .Not good enough.

Only one member of staff making the drinks. Queue over 8 meyres long. Waited 10 minutes hardly moved. Gave up and went into shop adjacent and used costa coffee mavhine for our drinks. Very didappointed indeed. Very understaffed

Stopped off for an iced coffee at 2am on 27/04/2022 The woman who served me was so rude and arrogant. Any time I asked a question she was blunt and not accommodating - then served me my ICED latte which was warm. I used to work for Costa and understand the shot is hot however I asked for more ice as my drink was warm to which she responded in a huff saying she can't and 'ye well the shot is hot' in the most patronising tone I've ever received ... yes I am aware but that defeats the point of an iced coffee ... She made an issue out of getting me a little extra ice to make my drink cold.... Just checked the reviews to see if there was anything else about this woman and I was not surprised ... she needs an intervention

I was stuck at Frankley for almost 6 hours awaiting recovery. Having sat for some time in Costa as they had the only comfortable seats the young lady who was working approached me and said she was due to finish shortly and I had been there bearly as long as her. She very kindly offered me a drink as I had been there so long and it was cold. She insisted on making me a coffee and as I was the only person there chatted to me for a while. Her name is Emily and is a credit to Costa and I had noticed during the time waiting that she had excellent skills dealing with the different customers who came and went and was extremely efficient and conscientious. An angel in my several hours of need😊

Lovely friendly staff,nice coffee and cakes and very clean.

Easy ordering just a shame only had one person serving at one time.

Costa is Costa, if you haven’t been there before, it’s similar to Starbucks and does ok coffee. They do a good cortado. I don’t normally review a costas if I’ve been in but thought the staff were particularly friendly, cheery and helpful so thought I’d give them. 5 star review today. I hope Costa gives them both some sort of reward 😉

I had cheese toastie with a hint of mustard, wife had a lain hame and cheese toastie, we loved it. Decaff tea and a lattee coffee ( you can get a decaf lattee).

1 member of staff who was very miserable and very slow. If you work within the hospitality sector then politeness and a smile goes a long way. If staff don’t like there job find another job.

Staff here are letting the brand down. Coffee was below standard as well. Overall a really poor experience.

The staff are very nice, but unfortunately like all Costa's; lack any training in how to make coffee. I only get a coffee from Costa when there is litterally no other option, I'm always disappointed. Asked for a flat white and got a bubbly mess with a strangely sweet syrup after taste. I just feel like there is no quality control at Costa.

Staff weren’t bothered about the service they offered.

Filthy! 3 staff behind the counter on arrival, yet tables and seating all had food crumbs, sticky mess, etc. Went down to one staff, back up to 2…. Once everyone was served, they both stood behind the counter chatting and checking phones. Tables all still filthy, not being cleaned. Covid’s obviously over then, back to the grubby, lazy ‘norm’! No iced drinks at all either. Terrible. 🙄

Always pop in here on the way back from Devon/Cornwall😎. Never had any issues with staff, always super polite and very helpful😁, coffee & the cakes always spot on👊, it's a place to relax n unwind with a great view out over the hills🌄 or even sit outside☀️. You defo need this pit stop b4 you hit the M5/M6 jct🤦😭🚙🚗🚛🛻🚙🚚🚛🚗

Really good motorway service station.

No cheese toasties, as the fridge packed up with hot weather. Had burger instead in burger king.

Very friendly and positive staff. I came to have break,shower and obviously coffee.Place was clean and very well looked after. Nice and polite staff who know how to treat customers. I wish everyone would have the same attitude. Good place to stop for a quick break. I will be gladly coming back when in the area. I can recommend it to fellow drivers. Thank you very much.

The staff at this service station are what makes the difference. I guess they get a lot of grief from some customers, but I have nothing but praise for them and their smiles. Long may this continue! Thank you so much. Coffee and cakes are lovely as well

Good place to stop for a coffee

Asked for a cortado. They made it in a MASSIVE cup, as big as a small latte. When challenged, they said: this is how we do it. Nope...

Absolutely lovely service! I picked up a Magic Bag from them and it was full of a great variety of wonderful food! Sadly, the app I used to get my Magic Bag mixed up the business I was reviewing and the Costa got one star short of the 5 stars I wanted to give them, so I came here to state just how amazing the food was, how great and quick the service was, and how lovely the gentleman who was working 23 November in the evening was! You were awesome!^-^ Thank you!!! Cannot recommend this Costa enough!

Efficient service even though very busy. Seating area a little tired

As l am unable to speak to anyone I’m putting a review on here! Went in Tuesday 8am, it’s pretty quiet. Ordered a large tea. I was given a medium, pointed out the mistake, changed to a large tea, assistant assumed l was having semi skimmed milk, l had to stop her and ask for skimmed, she put the tiniest amount in and stopped to put the lid on, l had to ask her for more, she put the lid on and gave it to me. Not once did she speak, apologise or even look up never mind make any eye contact! I get that people have bad days, l do, but that was unacceptable. Why didn’t l say anything - l didn’t want to embarrass her in front of the customers who were now queuing behind. Costa - sort your staff out - you just lost another customer.

Our visit was around 7am and the services was quiet, there were more staff than customers so service was excellent

Food expensive but very tasty, great coffee ☕.

Staff friendly but the table was very sticky, it makes you wonder what else is not cleaned.

The lady who served me initially was very loud and bossy giving her orders out left right and centre. She seemed to want to contradict everything I said and was a bit patronising every time I asked a question. She told me I had to sign in to the scan and trace thing. I told her I don't have the app on my phone and she said it didn't matter, I could take a picture. I said something like "I've not been in Costas for ages" and she was all it's not just Costas blah blah blah, its always been like this. Then in all the fuss I spilt my milk. But thanks to the nice young girl who came to my rescue and wiped up the milk. Honestly I wish I hadn't come in. I then attempted to take a picture of the scan and trace thing and none of the staff seemed to know how to do it themselves! It was all a faff really. I won't be back. Thanks again to the girl who was really helpful. I was probably the worst customers she's ever had!

Costa usually serves really good hotchocolate, but it was quite bland and the amount served was not good either. Not the best Costa branch

Quite possibly the worsy costa I have had. Got a Cap & it had far too much foam & coffee was really bitter. I could e drink it even after putting in sugar

Fire door wedged open, tables very sticky, not allowed to use Costa gift card.

We (5 people) passed by costa at night (1h15min). It was quit empty and we were the only ones their. We liked to take lunch deals. However the surver was really rude. I would easilly say she was the rudest O ever saw. Hopefully she is not having a particular bad day bur even if she made us feel like begger and not buyers. The food was ok for me (tuna melt and white hot chocolate). The price was reasonable. For this i put two stars.

Lovely staff, my flat white wasnt as strong as usual, requested an extra shorted. Problem sorted. Staff are very kind.

Quite busy when i visited and not one member of staff offered to help carry my tray as I was on my own with my baby in my arms. Luckily a very kind lady who was behind me in the queue offered to help!

A handy stop off on M5 south. Higher priced than in town stores

Friendly and welcoming Costa Coffee located within the services with plenty of seating, good coffee and a nice selection of snacks and/or sandwiches. Staff are friendly and helpful and good place to sit down and relax a bit whilst travelling or just trying to kill some time.

Only fair on this visit. Had to prompt the barista for chocolate on the cappuccino and milk for the tea. Would return.

It might have been 1 a.m. in the morning but the lady who served me was polite the place was clean and the coffee was excellent.

Costa at Frankley Services are a lovely team. We always stop here on our way to Shropshire. I actually look forward to coming here, as a reward for driving 180 miles :) Coffee is always good, with cosy, comfy surroundings. Kelly was very helpful and professional. Thank you :)

Long queue and staff can't seem to follow a simple order.

Lovely views over valley. No chocolate flakes for hot chocolate. Not crowded. Pity you can only park for 2 hours at Frankley.

The coffee was as good as any Costa, but we had to wait unattended while the staff were chatting behind the counter.

Price is ridiculous and the que for service was half an hour long .

Great views. Wall of glass to enjoy the countryside and watch the eagles hovering!!! Team were great and washed out my flask before putting my new drink in. Friendly, polite and a more personal service. My walking mates were impressed with the seating area and the sofas in particular.

We were drinking in, they didn't bother to give us actual mugs, instead gave us the planet destroyers and the poor 'barista' seemed somewhat flummoxed when I asked for a cup of tea.

Don’t go in the morning (I stopped at 5am). Woman is really miserable and threw my tea together like Del Boy! Oh and... £2.65 for an earl grey?!

This is a great motorway service stop (M5 north bound) if you like quiet non busy motorway stops. It's one of a kind that I've come across as you get off a busy section of the motorway and then enter the services only to be greeted at a beautiful countryside view from the Costa. I'll post a pic if I can. Perfect to relax tired eyes! Staff were polite, loved the lemon muffin and latte was perfect. Clean toilets too. They have an M and S, Costa (obviously) & burger king. Would recommend this service stop.

One star only because there is no option for zero stars. Two miserable female staff on desk.....they would have trouble getting a date on Cell block H. Weak poor service....avoid these depresives & sit in the jams instead.

Very poor service even not busy when we walked in. Two girls - baristas serving with no smile. When they made someone else drink first, no apology for that, only for wait. And the price! Really??
