Costa Coffee in Manchester

We go here every morning for there amazing coffee and nap deals! Love this place! Shout to all the staff especially Hannah and the dude from South Africa (sorry I’m terrible remembering names! God bless 🙏🏼

Liam is a legend. Cortados were excellent. Much needed and very much appreciated. Best drive through near Manchester airport. Ask for Liam for best service 🤗

Generally good and drinks are of a good quality. Cafe is clean and tidy (mostly) but opening hours are not always as advertised., which can be disappointing.

Top service loved the cheese and onion toastie with a latte. Highly recommend

Highly recommended. As a taxi driver this place is fast becoming like a second home ha ha. They even recognise repeat customers and remember your order.

Popped in for coffee, a lovely young lady was trying another member of staff, and how nice she was. It was also good to be informed that I could now bring my dog in for coffee rather than sit out side in the cold. Coffee was nice and hot, and they had my fave maple syrup flavour which was great. Service was quick despite the gentleman who was being trained. All in all had a good experience here. Thank you.

I have seen a clear deterioration of service with staff talking to each other including the use of swearing. I was waiting at the till for 10 minutes waiting to be served a below standard cappuccino. When I sat down half of the seating area was dirty. Staff need to change their attitude.

Third time in a month received wrong coffee

From queueing to getting drinks took half an hour! When I arrived, there were four members of staff serving behind the counter and they were serving the queue of people waiting for food and drinks to eat in and take away, as well as the drive-through. There were five people ahead of me in the queue and that took about five minutes or so to clear. I ordered three iced drinks and I it took nearly 25 minutes for them to be ready. The first drink arrived after about 10 minutes and was sat on the counter for about quarter of an hour before the next two arrived and it actually melted in the meantime. I had to ask the Server to put it into another cup and re-top it up. It felt like chaos behind the counter. I felt sorry for the staff as there didn’t seem to be enough of them on for the volume of customers but two of the staff just seemed to go off in a strop, leaving two people to deal with the by now long queue and also the drive through . One of team left mid order. The drinks were fine, and the girl who did most of the work serving me was very sweet but clearly quite frazzled and she did well to keep her composure and keep serving people. I was 15 minutes late picking up at the airport as a result. Had it not been for the slow service all would’ve been good. It’s a nice Costa, the actual drinks were great when they finally arrived and there was a decent amount of parking, though it seems like lots of spaces are taken up with the taxi drivers causing chaos outside of the airport because it’s so expensive to pick up and drop off. There’s a machine at the counter to register your vehicle if you park and you get 90 minutes parking

Service was awful x when we did get served the cop was only just warm x complained x cup half full x wedged in on car park due to cars waiting for the drive through worst we have ever been to DNJ

Dirty! We were there at 8:45 on a Sunday morning. It was very quiet (unsurprisingly) but the place was a mess. Outside bins were overflowing and litter strewn. Inside, tables and chairs were unclean (crumbs and detritis) used trays, the floor wasn't clean. The toilet was unclean, with no loo roll (although I found a pack in a highchair outside) and the hand dryer didn't work. Overall, could do with some management.

Great place to stop off for a Costa Coffee, but the breakfasts deals were good too.

Ordered food and drinks to collect at 8am...got there at five past 8 and it was not ready....had to queue as normal (what's the point of ordering ahead) and then hold up the queue as it was a big order. Got given the drink belonging to the customer behind me, eventually left at 8.19am.....pretty poor really.

Had a lunchtime snack and coffee here. Ok

Shocking customer service from Saoirse Walsh. And this is not the first time. Passive aggressive. Off attitude. Asked to speak with the manager, somehow manager never there. If you speak with foreign accent she’ll pretend she can’t understand. Some of the 5* reviews are from staff at this branch and not from genuine customers

The inside was okay. The outside was like a warzone - cups, lids, litter everywhere on the ground outside the main entrance - litter strewn everywhere. How can that be a costa in England? shameful and repulsive.

Just been via drive through around 2.30-3 today. Had quite a large order consisting of a few frappes and lattes as well as food, which I know can sometimes be hectic to do in coffee shops. However, the order was handled excellently. The man with the dark hair on the till was very patient and perfected everything on the order to make sure we had everything and as I paid with gift card, he was able to notify me around this when paying. The drinks were amazing today as other costas I’ve been to can be hectic with the drinks being hit and miss. However today was a peaceful , great customer experience despite being a little busy at this time and having a large order. Would definitely recommend.

Nice Costa convenient for airport staff very acomadateing same about all the litter everywhere one of the worst litter problems iv seen in a close proximity to the airport were I gave 4 hours of my time, & collected 12 bags of Liter otherwise Nice coffee

I ordered the cappuccino this morning, which costs four pounds, but it has given me the coffee very well, but it doesn't have coffee on top of it. It takes a little bit and I sent him the video that you can see the photo too

Often come here before going plane spotting, just in the right area for the south side EGCC spotting site, coffee always nice with friendly staff and a great location

They just ask People to leave at 17:00. But they should be open to 19:00

Have eaten here before service was good however for the second time the hazel nut and maple hot chocolate not available...no maple syrup.

Awsome place to get coffee and something to eat while waiting for a flight 2 land and staff are amazing only down side is 2hrs parking. *make sure you put your registration in at costa coffee *

Drove to this Costa to use the drive thru. Got there to find that the drive thru was closed. Nothing on the website or app to state this.

Normalerweise lehne ich Ketten ab. Speisen und Getränke sind ok. Toiletten waren zum Teil gesperrt, großer Parkplatz, gutes WLAN bzw Wi-Fi. Service ok.

Guy behind the counter dropped oven pan on the floor and the grease paper picked it up and put it back on top of the oven with the paper never cleaned it. Unlucky if you've ordered hot food. The floor was not clean with cartons of milk all over the floor waiting to be put in the fridge. Milk obviously dirty from the floor then the fridge will be dirty. Staff not caring will not come here again. Much prefer any Starbucks to this.

Saturday at 8am, place was nice and quiet. Like all these places, after 5 minutes you start to feel the air conditioning directed at your back. Otherwise a pleasant experience. The young lady who served me cheered me up and started my visit with a smile and made one of the best Costa coffees I have had. I will be back again as it was a good experience

This has been a go to for me for the last 3 years. Staff are excellent - drinks usually pretty consistent. Only 4 stars - as there was a period of time very recently where during regular working hours - the branch would be shut without prior warning. This was happening too regularly to be classed as a one off.

I work nearby and frequently visit this store, but today will be the last time I visit. Staff were v. rude and incredibly slow. The Service is laughable. It took 25 minutes to serve 3 cars in front of me, which I wouldn’t mind if the staff had good customer service skills ! Also, the staff dont open the store for sit-in when their manager is away

This used to be my local costa. Until it all went downhill. They are still not letting customers in the store and lying saying it’s staff sickness. I was told by an ex employee that they lie and say that because they can’t be bothered opening the store up for customers to dine in shocking !!!!

Worst Costa in the UK always closed for staff sickness and attitude of staff is couldn’t give a monkeys I somehow doubt the level and frequency of sickness is true otherwise would have a black cross on the door.The level of service in UK getting worse by the day !!!

I'm only rating 4 stars as I arrived at 6am (as this was the advertised opening time) but they only opened at 7am.

i absolutely love this costa coffee and i am a regular visitor for the past 2 years multiple times a week. I have never experienced bad service up until the past 2 weeks. A new girl was serving me i believe called Ayst, im not one to care usually when someone has a bad tone or maybe shows poor customer service once or twice but repeatedly i have had an unwelcoming tone, lack of courtesy and rude encounters with this girl. It is really upsetting to see that one employee can let the side down on what is usually an incredibly pleasant place to go for take out coffee

It was lovely to see this place open as per it opening time. Now only opens till 5pm so check before you go. Also limited parking time over an hour Clean tidy, staff very helpful. Drinks as ordered.

Very bad customer service. The walk in service was suspended due to staff illness but how did the store advertised it? By small scrap paper on the door with even smaller writing. Such a horrible experience.

Very friendly staff. Efficient and professional. They had to close the shop for a while as the drive through was so busy and they get overwhelmed with workers from the local industrial est at peak time so its a tricky one.

I attended Costa with my daughter at 3pm, there was plenty of parking and lots of seating space inside and out. The staff were very friendly and I was served quickly. The coffee was amazing and there was a good selection of cakes and sandwiches on offer. On the odd occasion, this store will only serve drive through customers. This is usually due to staff shortages, however if this is the case there will be a note on the door explaining this.

It was close to Manchester airport and we spent one-hour hanged out with our friend there, it was so lovely

I love Costa coffee, and the hot chocolates are good too. Clean, comfortable Costa set out in its usual corporate design and colours close to Manchester airport and next to a BP Pulse electric car charging station. Great selection of drinks and food. Great service with a smile. Comfortable seating. This Costa is only 2.5 miles from airport pick up or drop off, so it's handy for waiting to pick up passengers, family, and friends on flight arrivals. Recommended stop

The ladies at costa were so lovely and accommodating! So cherry in the morning and were so lovely with my 1 year old. They even washed his feeding bottle when asked. They went above and beyond! We ordered some toast ones, porridge, a hot chocolate, coffee & muffin. Everything was delicious. It was clean and cosy inside. Nice and warm too. Toilets were clean. Best costa experience I’ve had!

Absolutely brilliant staff, had to stop there with my partner in an emergency and the stafr were so hospitable , even called an ambulance for me. Best costa experience I've ever had thank you Sarah and Haley!!

Drive through only - the cafe part is always closed. Allegedly some sort of staffing issue according to the handwritten notes on the door, but has been ongoing since lockdown.

Been here about 10 times. 5 of these times during opening hours it’s either been fully closed or just the drive thru open. Not great. Can’t blame Covid anymore for the staff issues - 4pm on a busy Saturday - closed!

I have now visited this establishment on four seperate occasions to find it closed due to lack of staff. These occasions have been spread over months and not days. Extremely frustrating.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve turned up to get a coffee only to discover it’s closed inside. As an airport worker this location is ideal, especially if I need to kill some time before or after a duty, but it’s ruined by being closed most of the time. Drive-thru is open a bit more but not useful if you aren’t in a car.

2nd day of it being closed inside due to no staff- so only drive through. Coffee was weak tasting - bizarrely and no croissants in stock. So 2nd day I ordered the specialty guest and that was so good, today croissants in stock but no staff so inside closed on a Sunday ! So customers cannot even go to the loo ! Why not have dine in with take out cups when you are short staffed, use bags nor plates - it’s not rocket science

Never open, turned up today at 15.45 and shut apart from the drive through.

On this visit… Early afternoon and the Restaurant was closed for unknown reason with only hatch service available.went out of way to go.. wish would have known earlier.. went to another one 4 miles away. Just a bad day I suppose.

Very friendly staff, but the coffee is rubbish. I get a coffee from there almost everyday and every time it tests different than the day before. Howevery, today it just test just like boild water mixed with milk.

Fed up of turning up mid week around 7.30ish and this Costa is always closed. Staff frantically cleaning to finish early. We watched them walk out before 8pm.. Not good when the sign says 9pm. Rubbish...

Fast drive thru service, just like any other Costa coffee.

Well when they bother opening they're generally good, but 4 times lately I've gone for coffee around 7pm and they're shut! If you advertise you're open until 9 then be open until 9! Just to add many months later this place is still changing the opening hours day by day, no communication on their app or website so you go and hope that they'll be open! What I will say is that the staff are great, they do work very hard but there's a problem with this store - if they can't recruit and keep staff then something or someone is to blame. You should get to the bottom of the problem and provide a positive customer experience, it's incredibly annoying to turn up and find it closed when it should be open!

Today around 7pm I was served by a lady. The customer experience was fantastic. I've had one of the bestest hot chocolate off the guy that made my two Hot Chocolates. Better then the other Costas I have been. Definitely would come back more regularly so I can be served by them again 🤩

This is usually a convenient stop for me but after a few bad experiences I now feel compelled to give this review. My last 2 orders for caramel latte have not been fantastic, hard to get wrong really. More importantly, I am so tired of driving all the way to the airport to find out that the shop is not serving. Please can you update your opening times.

Quick service very close to airport with 3 hours free parking. Useful if your waiting for someone landing and don't want to rack up big parking bills. Sit back amd have a coffee instead
