Not up to usual standards for both food and service

Late to open on a Sunday with a queue forming outside

The barista/gentleman at this Costa makes the best flat whites. I wish more of the Costa locations would deliver this level of excellence.

Good coffe but the atmosphere and service are below average...

I ordered 2 turkey feast sandwiches - not toasted. I got 2 toasted sandwiches, which I didn't want.

Very friendly staff. They take care of you the minute you enter!

Had some time to kill so popped in for a pot of English Breakfast Tea, good value for London didnt have anything to eat, friendly efficient service.

I used to take a Costa, nice coffee, but every time I come over to this place and some issues with the staff. No good foam in the coffee or just no blended ice. That is the different to be kind and good employee or just a basic employee

Delish coffee and very good vibes. Plenty of seating and all the ladies working were lovely :) such a busy road but you can really relax and enjoy a coffee and a cake. Thanks for the nice atmosphere !

Not recommended!! There was an Indian guy on the till. My girlfriend needed a toilet but the guy said only for customers !! How rubbish is this ? I hope a manager or a supervisor can look at my review and investigate this as this.

The waitress Roxana was more than sweet and even remembered our order on the second day. Coffee was wonderful and it made my day.

Didn't get what I ordered. No one answers the phone to get your order redelivered.

Update: new staff, she is very friendly and it's a nice place to meet up with friends. There is a morning female staff, very rude and just gives me a hating look every time I go in the coffee shop in the morning, I guess she hates her job and passed her hate to customers? maybe better staff training is needed!

Bit of a down at heal Costa on Borough High Street, but service and coffee are good.

Awful customer service. They misheard me and gave my children the wrong toasties, then refused to change, even though they were at fault.

Coffee was great as always. However, only disposable cups being used...slight turn off. Nonetheless, an absolutely powerful heater for the outdoor seating, 🙌

It was late and all my order was destroyed the delivery guy started to cycle off ignoring me when I told him that my order was ruined

My order was late but Costa more than made up for it. Their customer service was excellent with staff member/s who obviously know that that giving good service is important but when it doesn’t happen you can make up for it by giving two complimentary muffins! What was even nicer was the message they wrote wishing me a good evening and to enjoy the muffins. I was having a bad day and that message really did put a smile on my face. What a lovely and thoughtful thing to do! Thank you to the staff for a great and above board service!!!

It was over an hour late and when drinks arrived they were both too cold to drink. Very upset with this order!

I had to wait an hour from order to delivery, as a driver couldn't be found and then it was a man on a pedal cycle. The premises isn't round the corner so a moped would have been more suitable

The manager of the store is completely disrespectful, don't have emotional intelligence . She should be fired - period. I know what I am talking about. Surprising that such nice chain like Costa manages to put such unprofessional people or even hire them at all. Thank you

One of the original Costa Coffee shops and one of the best. Very cosy and friendly staff. Suitable for book reads and meetings.

It's a bit run down. The staff are friendly but they seemed rushed off their feet.

Usually costa is a safe bet. But avoid this branch at all costs - the baristas are unaware of how to make a simple cappuccino and are not sympathetic when questions are asked. They also seemed more interested with chatting with women in the queue than serving those in front of them.

The staff here are always friendly, attentive and quick but ensure the order is correct and heated appropriately. I also like the atmosphere here and that there is substantial outside seating.

I've been coming here for my morning coffee for the last 8 months. Not only do all the team here know my daily order, they are all so friendly and the service is always slick. Thank you, you start my day off well every morning, I can only hope the coffee shop near my new office is as fantastic!

Basically I use the place as my second office. The staff are all great and it's the usual quality Costa stuff. If it had more than one socket for devices it would be 5 stars

If you want to have a good start of the day, just get here and ask for Petronela. She knows how to make your day happier; funny lady! She have a good knowledge of the city and her personality is definitely what you want to see in the morning. Good grooming, and big sense of humour, all together makes your coffee very tasty. Brilliant staff, even if it is busy then know how to stand up and please every guest; makes a 5 star choice!

Nice and fast, good and tasty coffee! Helpful staff here and a good place to be. There is Petronela one of the staff member who is very nice and friendly. She looked after us. Thank you for everything, we will back soon!

Worst coffee ever! I was soo dissapointed. Ordered a flat white and all i could taste was like 90% milk and barley even 10% coffee ! Waste of £3

This is my regular coffee chain store. I have a loyalty card. It's a misnomer. I'm very happy to hawk around for business. There's no brand loyalty from me in the coffee business. It's right next door to my office and that's why I invariably end up there. The staff are great and produce the goods under pressure. There are key times when they get super busy. But they get their heads down and come up trumps. They're friendly and seem to recognise me even if they can't get their heads round why I keep changing what I order. It would be fair to say that there are nicer venues to drink in or meet up with friends. But it's warm, light and clean. You have to run the gauntlet through the smoking community sat in the street outside. But rather than be irritated by the persistence of nicotine tubes and the emergence of e-cigarettes, I feel sorry for them as they sit adjacent to Borough High Street breathing in contaminated air. Ironic, isn't it?! But I'm sure, what with the new ULEZ coming in, that'll all change and we'll enjoy the same air quality as the Yorkshire Dales. But back to Costa. Treat yourself to an iced Bakewell tart. It's a massive sugar pick me up for the middle of the afternoon. Don't go for the large black americano, it's served in a cup that looks more like a potty. But despite these minor irritations, I'll be back spending hard earned money on a drink my mother used to make from granules.

Excellent customer service. Toilet code is available on your receipt. Charging plug sockets 2 each for 2 tables only. Yummy coffee &walnut cake. The slice could be bigger.

I don't usually like costa outlets however this one has really changed my opinion. Customer service today was great, was greeted with a smile and polite baristas who knew their pleases and thank you's. Despite everything customer service goes a long way and this shows here. The place is very clean and tidy including the toilet. Most coffee shop toilets leave you feeling like you need a shower after using them so to walk into a fresh and clean toilet certainly made a big difference. Overall a great costa branch.

Sort your staff out!!! So I have just been into this Costa and asked for two of the frostino drinks, but asked for less ice to be put into the drink than normal. After being told by the first member of staff that it is a blended drink I had to explain to him exactly what I was looking for, only then to be shouted at by the barista that it could not be done. He also went on to mention that there was no point to this as it would just be milk. This type of behaviour from staff, I feel, is completely unacceptable as I am going to be the one drinking the drink and if I want it how I like it who are these people telling me that I am wrong??? What makes it worse is that on two previous occasions I have visited this Costa and asked for this type of drink with absolutely no issues what so ever!! Maybe there needs to be some sort of customer service course that all the staff can go on to ensure consistency, as if this is the way customers are treated there is a Pret over the road and a Starbucks not too far away that I am sure would be more than happy to take my money; and give me a smile and what I asked for while they are doing it.

Normal Costa. It bothers me that you can't get to it without walking through an area people sit to smoke. I get that outside space is a premium but not great for people with respiratory problems

Gets a bit too overcrowded. I regularly cannot get a seat so have to go elsewhere. Otherwise, it's a Costa.

Well i have to say this is one of the best Costa stores in London, I pass many costa stores on route to this one in Borough, Lilianna and her team are a great bunch of people and their service standards are top class. Great coffee and outside area so well worth a visit. Plenty of regulars which is always a good sign in London. Thanks so much to all the team.

Mindless male employ CONSTANTLY crashing and banging steel boxes(?) and crockery around. VERY irritating, because it seems totally unnecessary and goes ON AND ON!! Forget about costa! Heartless and mindless

Friendly staff, nearest Costa to London Bridge.. Don't get confused, there isn't one in the station yet (July 2017)..

Very small, not enough seating. The coffee was good but they had a lot of kids playing and students on laptops, just using it as a place to stay, whilst the people actually drinking coffee had to either stand or share a table with strangers. The staff could have dealt with this better.

Terrible service. Fairly empty when I walked in -- I was one of the only customers sitting, and at times they had no customers in line at all, so they were not simply too busy to attend to me. Needed to work here and sat down with my drink and porridge, told the baristas about the faulty wifi -- the female barista simply said that "it was working". The male barista came over and told me to make a Costa account - I did using my phone but that didn't do anything, was just a waste of my time. Restarted my computer, nothing helped, called the male barista over and said I really needed to work. He said he would restart the modem but - surprise - didn't do anything. Finally left after an hour of fiddling around with my computer having gotten no work done at all, with clearly no regard from the useless, catatonic baristas. Went over to Starbucks where wifi and service are always reliable.

Amazing customer service and the staff is very kind especially the manager.
