Got a peppermint tea, after paying, the staff then said it was take away only no sitting down, so had to go home. Next time might as well make myself a cup of tea at home.

Very disappointed that Costa do not allow dogs in anymore. Definitely a backward step in my opinion. We ate elsewhere where we were welcomed! Will not be returning anytime soon.

Went today and they were only doing takeaway and no hot food. Got a coffee to take out and didn't try it until I got home and it tasted like it was made from salt water, it was disgusting and so had to throw it away. Won't be going back

Absolutely disgusting place. Dirty floors, dirty tables 3 staff talking behind the till and ignored the filthy tables which were full of dirty cups and plates. Ordered our drinks and had to clean our own table, they didn’t even notice I took the cloth from behind the counter to wipe my own table..! Sat down and 10 minutes passed so I went to ask where our drinks were and to my amazement they had been sat on the counter going cold. The 3 staff were perched against a table (wait for it) laughing at us. This was a business meeting and I was totally disgusted. I will never visit again. Looking at the reviews here I’m not alone. Costa..! You need to sort this place out 😡

Normally not the biggest fan of costa drinks anyway as the coffee drinks always seem to have a slightly off aftertaste, but came with a friend anyway to get out of the house and enjoy the sun. Ordered an iced caramel latte. The barista was mumbly and curt but honestly not the biggest issue. It came to the counter for me to pick up. “Oops I forgot the caramel”. The barista processed to open the lid right there on the pick up counter, pump about 5 pumps of caramel into a small iced late, spill a good 1/3 of the drink over the sides of the cup with how aggressively he was pumping, got iced coffee all over the counter and side of the cup. THEN wiped down the side of the cup /with his bare hands/ before passing it to me followed by a wad of tissues. The drink itself was then burnt, way too caramelly and generally disgusting. I did not drink it.

This Costa is the most understaffed place I have ever known, the staff that are there work their socks off to the bone, however tables are not cleaned, floor seems filthy, quite a few times their card machine does not work/so understaffed that you have to sit outside. It seems the most neglected coffee place ever. We have been going for years now, but will boycott it and use some other places in Chapel Allerton who know how to run a cafe and keep it clean. I have written a couple of times before but the Costa Management group never reply. It is a very busy Costa, but it seems that there is noone in charge. We have frequently gone in and had to clear a space from other customers empty dishes and cups to have a coffee!

Abaolutely disaster! Since the change of staff there is no way you go there anymore... I was there today... I cannot believe how rude the staff is! They don't coordinate they never know what you ordered... Etc behind the counter absolutely nightmare, unbelievably filthy! They gave me a tray full of water, honestly I thought they spilled smth on it by mistake, when I asked why they gave me a trawy with so much water on it, they said oh its OK because we just got them out of dishwasher, they never bothered to dry it out. I ordered my drinks and two sandwiches .. And asked them for takeaway cups (none of the Costa coffee branches respect this). The guy behind the counter had the receipted in front of him with what my order,.. And he still asked me do you want any drinks?!!!!! 🙄 I meant What?!!! I bought two wrapped sandwiches... They were asking me what to do with them even tho I asked them to warm them up. Staff were extremely slow... Cups and trays everywhere on the shop floor ... Food everywhere on the floor and rubbish everywhere (I'm not going to mention it again the behind the counter😭).staff stays behind the counter talking while the que of 10 people waiting to be served,.. Only one of them makes coffee with the spread of a sloth! I asked one of the staff to clean the table as I had to take the tray by myself of the previous customer... One of the staf, a young man asked me what table is it even tho I did explain to him exactly where it was... He went there to clean it and said to my mum ironically 'you are welcome'.. He didn't even let my mum say thank you, she was shocked!.. I mean Costa why do you employ people like this? Is it because you want to pay minimum wages?.. You will lose all your costumers like this. Please do smth about it, ASAP!!

Totally understaffed, filthy tables, crockery piled high, and having to serve out of paper cups as they did not have enough staff to sort out washing etc. During these Covid times you would they were on the ball with their cleanliness! The staff there are lovely, but I feel so sorry for their working conditions and lack of help. I have actually complained to Costa last year through email but no-one had the decency to get back to me.

I am here now, writing this review, 29/1/2020. The two guys serving are very unfriendly especially the one with the moustache (who has not smiled at all - not whilst serving nor any other time today). The servers appear to be making an enormous din with regards to banging the coffee machine and scraping the chairs across the floor. I was sitting by the door and they opened it to do things outside but left it open and did not close it being fully aware that there was a customer sitting by the door. They cleared up most of the restaurant and losed most of the areas down by 5.30pm even thought the actually coffee shop shuts at 8pm! I shall not be returning here. I normally love Costa Coffee but this is by far the worst atmosphere/customer service I have ever encountered. I feel the staff need more staff training as to how to be polite and friendly towards their paying customers.

This pub has not long ago been taken over from the landlord and lady from the swan in trading.We were meeting family and friends from Newcastle and were very impressed to say the least.Seven adults and one child descended tea time Friday and it was quite busy but we were served promptly.I loved the relaxed atmosphere and spacious surroundings very clean and tables cleared quickly.Our meals were presented nicely and tasted very nice and reasonably priced. Looking forward to our next visit.

I had an absolute brilliant service! I was served by Zarin and Joana and I had the best experience every! They were really friendly and made sure I was comfortable for my flight as I lt was the first tike flying on my own. I dont usually write reviews but I feel like this was needed. Thank you so much guy you were amazing keep it up! I hope I'll see you again.

Very poor service. All staff look like they don’t want to be there. Lots of staff doing very little, with only one serving customers at the bar, with a customer queue, and no appreciation for customer wait time. No eye contact given, no smiles. Taking advantage of a captive audience with extremely high prices and lots of staff having an easy life. Staff talking amongst themselves whilst customers are waiting to be served. Employ someone that cares and can run an efficient and effective service.

Restaurant looks nice but was freezing cold. French toast breakfast on a cold plate was tasteless and thrown together draped with 2 pieces of bacon that were burnt, greasy and limp. I had one and a half tiny sausages in a stale bun not even buttered. £17 wasted. Find somewhere else that takes greater pride in what it serves and better respects its customers.
