Costa Coffee in Wiltshire

No customers at the counter, 3 staff members standing around chatting while we sit and drink with the previous occupant's croissant crumbs under our feet.

Been here many time and most of the staff are always miserable especially the manager. I asked for whole milk in my drink and the girl making the drinks looked annoyed as she’d already started warming the semi skimmed. Manager also seemed put out when I asked her to bring my drink over as I had my young baby with me (there was nobody waiting to be served and it was relatively quiet) Also a lot of the time if you want to sit at a table you have to clear it yourself. Only gave 2 stars as it’s a convenient location

Definitely going to be a favourite post parkrun coffee stop. Perfect flat white today, fresh pastries & super friendly and efficient staff even when busy. I will be back.

Very clean for a costa and the team while short working well to deal with the public.

~~ An autistic nightmare ~~ Came here while waiting for my car to be repaired. Very disappointing and wouldn't come back. Positives: - Close to the garage - Plenty of parking Negatives - Big queues - Only two members of staff who were obviously overwhelmed - Because of the queue almost extending out of the building, it was freezing cold and draughty because the automatic double doors were almost continually open. I get that this is an accessibility issue but it's really not a good design. McDonalds actually solve this issue pretty well by staggering the doors, reducing the draft. If everyone in the building is wearing a coat, you might think there's a problem...? - Overpriced and burned coffee. If it wasn't so busy I would have asked for a replacement drink but I didn't want to be difficult when they were having such a hard time - Extremely slow Wifi at 3Mbps so it wasn't possible for me to work, hence the review - I hate the big menu screens. Screens everywhere!! I'm sure they drive ENGAGEMENT beautifully but I find them really annoying, desperately commercial, and they totally ruin any kind of civilised ambience. Makes it feel like McDonalds, and not somewhere I'd personally want to spend an extended period of time. - Very loud alarms going off every 15 minutes for no discernible reason. Makes me think that the automatic doors are not for accessibility at all and are actually just to encourage people to come in, as your accessibility for autistic people is non existent.

Great Costa. We use it regularly. The dark haired guy with glasses always makes a lovely coffee we always hope he's there,

(Order) Medium choc fudge brownie + extra shot. --- Atleast 7 tables covered with dirty trays. Rubbish collected and left near end of counter. --- No call when ready, Item wasn't blended... ice lumps found. Upon stirring drink, it was 'thick' around the middle section. No enquiry if I had a costa account. No receipt to add purchase when I next pop in. ---- Avoid this outlet unless your desperate or have no choice.

Crumbs & litter on floor, toilets very messy, staff had already been told whilst ordering our drinks but nothing done 20 minutes later.

Woefully understaffed. Two behind the counter a breaking a sweat to keep up. Do the right thing and hire someone to support these people Costa.

When costa in salisbury is up and running its okay. But we the customers never know if or when their will be a note on the fridge not working, or a note on the door cash only. Or a note on the drinks machines can not make any cold drinks for weeks. Are all these appliances really out of order, or is it the staff not wanting to work. It absolutely appalling .what a out the financial side costa must have lost during summer hoildays

Cleanliness of tables and floor poor. They need to just not brush all rubbish off tables straight onto floor 😔

Definitely had a bit of an upturn in recent months. This Costa used to always be one of those with empty trays all over the tables while disorganised staff just kept serving more and more people that found themselves eating at dirty tables but I think a new Manager has given the place a bit of a lift.

the cafe was probably the worst, tables chairs and floor were dirty. Toilets no better. Staff more interested in talking to their friends even allowed a very small child to sit on the serving counter. Food items were unwrapped and handle without usin tounges or gloves.will never visit again. Be warned not the best at all! The motorway service Costa are a gem compared to this one

Lovely and clean, friendly and welcoming staff....especially Julia, who went above and beyond in helping me decide on which drink I wanted. She was very helpful and took time to make a small sample for me to taste to help me decide! What a star! We need more Julias!

Terrible. Chairs on top of table at 5pm and no where to sit, even though it closes at 6.30pm!!!! Very unwelcoming and it is the same every time I've been here!!!! Shocking !!

I regularly turn up at 5pm, it closes at 6:30pm and I feel very unwelcome as all the chairs are on the tables! Why does this happen?

Really nice staff in this Costa, It is always busy and they work hard to keep it up together. Unfortunately it is constantly full with customers on laptops taking up large tables for very long periods of time.

Quality of drinks has gone down hill very quickly . You don’t get what you ordered you get warm milk . Flavours not mixed in and hot chocolate doesn’t have much chocolate flavour at all . Put the original staff back on making hot drinks .

Pleasant revamp in decor has vastly improved this coffee shop. Good job. Good coffee too.

Quick service, polite staff. Delicious cold drinks and a nice outside area, albeit in a carpark, bit a quiet one. Lovely indoor space, with nice clean toilets.

Disappointing. Our food had been ready for ages but it appeared someone had forgotten to make our frappes. Both should have been made with oat milk and vegan cream. I am pretty sure they weren't as my husband and I were both poorly later. I am dairy intolerant and have IBS and my husband has diabetes and dairy affects his stomach. We won't be going back

Cash only today, but only advertising at the till ... after you've queued. Coffee is good but nothing special, and all food is overpriced.

Arrived to find a "cash only" sign next to the till.... Not a new thing apparently, haven't had WiFi enable till/payment system for six weeks. Cash or download the Costa app to order a "click and collect" and pay online.... I kid you not. Staff very apologetic but also clearly despondent. How can a market trader on the Saturday market take a card payment but Costa can't. No excuse really.

Bacon roll and capuccino, not quite as good value as Greggs offering but still not bad (unlike in town parking is free here). Service friendly and efficient. Will definitely visit again.

Occasionally pop in for a coffee and a croissant. Always a clean environment and the staff are friendly.

First time visiting this store as a fairly new Costa customer (2021) . I noticed the bar staff kept steaming milk for customers ahead of me and just adding milk in whilst still steaming half way through as more orders were being given. I was under the impression this isn’t how drinks were made.. I noticed there were numerous jugs laying around so if someone ordered a different kind of drink they just resteamed instead of making fresh and rinsing jugs every time. I asked when I got closer if I could have fresh milk instead of resteamed to which the female on the bar huffed, threw the jug in the sink behind, this then brought attention to a co worker who then both started whispering . Never experienced something so unprofessional before. I only wanted a latte with fresh milk and steamed to the right temperature, yet was made to feel awful. I didn’t attack, argue or become rude I just asked if it was possible as all the jugs looked stained like they had been set around for a long time. Haven’t returned and not sure I will as from discussing this experience with others they have also experienced similar so must be how they are trained which is a real shame.

This is a lovely clean Costa ( best in Salisbury ) plenty of free parking outside shared with Next. Served quickly with very friendly, young staff. They were happy to make our drinks extra hot. Extremely busy and staff were working really hard to keep on top of it. Will definitely be returning when shopping in Southampton Road. Would recommend the Terrys Hot Chocolate…

Excellent coffee place! We came just as it got busy, and the service was just as great as if it was slow. Gingerbread & Cream Latte is an excellent winter holiday treat, cappuccino was great with plenty of foam, and the steak & cheese toastie was full of flavour. We will be back regularly!

Good service and the quality of coffee you grow to expect from a chain. The coffee is nothing special, similar products other chains but the quality is good. Good WiFi available for working whilst the car was serviced across the road.

Staff were friendly and happy. Food was good. Only downside is it was busy and none of the tables were being cleared. Which wasn't a huge problem but wasn't nice to clear away someone's food before being able to enjoy my own

Not open. Their website and front door says open at 7am, but it doesn't open till 9am.

Made few visits there and they are always out of frappe. I dont know why they bother to have them in the menu. Once the bubble mango frappe had only like 5 bubbles in it. Next time we got it they forgot to put any bubbles in it. So disappointed.

Small but perfectly formed. The service was good and the coffee was great.

The staff are friendly and always polite, it’s clean, Visit here regularly with my wife and we love it. The drinks are always good and never have any complains about them.

Have a fallback plan (McDonalds?), in case they are closed. We planned to stop for a coffee and loo break, as the advertised opening time is 0700. At 0745 the staff were just getting ready for opening at 0800. We drove down the road to McDonalds. @Costa: Could the opening times displayed on the website, and the cafe door, be updated, to avoid losing customers to other establishments. If the planned opening time is 0800, that's fine, just let people know. Thanks, Chris

Brilliant makeover. Staff efficient and very courteous. Food lovely. Coffee great. Above all very clean pleasant surroundings and atmosphere. Absolutely great will call regularly. Couldn't be better.

The staff are unorganized and rude. Our iced drinks were warm and hit drinks cool. Shame!!!

Shouted at across busy store by staff members behind counter To remove my dog despite no signage present. Very very unprofessional will not be returning.
