Costa in Harlow

Lovely, Staff very helpful and welcoming, especially the Manageress..... I will defo be visiting again soon.

Very dirty caffe. The coffe is really poor.

Oct 2024. I still think this branch has one of the best and most friendly teams in any Costa. Always met with a smile. The drink quality is always consistent. It can get a little too warm there but otherwise a good place to sit and have a coffee. Previously: Amazing, friendly service by the team yet again. Drinks were perfect. The team behind the counter all communicating well together. Good energy. Happy Costa ‘addict’!

We went to Costa for a quick break from shopping. No issues with the actual drinks we ordered. There were two ladies behind the counter on the sunday. One of the ladies was serving and making up the drinks and she just kept constantly sneezing. I did not see her wash her hands after at all. When our drinks were paid for, there was no thank you, and when I collected our drinks, the tray with the drinks was just shoved towards me and then the lady walked away without saying anything. The customer service was poor and they both came across as a bit cold to us.

Absolutely love visiting this Costa Coffee in Next shop(upstairs)! The staff here are incredible—always so friendly, helpful, and full of smiles. The ladies who work here truly make each visit a pleasure. The coffee is consistently delicious, making it a perfect spot for my caffeine fix. I always look forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

I had the worse time in Costa in next in Harlow. As it is a treat for me to buy a coffee and just to relax. It was about 4pm, and this horrible young lady that was working was cleaning down everywhere and closing it all off where the seats were. I said are you closing? She said no we got hours yet as it doesn't shut until 6.30pm. I said why can't I sit over there. She said it was wet? She only left a few seats by the door. She literally blocked off everywhere with seats so we couldn't get in. She was so rude and laughing about it to the other lady? Then they stuck a cleaning sign on one of the toilet and started laughing about that too. They were definitely winding people up on purpose. Me and other people was not happy. They still had a good 2 hours left until they could of started cleaning. We were all mad as customers and they were laughing at us. This is not on.

Popped in for quick coffee with mum while out shopping, service was great and coffee was nice and hot, great selection of cakes

We've been to Costa in Next in Harlow a few times now and without exception the staff are always cheerful, helpful and friendly. Today they were all dressed up in their Christmas jumpers, aprons and antlers and offering free samples of a caramel coffee drink around the cafe to customers. They always take care making the drinks and have a smooth running system of serving at the counter to get the orders fulfilled quickly. It's a pleasure to pop in for coffee and a snack and we really appreciate your welcome. Definitely the best place for refreshments in Harlow. Thank you all so much.

This branch needs to send there staff on a customer care course. We went there this week the girl was putting chairs away, banging them on the floor. Today we went there at 3 to be told there was no coffe as they were cleaning the machine. No apology. Wake up and smell the coffe.

Popped in for a drink and something to eat. The drinks board is automatic and takes a while for you to actually read the drinks that you are after. Had a toastie which the lady took and was reading the drinks board which we had waited a while to read. The lady with the blonde hair became stroppy as she had to wait while reading the board. She then turned to the very nice lady in the till and said got a toastie too. She the made our drinks to which she through the drinks on the counter. Face like thunder. I very kindly said thank you the lady on the till apologised. Unfortunately will not return when she is there. She was clearing the tables like she just did not want to be there.

Great views from the seating area. Comfortable chairs and sitting spaces.

I love Costa coffee, but the queue is always long, staff are slow and the tables are always full of used cups and plates and the tables are dirty.

It can get busy at times but the service is good, food and coffee also good, lovely atmosphere to have a catch up with friends and family.

Grabbed quick coffee and left . Staff efficient but cleanliness really below par Surprised as Next is a popular shop with good footfall during the week also so all a bit of a let down.

My experience with this costa is quite unpleasant, I am a regular customer who enjoys some coffee while doing my work, I came in today to the store as usual when I was in the queue to order my coffee I have seen someone struggling to scan their barcode to the costa system, I have tried to help them out and explaining how these scanners work since I am an advanced level three in IT, then the customer adviser cut me off and disrespected me. I felt so offended and I have decided this will be my last time to visit here also I won't let my friends come again here. tables are dirty, customer leftovers, remain on the table until another customer takes them away I know sometimes it can be very hard for them, but we are customers, and we pay to have a good experience not to be told off and disrespected.

I am a huge Costa fan and visit most days. The staff in this particular branch are always friendly and polite and even on their busiest of days greet you with a smile. I can’t rate the food as I’m GF but the coffee is always excellent.

i went to costa thinking today sucks so bad but then morgan served me and my life turned around, cried with happiness she was so lovely and kind, most helpful employee ever.

Service was a bit slow but was OK otherwise

I genuinely thought that Costa Martlesham Heath had the worst service of any Costa. But I was wrong. The service here was so slow I actually missed a whole chunk of my child's life.

Coffee good as what you would expect from Costa busy at time of my visit However staff should definitely change the attitude! Making faces in front of the customers is a big no no. Sarcastic smile can be left for your break young ( Bog*****)

If you like lukewarm coffee even when u ask for hot. Costa by savers is the game changer. I will rather go to a place where I ask for hot and get it. It’s happened twice

It is amazing how visits can differ from one visit to another. This time all went well. The coffee was hot, well flavoured and the floor like the table was clean and tidy.

Just been charged £4.20 for a large tea because I asked for 2 teabags!! No other Costa does this, disgusted. Needless to say, wont be coming back😞😞

It is surprising how visits can vary. The latte was only lukewarm and the chocolate cake this time was crumbly and dry. All very disappointing as I know they can do so much better.

We have been in Costa loads of times and we know what to expect. Although the hot chocolate isn't the cheapest on the market, it is one of the best flavoured and for me very good value. The staff as expected are warm friendly and polite.

This Costa is placed within 'Next', for some reason....the coffee shop itself is a nice place to be. Nice coffee, a bit overpriced and service hasn't met expectations hence losing a star.

As expected the welcome was friendly. The iced red berry was a delight. Not too sweet and full of flavour. The table was clean and tidy and the floor swept. All very good, an easy decision to return.

More seating less stupid sofa's

Of the 10 or so coffee shops in Harlow town centre, this one has the best view and also feels nice and spacious. Of course it is just another chain so the drinks are expensive and of mediocre quality, plus they play pointlessly loud music and there is nearly always screaming children in there, but it's the best of the worst, so to say.

Was a good place to sit and have I good chat with a friend. The hot chocolate wasn't very strong though so tasted a bit like milky water sadly.

Had a nice lunch here, bit of an understanding language problem with the staff but we got there in the end.

Warm and friendly. Great lighting and atmosphere inside. Have visited several times and have been a great place to study/work or take a break from shopping. Would recommend.

What u expect from a coffee shop nice place to rest

This place is horrible run by very rude can’t be bothered staff!!! No cutlery given to eat our food or even a spoon !! Food order wrong staff can’t be bothered to look you in the eye and get it right ! Think il go to the place Opposite.

Tables left unclead making it hard to find a table. To many staff doing nothing.

Loved my Cheese Toastie and Hot Chocolate

Once again their hot chocolate was a delight, full of flavour and the service was polite and quick. The tables were clean and tidy and there was a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The chocolate cake was very moist and like the drink tasted wonderful.

Lovely staff always great coffee

This location is within NEXT and is a great addition to the Costa brand. I've visited this location 3 or 4 times and the first few times I had a great experience. However, the last couple of times it was just okay. What brings me back here is the location and the people watching from a window seat.

Pleasant enough coffee shop, located in NEXT store, with view over the watergardens (well what used to be - now no water). Standard range of Costa food and drink - Red berries fruit cooler was just the job on a hot day. Seating is good, not too much of it, so you have space to move between the tables. Staff were pleasant enough, but not overly energetic.

Lots of comfortable seating and the hot chocolate is very good. We also shared a chocolate brownie that was moist and well flavoured. The service was polite and friendly, and the cost not excessive, all in a good experience.

We love this coffee shop always very nice can't fault it,lovely views and have blinds for when it's too sunny/ hot, staff are lovely, have a lift and escalator real nice place !!! Toilets always lovely and clean and smell fresh, a lovely enjoyable place

Anything was up to standard, nice decor plenty of seating but everything went Pete tong when we had to deal with the person behind the till named Matthew Foster. Leave immediately take the kids and run from this heartless, psychotic, nefarious vile creep even though he makes a mean coffee

Recently opened, popped into here to have a coffee and check it out and very pleased to say it's up to the usual Costa standard - plenty of seating, efficient staff and comfortable location.
