Costa in South Cambridgeshire

I don’t really understand the negative reviews? I come here most mornings and staff have always been fantastic. My coffee is always made promptly and with care. Thank you for always brightening my early morning starts.

Rude main staff, asked for time big of milk in tea, didn't relay tgat gog horrible tea and tge crosssnt was stale. Disgusting service, no apology. Rude as he'll.

Great cortado recommended by Melda when I said I don’t want a big drink. Appreciate a handy place for coffee.

July 31, 12:45. The girl who helped me was quite rude. I told him I wanted a coffee with milk and ice with caramel syrup but they put a lot of milk. He served me whatever he wanted, an Americano and you couldn't even notice the caramel. I asked him twice because my coffee tasted too strong and he confirmed that I ordered an Americano when I told him I wanted it with milk but not with so much milk. She hasn't offered to change it or offer me a solution, she wanted to be right. But the most annoying thing has been their customer service.

I was served by who I believe was the manager at this Costa, she is very, very rude and unhelpful, when I asked for an extra cup as the coffee was extremely hot..she complained and asked if I will pay for it the rest of the staff are pleasant and helpful. A zero point would be for her!

Pastries are always old. I tried twice and both times tasted stale.. avoid

Great coffee, always greeted with a friendly vibe. 10 out of 10 to the staff. Melda is really nice. Highly recommend this place

I go to costa every morning and am always greeted with a smiley face and great coffee. 10/10 customer service.

Basic and average compared to most other Costas, disability friendly seating but outside only. There seems to be some inconsistency with how they make the drinks especially the hot chocolate. Overall handy place before or after a long journey just needs a area manager to pop in and see what they keep receiving negative feedback.

Asked for a hot chocolate and was offered cream. It tasted horrid and had a weird texture so I asked about it and it was some vegan whip not cream! Should have been informed of this at order point, it was disgusting.

This is my first visit to this station and Costa. Apparently, there is a queueing system which is not apparent unless you know about it. The staff member was extremely terse. I decided not to make a purchase.

After a long one hour early morning journey, I really needed a coffee. There are no shops close by the Cambridge north station except for Costa. Friendly staff and amazing service. But it would’ve been nice if there was a nice sitting place inside.

I travel here often due to my work obligations. I always grab a drink from here, brunette beautiful looking girl i think is the manager, she is always so friendly and has a great customer feedback. So nice to see her everytime I visit, makes my day special

I was greeted by Jess she is nice and all the staff - Jess, Obede and Conrad - were so friendly but Melda she is rude every day I go there she never smile or greet the customer. I think Costa give her training for customer service .

I go every Monday morning & usually have a great hot choc however today they gave me the wrong one. When I came back a minute later the brunette lady with a blue sticker on her nose rudely insisted I was a liar and continued to give me attitude saying I was lying. This has completely ruined my experience there & I am will not be going back regularly.

Manager is rude and disrespectful.

Went for a latte and wanted to use my £1 off voucher today ( the one that is available just today! ). I only selected this one when scanning the code from the Costa app. I was asked if I wanted to use my voucher, I said yes but they took one of my free drinks vouchers instead. The other barista noticed the error made by the person at the till and even said "No, not that one!" but then proceeded to tell me there is nothing they can do since it "just went through the system"! So basically I lost the £1 off voucher ( which again, is only available for today ) and used a free drink voucher without wanting to do so. The attitude of the barista was very poor, she basically said I didn't loose anything because it was a free drink. It was a free drink I earned! Very, very dissapointed! Updated to 3/5 stars from 1/5 stars as I was offered a free drink on my following visit ( about 1 month later ). The barista was the same as the day I wrote the bad review. Did pay for my drink eventually as I didn't want to take if for free but the gesture was nice.

RACIST MANAGER please avoid!!! called the police on black woman who was sitting on a chair instead of kindly asking her to leave. Was aggressive and hostile this was seen on video evidence. No professionalism what so ever. I am lucky up north the costa workers are not racist please avoid at all costa as a POC!!!

Absolutely disgusting, a member of the public sat down at the coffee tables outside as she had heat stroke. The costa staff decided to call the police on the young lady for sitting outside not caring about the lady’s wellbeing. Alongside this a Caucasian individual sat outside for 5 minutes during this incident who also did not purchase any products yet they were not reported! The staff come across very racially discriminative and it’s disgusting how Costa staff can behave and treat members of the public in such a way.

Ordered a flat white and received a milky latte in regular size.

Good choice but slow service. Please improve the speed of service, people are in a hurry for a train. Thank you.

I commute twice a week and I start with hubspot Costa nearby station and I would strongly recommend this place just because of the service which I get every time. Special mention to Akash,who serve me most of the time,for his utmost charm and desire to satisfy customer need and the way he attend customer is commendable. Cheers guys 🥂

Have commuted to Cambridge from London to work for a few days and both members of staff have been very lovely each time I go!

I always go here before I get on the train for work. Akash usually serves me. Outstanding customer service from Akash and co every single time. They are all vet friendly. Akash offered me a new blend in my drink which tested amazing, my new go to drink now.

I stop at Cambridge north costa every morning and get my morning coffee, as the website says this Costa is open and serving at 7am… My train is at 7:15 when on time, so I have a limited time slot to grab a quick drink, in the last month, it has now happened to me 3 times, a certain member of your staff (young male, Asian decent) arrives well before 7am but doesn’t open the shutters until 7am and then has to stock the shelves and get prepped to start serving, I left it till 7.10am this morning still waiting to get served and the man was turning people away saying he’s not ready for another 15 mins, so for the 3rd time now with the same member of staff I had to go with out, but most mornings I arrive a 7 and other members of staff. they are open and serving, this one member of your staff is a disappointment

Checked opening hours before heading to the station early. Supposed to open at 7am but the costa still not open at 7:50

Horrible service. Made us apy full price but did not give us our full order. Didn't even have most of the stuff on the menu. Never going back!

Would be good if it opened before the morning rush hour trains have all left...

Such amazing staff! Couldn’t get their names but they were amazing! Expressed my issues with caffeine and they helped me make a brilliant decision on my drink! So pleased

Costa Coffee has really brought life to Cambridge North railway station. It does good trade from both passengers and people passing by. In warm weather it is ideal to sit in the station square and drink my coffee. Not the fault of Costa, but in winter time there is nowhere to sit inside apart from the waiting room on the platform, which is not possible if not taking a train. It would be great if Greater Anglia could open up the unused shop area and install some seats.

Drink tastes very weak. Not brand standard. Staff using phone next to customer.

Helpful staff and always decent coffee which tends to be made very quickly.

Unfortunate that we had to have a Costa, and this is the usual low quality. They are sneaky at trying to get an upgrade to the darker blend coffee without mentioning it costs more.
