Very grubby and tired looking now. Needs a damned good clean. Was only about 11.30 am on a Sunday so they’d not been open long so no excuse really. Dirty worn looking tables and grubby looking floor. The guy clearing tables wasn’t wiping any of them down. There’s glass all the way around as it’s upstairs in next and that was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Decent coffee but the ginger cake I had was hard around the edges. Will give it a miss next time I’m shopping at The Springs.

Enjoyed lunch at Costa in Next at the Springs, Leeds. I’m a regular customer and choose it over the other cafes for its friendly staff, good customer service and lovely bright first floor outlook with floor to ceiling windows. Staff are particularly helpful and volunteer to bring your order to the table time permitting so you can sit down once you’ve placed your order rather than standing waiting for it. Particular thanks to Steph and Karl for my visit yesterday.

Karl the manager was very helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble for him to our selves and other customers. The tables were cleaned very quickly after customers departed. Rather than us waiting for the coffees he brought them to us and other customers. In all it was a very good experience and a very high standard.

Had a great experience yesterday. Thanks to Karl , what an asset to Costa Coffee. The best service we've had in any Costa branch. He is polite, friendly and so very helpful. He's turned around this place which is situated in Next. We had snacks and tea . Thank you.

As usual, you get a good coffee reliably at Costa in Next at The Spring. Good service, a short wait bit we did choose lunchtime to visit! Coffee made just as we like, lovely Biscoff cheesecake. Thanks to the team and to Carl for taking the time to speak to us about our thoughts (eg Decaf in Costa Express machines etc.) We always choose Costa, even if we don't have our reuse cups with us.

You really need to teach the staff hygiene. One of the girls cleaned the counter with a dirty dishcloth, She then proceeded to get the little lemon tarts etc out and put them on the display plate. In between itching her nose. All done without washing hands and using her hand, spreading germs all over the counter and the tarts. Not acceptable at all, and after what the world has been through you really need to sort it. Me and my family will not go again. Disgusting

I am absolutely disgusted with the guy that was working today at Costa above Next in The Springs. My mother has a serious lung condition. She uses a rollator to assist with walking. The coffee shop was rather busy , however there were spare tables and only 3 people in front of me, my mother went to go sit down at a table whilst I was in the queue. She has Emphysema so was struggling to breath! The lovely guy shouted across to her ‘ you cannot sit down until you have your coffee’ !!! These people in the queue have waited longer than you. She explained I was in the queue, however, he still insisted on her not sitting at the table!!!! I was furious and walked out because if I hadn’t I would have created a scene in front of all the customers. We went to cafe Nero and the staff there were very welcoming and disgusted at my mothers treatment. I guess this member of staff reads up about disability discrimination he’s an absolute shambolic disgrace!!! I will be taking this further with senior management!!!!

It took 25 minutes to be served and there were only six people in the queue. I would have given up and left if my mum hadn't already been sitting at a table. There were three members of staff, two kept disappearing leaving one young girl on her own. Not sure where they were going but it clearly wasn't to clean the tables.

My experience of my visit was disgusting paying £20.05 and getting snapped at. I wouldn't go again waiting forever to get coffees. Slow service. Went to get coffees and showed a £20 note and a card. The woman Monique behind the counter snapped " One or the other"! She was also huffing and puffing and obviously didn't want to be there. If I could give 0 stars I would.

We come here twice a week. The staff, Donna and Amy are so kind to us. I have a lady in a wheelchair and they always bring our food over. They are very short staffed but still provide a good service!

Dirty, and incredibly rude staff member. My family came in for a coffee as a pit stop after a 3 hour drive to Leeds. I had been shopping before and met my family in Costa - there was a huge queue and I wasn’t buying anything so I entered the seating area to join my family and was loudly shouted at by the rude lady at the till, being told that I can’t skip the queue and need to pay? If I was going to skip the queue I would be trying to enter the queue and not going to sit down in the seating area with nothing to purchase? This was not needed in front of everyone and was very degrading. I then sat down with my family who had had just as much of an unpleasant experience with this staff member as she huffed and puffed her way through theirs and others orders and acted like them asking for a slice of banana bread with their drinks was an inconvenience? I’m not entirely sure what the lady expects to be asked working at a coffee shop, but I’m certain serving cake is something that happens a hell of a lot on every shift? Overall this was the worst experience that I have had at a Costa and has let the company down. I’ve worked in retail before for years and we all have bad days but it is not an excuse to degrade customers and be inhospitable in a hospitality job. On top of this the tables were unclean and floor was filthy, furthermore adding to the extremely unpleasant and inhospitable experience.

This pub has not long ago been taken over from the landlord and lady from the swan in trading.We were meeting family and friends from Newcastle and were very impressed to say the least.Seven adults and one child descended tea time Friday and it was quite busy but we were served promptly.I loved the relaxed atmosphere and spacious surroundings very clean and tables cleared quickly.Our meals were presented nicely and tasted very nice and reasonably priced. Looking forward to our next visit.

I had an absolute brilliant service! I was served by Zarin and Joana and I had the best experience every! They were really friendly and made sure I was comfortable for my flight as I lt was the first tike flying on my own. I dont usually write reviews but I feel like this was needed. Thank you so much guy you were amazing keep it up! I hope I'll see you again.

Very poor service. All staff look like they don’t want to be there. Lots of staff doing very little, with only one serving customers at the bar, with a customer queue, and no appreciation for customer wait time. No eye contact given, no smiles. Taking advantage of a captive audience with extremely high prices and lots of staff having an easy life. Staff talking amongst themselves whilst customers are waiting to be served. Employ someone that cares and can run an efficient and effective service.
