Absolute disgrace! Ordered Coffee, used my friends family discount. It did not register. Very cocky blonde haired bob girl. 'It must have been un shared with you. It's out of date We sacked a girl last week for this.' That's GDPR pet!' Absolutely showed me up in front of customers like I was a fraud and a thief taking my Car registration. Maybe you should have said download the new updated discount card! Maybe you should get extra training from Matt, Madeley, Rob. On my day off I like to wear tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt. Never judge a book by its cover or is it because I am gay?

And a coffee. Cant go wrong with a costa! We opted for the £5 deal of a medium coffee, a 3 pack of sandwiches plus an extra drink and spit the pack. We also chose to sit outside to enjoy the sunshine. Social distancing adhered to, I just hope that staff cleaned the packaging as the couple in front of us touched about every one before opting for a panini as they had not used the hand sanitiser on entering

Maybe because of time of day ; mid morning but queuing and coffee latte so so perhaps at a different time or weekday would be preferable

Came in for a hot chocolate and a break having driven over 100 miles. You can’t really go wrong with a Costa can you? Well the order was a green tea and a bit chocolate. Easy enough? Yeh I thought so too. Well my hot chocolate wasn’t so hot. There was even still powder in it and the green tea was served in half a pot of water. I had gone back to get the water topped up so that is was worth almost my £3 for it . I then sat back down to drink mine and although it was warm it wasn’t hot enough to serve. And it wasn’t a very good hit chocolate to boot. Best to give this stop a miss if you are looking for a decent hot drink !! Having said that there are other retailers who will serve you hot stuff !!! Give this a miss

Not only is it dear when compared to other Costas in the area, the staff are a tad inept. Ordered 2 Cortadas one caramel. Was told that if I wanted caramel it would be a 50p extra shot when a Caramel is on their menu for 15p more than the standard. Staff were bemused when I pointed this out to them!

We stopped at Costa to get coffee to go, staff clearly not happy bout working Sunday, didn't try coffee til we were driving again, rang to ask if there was a new blend as it was not good to be told 'YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT NOW CAN YOU?' to be fair after complaint Manager rang to discuss and that was appreciated.

On our way to visit family in Glasgow stopped for quick coffee break. Short queue dealt with efficiently by the barista. Usual quality coffee and my wife really enjoyed her hot apple drink.

We stopped off at Southwaite Services Southbound on a journey south last Friday. The main objective of our stop was simply to have a little break, and to stretch our legs. We had a little meander around, and ended up walking across the pedestrian bridge which crosses the motorway and links Southwaite Services Southbound with Southwaite Services Northbound.Once across, my daughter decided she would like a drink from Costa. We joined the lengthy queue, initially I wasn't very impressed as the service was painfully slow. However, we stuck with it, and eventually it was our turn.My daughter ordered a peach iced tea but unfortunately they were out of it. It is what she normally orders from Costa as she has an allergy to dairy, soya and eggs and knows that particular drink is safe for her to have. After explaining all this to the manager, it was at this point that I began to be impressed, as the manager went out of her way to help my daughter choose something that was safe for her to drink, and she ended up having a Bonfire spiced iced tea (a new seasonal drink). To sum up - it was busy, service was slow, but impressed with the way the manager handled the situation. Oh, and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her drink!

Love coffee at Costa on our journey up to Scotland. I got a Carmel iced latte. Others got flat white and English breakfast tea.

Called into Costa on the way home . The coffee was awful !! Knowing the business I asked the staff to check their coffee grinds. My suspicions were correct the coffee was running too fast which makes it taste watery and awful ! Said to the girl I'd like a refund which she did, but carried on serving the rubbish to the other customers without adjusting it again to correct it . Not impressed at all !! Won't be back

This is called a Rest Area because it is not open 24 hours. There is also a garage, with the usual food and drinks and a Travelodge, but it was the Costa Coffee we stopped for. What a change from your usual Motorway Services - very quiet, soft music, peaceful environment, really good choice of seating, pleasant outdoor area and lovely staff - what more can you want - none of the usual queuing for the loos etc. Even free wifi. If you are stopping on the M6 North in Cumbria and want a rest, coffee etc - please try the Todhills Rest Area. We believe there is also its twin opposite, on the M6 Southbound. Much better than the routine stops!!

Mad name for a pub when dogs are not even allowed yet it says on trip advisor dogs are allowed to sit outside. Spoke to the manager her reply was maybe someone as made a fake profile 🙄 🤔

Bit of a mixed experience - had a drink and a very quick bite to eat and although the male member of staff was really friendly, the young female staff member we spoke to initially was unwelcoming and dismissive, and walked off to serve other people in the middle of taking our order, and didn’t come back! Bizarre. The food was ok, cauliflower cheese didn’t seem to have any cheese on it though, just breadcrumbs, which was a bit odd. Gorgeous location.

Tebay has sadly followed so many other examples of once good places becoming popular and then losing what made them popular in the first place. Used to to be great quality but now feels like any number of other service stations. So sad that family run businesses get greedy and expand or sell out and the quality and service plummets. Americano coffee rubbish more like a filter coffee. Don't bother making a special stop here

*Booths*: £4.25, coffee 6/10 (no flat white option so too milky), roll 7/10 (good quality, no butter/only marg). Overall 7/10 *Cranstons*: £3.85, coffee 2/10 (just not good), roll 7/10 (Cumberland is best of all deals, very peppery/spiced, no butter/only marg, nice chutneys, bread roll a bit doughy) Overall 5/10 *Greggs*: £2.85, coffee 7/10 (actually decent, a bit highly caffeinated for me), roll 5/10 (decent at the price point, always bacon though as sausage are low quality, no butter/only marg) Overall 6/10 *Tim Hortons*: £3.50, coffee 3/10 (just go black coffee in which case 7/10, everything else far too milky), wrap 5/10 (tastes kind of nice at the time, but you know it’s crap - like crack) Overall 4/10 *Rheged*: £4.25, coffee 8.5/10 (no flat white option so too milky), roll 8.5/10 (good quality, butter, lovely crunchy roll, bacon or sausage as an option are fine and an extra quid for both) Overall 8.5/10
