What ever you want to eat its there if you want curry in a yorkshire then this is for you 👍

Been before around 4-5 times can’t go wrong with the staff there friendly and really helpful but me and the Mrs went yesterday and as we was eating something kicked off (looked to be two blokes fighting) babies was involved aswell which was quite distressing. Another thing the Indian food was absolutely awful chicken was crunchy and cold sauce was watery naan was like dough not to mention the price which was £55 for 2 of us which in my opinion is ridiculous as we had to wait nearly 2 hours to be seated but yeah I won’t be going back just thought I’d warn others.

First time visiting cosmos in Doncaster and it wasn't the best the place was a little dark for my liking and the food was ok nothing much to write home about. But all in all not a bad place to grab a bit to eat if your shopping or waiting for a train.

I previously had been to Cosmo for lunch in Aberdeen which was fantastic (see my other review), so was eager to go to the Doncaster branch when I was in town. What a disappointment! They explained that the full sushi offering and Teppanyaki wasn’t available for lunches. Not deterred, I thought there would be plenty of other things on offer. Being pescatarian I struggled. The only fish dish I found was fish fingers …. and they weren’t anything to write home about. I tried noodles and then looked around for something to have with them. I’m sure, if you’re a carnivore, you’d find something, but I ended up putting coleslaw and salad on them … That was an interesting combination. I certainly didn’t go hungry but, after the amazing experience in Aberdeen I was less than impressed.

Excellent selection of food especially on a weekend, good service, has a licenced Bar, Very good for functions.

I thought this place was amazing. There are loads of options at the buffet and the service is amazing. Everyone is really friendly and the good is great. Highly recommend.

Went today from out of town- ended up with food poisoning. Won’t be going here again - absolutely gutted I spent £40 on a meal that ended up just making me and my partner very very ill

Good selection of food plenty to choose from, resturants nice and clean, booked for a birthday meal after visiting here with my family, upon arrival was asked to pay upfront by the lady at the reception which I found not very welcoming at all especially on a family birthday meal however the gentleman serving our table actually said that we would be fine paying after we had eaten as expected, everything else was spot on.

food was good, what it said on the tin, however there was no fizzy drinks available all night and the server who cleans the plates away would not win any awards for politeness. slamming plates and glasses and spilling food over the table and on members of my party without so much as a sorry. after spending over £200 not the service i expected tbf. wont be attending again in a hurry. Disappointed to say the least.

Party of 9 who attended for the first time last night as a family for my sons 16th birthday. Food was excellent, plenty of variety, nice and hot and replenished. Desserts were limited in choice and a little samey I.e. the cheesecakes in different flavours etc. The staff were really friendly at the greeting desk, although our waitress who removed the plates was quite stern looking and not very approachable hence we looked for our own spoons for dessert instead of asking, she was understandably busy but still...we were disappointed that the refillable drinks weren't available and didn't fancy paying over the odds for bottled drinks which we don't usually have due to the gas being off,and we were promptly informed of this during our short wait fir a table before being seated. The atmosphere was quite busy, and we found that members of the public seemed to leave their manners at home and social awareness, not the fault of the staff at all and I'm grateful we were sat to the side out of the way. We will more than likely return at some point as the food is great and there's so much to choose from in a range of cuisines and added bonus all are labelled clearly, but maybe we will try another branch in another city near by to us. Great value for money too.

Wouldn't feed the dog this food absolutely vile will not return everyone else thought the same everything seems scruffy everyone touching things not good at all

We go to Cosmo often, but we got there around 7:00 p.m. I was horrified, we paid the same as everyone else, but every second pot was empty and no one came to refill it, and the food that was still left seemed to have been reheated for the tenth time, so we were very disappointed.

We visited on September the 8th in the evening. Unfortunately the refillable drinks were out of order and all bottles of soft drinks had ran out so we opted for water, this couldn't be helped though and the staff were very apologetic. We had the misfortune of being sat by a large table of unruly guests, they spent their time piling plate upon plate of all the prawns they could find, more than anyone could eat! They also let their under 5 yr old children run riot unsupervised around the restaurant. The staff had to ask for them to put shoes on the children and even had to come over when one of the children hit another customer! We also witnessed the children with their hands in the chocolate fountain! Why they weren't asked to leave is beyond me. The food was lovely but unfortunately the evening was totally ruined by these guests

Always had a good time here but this time a shambles..drinks machine broken so could only buy bottles,that happens but they actually refused to supply a glass with them,called a manager who relented.no knife and forks for first twenty minutes.Eventually got them to find they had run put of plates..Terribly short staffed that meant used plates weren't taken away..The queue of people complaining is testament to the shambles it was today

Worst visit ever. We come to cosmo at least 6 times a year, between 5 and 8 of us every time. To was my dad's 81st birthday and 55year wedding anniversary and. We were stood at reception for 6 minutes before someone came to book us in. Once seated we were told the refillable drinks were out of order, we usually have 4 drinks each minimum. The drinks we ordered took 14 minutes to get to our table . We went to get food and no plates, we stood near the food with other customers and waited 9 minutes before some plates were brought out. This was extremely disappointing. Worse visit we've ever had in over 30 visits.

Know this review is a very bad one but I will say I've been many times before and had a good time. We arrived as a family of five and were shown to our seat.The waitress explained that the drinks machine was broken and they only had bottles..These things happen so we ordered j2o and diet cokes..The waitress then came back and apologised that they had run out of cutlery and it would be 15 mins before they got more.The drinks arrived but no glasses.I requested some to be told we weren't allowed any as they were restricted..The expected my 80 year old mother to drink from a bottle..I asked to see a supervisor who on the threat of us getting up and walking out finally relented..We gave up waiting for cutlery and went and took some from other tables..Then just as we thought we might get round to eating something we noticed big groups of people waiting for plates..They were obviously terribly short staffed..We was sat near the till and as I ate I watched a constant stream of people going to complain..Frankly it was a total shambles from beginning to end..When I went to pay I started to complain but then just said "you've heard this thirty times already haven't you?" She looked at me and just nodded so I just felt sorry for her and just paid..Frankly £130 wasted and I won't be returning again.If management are reading this I suggest you get your act in order because Sunday was the kind of shambles that turns thriving restraints into ghost towns.

Service was terrible. The food while there is a good selection. Is of a very poor quality. At £22 per head, I would expect better. I won't be returning.

Booked a table for 8:15pm as that was the only time they had (booked at around 5pm) we arrived and it was heaving people queuing out the door.. we told the staff our names etc people were complaining (walk ins) that it was taking too long which to be honest it’s expected when it’s a Friday night. Staff seemed very overwhelmed and under pressure. We got seated pretty quickly with it being only the two of us, only issue was us having a pram because we have a baby and so they had to find us a different table so we were waiting another 10 mins while staff hustled to find us a table to fit our pram.. everything was okay but I’d be mindful of choosing what time to go as we sat down around 8:30 and they stop replenishing the food at 9pm so there really wasn’t much left for us to choose from to eat and most things were rock hard or soggy so not great, the drinks ice machine was also being dodgy and would only fill abit of ice mostly water so that was annoying, me and partner have had severe belly ache since being home after a few hours so that isn’t great either. Over all I’d say it can be good sometimes it’s hit and miss, but just choose the time you go wisely.

Cosmos is a lovely place to eat so many choices everything was well presented and looked fabulous the staff are lovely we were well looked after

1st time there and food is really good

Whilst the staff were good, the food was terrible, processed duck etc and not the good stuff.. completely different food quality than my last visit a few years ago. Don't bother unless you want poor quality

It's just the place to be at when on a night out. Start off there with outstanding food . Top place

Most of the food is quite nice, the meat could be better quality. Didn't understand the service charge since we got our own drinks and food

(SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO A BETTER PLACE) I went to Cosmo years ago and did not like it I thought I would try it again for my friend`s birthday. It was horrible!!!! We walked in and were taken to our table the waitress came over I had to ask her to slow down she was talking way too fast rushing to get back to standing and doing nothing. she had attidute issue`s. when we told her what drinks we would like we went up to get the food and that was horrible it all tasted like microwaved warmed-up take-out. the food had been sat under the lights for so long it was sticking the the trays i tried to get chips and onion rings and they were stuck. I tried the noodles which were covered in grease and the lemon pork was so tough to eat it nearly broke my teeth. then when we were leaving we tried to get a mint each to get the horrible taste of food out of our mouths and the waitress who took our order gave the birthday man attitude telling him to put them back. When we tried to pay they added a 3% service charge to the bill I asked what this was for and the reply was it`s for listening!!! absolute joke adding a fee for them doing nothing i had to clear my table because no one would come and take our plates. WE NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS **** HOLE

Went on Saturday was sooo busy it’s good we booked a table. The food was fresh and delicious had so many different dishes, in the end could barely breathe :D was soooo worth it.

The food looks very nice but underneath it's mostly all the same, bland and tasteless and cannot justify the high price charged. The dining area and toilets are in poor shape and desperately needs a makeover. Cannot recommend.

A large group of us came here for a birthday. The place was absolutely packed, but we were seated straight away (we were 20 mins early as well) so happy about that! Everyone in our party really enjoyed the food! So much selection, nothing was running out. Apart from the plates they were a bit sparse. But all the staff were running around working very hard. Decent service from what we had. Would return again…. But please put prawn toast back on! Haha

Food was OK. Typical salty but flavourless buffet food. Appreciated the unlimited softdrinks option. Staff were lovely but the booth they put us in was dark, and the seating was all ripped.

went here for my birthday, it was actually so fire you don't even get it. wait time was short and you were just allowed to get up and get whatever you wanted, food was delicious and they really have something for everyone, and staff were all polite and friendly. very good experience, will be coming again.

So overrated, the desserts were warm the cheesecakes, mousse even fruit! Not a lot of choice wouldn't call it a world buffet, pasta was awful, carvery awful. Not a massive Chinese choice. Not a lot for choice for the chocolate fountain. Ordered refills no one brought the glasses so had to go get them myself. The drinks dispenser was dispensing flat drinks. Won't go back it's overpriced and over hyped. was meant to be a treat for my birthday ended up eating something at home. staff also live on tiktok no sign mentioning this phone propped up showing customers faces. Had moody servers on stations

Visited a few times over the years now. Food is okay is better when it’s fresh and not standing for a little while. Recent visit was a bit disappointing with one of the chefs obviously having a bad day and being rather rude and unpleasant.

It's standard quantity over quality, like almost these "pan Asian buffet" places. Unlikely we will go again. And if we did, we wouldn't be dropping in, we would definitely book, even calling up en route rather than the wait once we got there

Food was lovely some not very warm though , pizza was lovely fresh and red hot , chicken nuggets like rubber , place was very busy . Had a table booked for 7pm.and was seated immediately , plates were in short supply but it was packed , overall loads of choice nice food will try again

A fantastic buffet with international cuisine. A huge variety of Asian dishes, from dry rice through all kinds of chicken and pork to sushi. You eat as much as you want, you have 1 hour. 45 min. Very nice service. I took advantage of the Free Meal on My Birthday promotion and saved £20

We were greeted by Francesca who showed us to our table but made such a fuss about where we were able to leave our pushchair, even though we were the only people in this section. She went on to ask what drinks we would like, before we had even put the baby into a high seat and sat down ourselves, without even looking at the menu. She stood impatiently, waiting to take our drinks order. Then she announced we would need to pay for our meals in advance and to go to the till. She then went on to serve another table whilst we waited at the till for her to return. We felt pressured and uncomfortable with her attitude and rushing us. This wasn’t a good start to our relaxing lunch. The food was ‘just’ ok, everything was soggy and the plates were stuck together, although there was plenty of choice. Wouldn’t recommend and will not be returning.

Had an amazing waiter named Anita that spoke to us though she was not our server she treated us with great hospitality and we all enjoyed the nice conversation with Anita and she made the experience a million times better she deserves a raise and or promotion

Absolutely amazing service from Anita gave us all a good laugh every time we saw her really made us enjoy our dinner, don't think we would have enjoyed it as much as we did if she wasn't serving us hope she gets recognised for her service and professionalism at the same time. Hope she does well in the future.

We made a reservation for dinner this evening. Our table was booked for 5:15pm. We were seated almost immediately. We had requested booth seating, in our reservation special requests, and this was granted. There was plenty of food options, pizza🍕, Chinese🥢, Indian curries, grill and fresh fish🍤. Also a good selection of dessert 🍨, fresh fruit🍉🍒🍇🍌, ice cream🍨🍦, cakes🍰🍩 mousses etc, and not forgetting the chocolate fountain🍫🍢😋. We opted for the refillable soft drinks🥤. For 2 adults, 1 teen, the bill came to £71.??, this included the £2.odd optional tip, which was pointed out to us, and made clear that it was totally optional. We had a lovely family dinner, to celebrate our daughter finishing her exams🎓📚

My wife and I visited this establishment yesterday from Durham to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary. We had booked online and mentioned our anniversary in the booking. Upon arrival, a polite and friendly staff member greeted us and asked us to wait to be seated. Initially, we were concerned by the number of noisy children, as we had hoped for a quiet escape from our own. 😂 We were then escorted to our table by a delightful lady with glasses, whose exceptional customer service greatly enhanced our experience. Her professionalism is a true asset to your team. Our server explained the dining process and took our drink orders, but we struggled to hear her over the noise. A written guide on the table might help in such situations. The cocktails were wonderful, and we enjoyed our meals, although I won't detail every dish as I had three plates. The food was generally good, and the staff worked hard to meet demand and maintain cleanliness. However, some dishes were overly greasy, and the prawns were not properly prepared. Including a burger station, like Za Za Bazaar in Bristol, could be a great addition. A freshly made noodle station would be good also. Additionally, the food layout was chaotic during busy times. A circular station arrangement could improve the traffic flow. Lastly, while we didn't expect special treatment, it would have been nice if someone had acknowledged our anniversary. **Summary**: Our visit was pleasant, with excellent customer service and good food. However, the noise level, food preparation, and layout could use improvement, and a small gesture recognising our anniversary would have been appreciated.

Very good Chinese food love the sushi aswell hated the wait to get in tho wish they would have more staff and maybe battered chicken balls and mushroom fried rice hops value for £20.95

I came here with 2 friends for a birthday meal. Service was friendly & efficient. There's a big variety of food. The only small downside for me is, I was looking forward to Thai food and I went over to that counter and there was none at all. A good place if you like variety.

As usual great food, brilliant atmosphere and fantastic service. This place never disappoint my expectations and for that reason I keep coming back. Easy access and parking in French gate shopping centre with plenty of shops to visit.

This wasn’t my first visit but the first in about 2 years. Foods really good value for money and so many options but I was massively disappointed with the fact they make you pay first before eating or drinking if you are a walk in customer. This wouldn’t be an issue normally as I know other food places require payment first but the fact they whack a service charge on is absolutely scandalous. The waiter literally brought over 2 empty glasses. We then got own food and own drink so not sure how they warrant this service charge. Won’t be coming back here

We spent my Mother in laws birthday 🎂. It was fun.

After discovering cosmo many years ago when it had its york branch, I was excited to try it again for my wife's birthday. The centre it is situated in is scruffy but the restaurant itself is really nicely decorated with brilliant atmosphere, staff were friendly However the food, while there being dishes from every country, the actual selection from each is tragic and the food quality leaves a lot to be desired. Duck was wet, only japanese food was sushi and only Italian food was pizza and lasagne. The quality of each was terrible. Cheap puddings that were in an open fridge being touched by the feral children running around. The only reason the food didn't get 1 star was due to the bottomless drinks. Will not be returning and wouldn't really recommend to anyone

We have been recently. I am vegetarian and diabetic. That was Weekday. There was literally nothing for vegetarian main course. Paid for buffet. We haven’t had even £5 worth of food. No paneer dishes, which is everyone’s favourite dish I hope. I was asking few different staff and chef but they didn’t even know paneer dishes. Wish they will add few vegetarian dishes

The price is good. Service is also pretty the only thing not good is the food. There is not too many choice and the food is very soso, so like I’m not even be able to be full in a buffer place since the food chose is so limited.

Turned up today, we didn't book. If you don't book you need to pay before you eat (not an issue but server made it abit awkward) food was the standard quality nothing special but expected at an all you can eat. We took 2 kids with us one with allergies and it was easy to point out what he couldn't have. A good variety of food. The food wasn't very hot and quite alot of the dishes had ran out/very low which were not replaced during our visit which was abit rubbish as was the pasta dishes that kids love. Servers were all polite and friendly especially with the kids. Thanks. Will visit again but not sure when.

I love this restaurant! So many food choices. I do recommend reserving before you go. It's quite busy on a weekend just to be aware. Food is really good and there is so many choices and as much as you want to eat.
