Avoid is all I can say. Cheap for a reason, food is appaling. 7 of us ate here tonight. One order was wrong, chips were cold, steak cremated ,asked for it medium, & full of gristle. Buttermilk chicken greasy & tasteless & has made my daughter feel sick, just hoping it's the grease & nothing worse. Both pizzas awful. Never a lover of Wetherspoons but this was beyond awful

What in the red box cheesey pasta is this! I am absolutely mortified this should be criminal! Seen better food in the jail

We’ve just had a really nice breakfast here. My husband had the traditional Scottish breakfast and enjoyed it. I ordered porridge and a bowl of fresh fruit salad and yoghurt so I could have the fresh fruit and it was beautifully fresh fruits, including strawberries, apple, banana and blueberries. Made such a nice change from the fruit syrup preserves we’ve been having at other places. The staff were also very friendly and the coffee from the automated machines, did taste like coffee.

FOOD POISONING: Two of us had the spicy feast pizza last night, and both of us began vomiting within a few hours. We have now been vomiting over 24 hours, with food poisoning. We arrived in Oban on holiday on Monday afternoon, and have been unable to get out of bed all day, vomiting every 2 hours. Lost an entire day of our holidays. Not impressed to get food poisoning.

My father, Daughter and myself decided to take a trip up to oban for the day we came to this shocking place for lunch they guy took our order and it was completely wrong so my father explained to the waitress that the guy took our order wrong when asked who it was he said it was the African guy the manager came over and said we had been charged for the food we have. He then went away and came back and said that we had to leave because we were racist! It wasn't the African comment it was the waitress that lied through her teeth I'm disgusted in their behaviour I'll never be back the food was appalling to the burgers were so small better going to the chip shop around the corner it's far better food and service I'm currently in communication with Weathersoons head office to take actions further

I don’t usually go in Wetherspoons but today when in Oban and only had just over half an hour before boarding our coach we popped in for a quick coffee. There didn’t seem to be a queue and people were pushing to get to the front to be served but I wouldn’t do that so took ages to be served. The bar staff just served anyone with a loud voice. The coffee a decaf latte and a decaf cappuccino was very good. The thing that lets this place down are the rude customers. Plenty of toilets but some not clean. Value was very good and £1.56 each.

We came in after a day trip to Oban with our young family. We ordered drinks for us and food for the children which were well priced. The app worked well and the food arrived quickly and was plentiful. The only negative was the attitude of one particular waitress who was abrupt and unnecessarily passive aggressive for no reason. She definitely had disdain for the customers eating there! Apart from that, we enjoyed watching the ferries come and go and the children left well fed.

Arriving into Oban on a damp Saturday evening I soon discovered that for a town with a huge amount of tourism, there is a distinct lack of places to eat and those that there were, had queues out of the door. I walked into this Wetherspoons and it was horrible. A huge, room, packed to the rafters with damp tourists, no atmosphere and in fact exactly what you would expect to find in a Wetherspoons on a Saturday tea time. But I needed to eat and happened to spot a vacant table and grabbed it. The queue at the bar was large but as this is not my first rodeo I opened up the Wetherspoons app and ordered myself a beer. Within moments my pint arrived with a smile even though my server was clearly having a very busy night. The food menu (also on the app) was certainly not fine dining. Burgers, fish & chips etc. All stuff that can be produced quickly and cheaply. I went with a pizza. It arrived in good time (with another beer) and was fine! For the money I was paying it delivered OK value. So even though there was nothing authentic about this place and I could have been in any town in the UK, service was good, the food was perfectly fine and the price paid reflected this. Apart from the sheer size and noise of the place, the staff were doing a great job hence. 4 stars Would I recommend? Probably not but as the last port in the storm, it did the job it had to do

Dreadful service. Inconsistent pricing and overly officious staff. Awful place.I have never experienced staff treating mature adults in such a manner anywhere else.No customer care, no charisma.

I was told they had nothing to offer other than Chicken strips. It was 6-30 pm. I could feel the young lady serving me did not like old people. They need to sack the manager for incompetence.

Thursday 6th June visited to be told the kitchen was closing at 8pm.As we tried to order on the app all menu was off. Went to bar to try and order to be told kitchen was closed Pointed out their clock was 5 minutes fast and eventually got to order. One staff member at bar very rude and at table just turned and walked away as we spoke to them. On the Tues 4th Curry night kitchen closed at 9pm, we tried to order curry early in evening but both were not available not much good for a curry night Breakfast was very different staff efficient and breakfast very good. Won't be back to Corryvreckan.

Had two lunches at this restaurant which is right on the quayside. It has the usual Wetherspoons menu, which is cheap and cheerful but of good quality. We especially like the lunches with prosecco added when on holiday - sort of makes the occasion that little bit different. Both our lunches were enjoyable and excellent value for money.

Worst food I’ve ever tasted partner got the steak £15 full off fat couldn’t eat it I got the chicken breast burger £12 bloody freezing spent £27 on food and I need too buy a bag chips on way back too hotel don’t waste your money here

It’s a Spoons. What do you expect? We were served by young people who did a really good job. Food was perfectly fine.

Small fish and chips ordered but never expected this bit of fish to be offered to anyone.ate it in 4 tiny bites although it was tasty to pay over £10 for this and glass of wine was terrible.

Okay food in a big barn of a place. Decent coffee for pre train journey. The service always lets it down. Not at the bar but at the tables. It is not enough to clear the table you have give a wee wipe as well. Possibly poor training and morale.

Grote bar in de haven in het centrum van Oban, eerste avond alleen een biertje gedronken, ze hebben er heel veel verchillende biertjes aan de tap. Tweede avond ook gegeten daar, je kunt alles digitaal bestellen en betalen met een app of op de site, eten en drinken worst gebracht. Drankjes kun je ook gewoon zelf aan de bar halen. Eten was goed, heerlijke pasta en pizza hadden we. Alle ca. 20 verschillende biertjes krijg je in een glas van het biermerk zelf, goed voor mekaar hier.

Quite good rendition of a wetherspoons. Watch out for the bold seagulls if eating outside! Friendly staff and quick service

Dropped by for brunch, I had the vegetarian brunch and it was good, sausages a little cold but nothing that made me unhappy. Waitress that brought food and took plates was really friendly and nice.

Just what you would expect from a Wetherspoons, great service good price and great food. Right next to the ferry terminal also the toilets are on ground level.

Huge disappointment. We’ve always enjoyed Witherspoon’s in the past but this was horrible. Inexperienced, untrained staff, boring menu, poor quality food. Sad.

Good food and service for a meal with teenage son. Excellent location and very clean for such a large pub.

Arrived, found a table, ordered drinks on the app. First big mistake. App said 10 waiting. While we waited a local lout arrived sitting his head of moving between tables. Acted as if he owned the place shouting his mouth off, brushing past, no apologies. No action taking by staff. After 20 minutes wait the drinks finally arrived. Left 10 mins later. Never again!

Typical Wetherspoon pub which was extremely busy when we visited. Service was very fast and food was good although as we ordered from afternoon deal, I’m not sure if the potion size had been reduced. Tables cleared and cleaned quickly after people left.

This Wetherspoons pub stands near the ferry terminal and from its large windows and sun terrace you get great views of the bay and of Oban itself with McCaig's Tower on the top of the hill. Classic Wetherspoons menu with reasonable prices and good choices...

Not for the first time, they push out curry dishes which are let down by soggy poppadoms. A poppadom is not designed to Bend double without cracking. At the same time the nann is supposed to be soft and not hard on the edges.

What it says on the tin and a little more. Lovely cosy atmosphere with lovely friendly efficient staff. The choice of real ales was very good and the food was absolutely fine and great value for money. This is one of my favourite Spoons that I have visited and have been here several times.For what it sets out to do it was definitely on point and I will definitely be back.

Hadn't booked anywhere for our third night in Oban but managed to get a table at Corryvreckan. Couldn't cope with the app ordering so, luckily, could order normally at the bar. Food was served quickly and was perfectly adequate. Big airy space inside and the staff were friendly. Good location next to the railway station and the harbour.

Menu reduced because of staff shortages but the food was not very hot when it arrived.Nearly £4 for 4 pieces of toast.

Great location with easy access from the rail station and town centre.Good choice of food and drink, ordered via the app on a really busy afternoon. Drinks arrived swiftly and the food was on the table within 8 minutes.All staff were friendly and really helpful. I would recommend a visit if you are looking for great value for money in a nice location.

Visited here as we were staying in Oban for a couple of days. Sat outside even though the weather wasn't great but found a table under the canopy which was dry.Ordered drinks on the app & were impressed by hiw quickly they were delivered by pleasant staff.

Called in on off chance of a drink. Most of tables unoccupied but queueing in place. Seemed totally devoid of any atmosphere so decided to leave just as got to the front of the queue

Called in for food and drinks when we were in Oban for a few days.Due to Covid regulations we did have to queue on a Saturday evening, but thought if we left other places could be the same so we waited approx. Half an hour.We ordered drinks from the bar which were served quickly by a friendly bar tender.Once the food was ordered we didn’t wait very long and it arrived piping hot.The food was typical of a Wetherspoons but I really could not fault it, in fact it was the best food I have had in a Wetherspoons .The pub was very clean and tidy throughout , and the ladies were immaculate.

We visited on our trip to Oban and not being regular Wetherspoon customers were unsure what to expect. Arriving at 6.45 we found that we had to queue to enter. This was due to tables being closed for COVID and staff issues. We did not have to wait too long and we were shown to a table which was well spaced from nearby tables. We ordered a sirloin steak and Chicken Tikka, each of us having a glass of wine. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals and the fact the cost was under £20.Well done Wetherspoon.

Thought I would have a trip to Mull so as I knew they had a whether spoons at Oban pier I decided to start early and have breakfast before my trip I arrived at 8-50 and as my boarding time for the ferry was 9-45 I thought good plenty time for my meal the place was quite busy but only one server as I waited for some time I asked the server about my order to which she said would arrive when due I then waited till 9-30 and the lady decided to check it out only to find they had lost my order so eventually it arrived 9-40 so with only 5 mins before my gate time closed so I had to either miss my boat or forget my breakfast but I managed to put most of it in napkins and take it on board with me ,not the start to a day out so won't be going there again there is an obvious flaw in their system when they can lose an order

First night we tried to go we were informed at the door nobody was getting in due to a shortage of staff, no food being served. Second night, had to wait around 20 mins to get seated, which was fair enough they were busy, we opted for a small fish and chips which was lovely. Third night, only had to wait around 10 mins to get in, the app wasn't working so had to order at the bar, ordered Nachos and Large Fish and Chips, had to wait over 30 mins for the food, both came at once, the Nachos were soggy and the cheese like cardboard, and the Fish looked like it had been reheated and the batter wasn't crispy.

Went in for lunch, was sat at a table that was not cleaned, the seats were stained, there was dust on the back of our seats, that looked like it hadn't been dusted for a month, same as the lights covered in dust, and the carpet looked like it also hadn't seen the hoover for a week. The food was a ok, but not as hot as it should have been, I think it was due to the waiter not knowing we're the table numbers are. We had fish and chips and a mixed grill, the mixed grill came with one mushroom and one teaspoon of peas, the fish and chips also had one teaspoon of peas. Very disappointed wished we had gone to the chippy instead.

Stood at door unsure of what the procedure was and we lost count of how many staff members went passed and never offered any assistance so we just walked in.Sat down at tables which was sticky and we both thought the place could do with a tidy up.Food did come quickly but we found out why.... it was barely warm..... the bacon on the burger was cold.We left over half our food wishing we had went back to the Chippy we visited the night before

We stopped a couple of times for a drink, what we got was a typical soulless Wotherspoons. We ordered using the app and in the first occasion the drinks took a long time to arrive, not so bad the second time. As with most of this chain you know what you are getting therefore I can’t complain too much!

We didn’t actually eat here, but were walking past to go on the boat tour next to it when my fiancé fell. I didn’t catch the member of staff’s name, but she was extremely kind and helpful and got us everything we needed and I wanted to thank her for that. I hope she gets some sort of recognition, because she was very professional, very helpful and really helped in this situation! Thank you!

Honestly couldn't fault this place, great food and service. Covid safe and staff couldn't have done more to help us. On the waterfront which is good, already recommended to a friend who is coming up at the weekend

Had breakfast here for the last two days as we have no other choice at the moment and had traditional breakfast. Both times the bacon was cold as we're the eggs and sausage. Worst breakfast I have ever had.

Typical Wetherspoons - carpet sticky, table too. Cheap drink and food but the food was tasty. My food looked as though it was flung together.

Just had dinner in the Corryvwreckan. The list and chips were excellent, freshly prepared and very tasty. Yes there are many fish & chip shops in Oban, but the fish & chips with pint for less than a £10 couldn’t be beat.

Took us 2 hours to get one drink and a panni. Staff reluctant to serve us and told us to use their App. Due to the situation of our table the App wouldn’t work. Took 30 minutes for someone to serve us, then 20 minutes for our drink to arrive. Had to go looking for a staff member to serve us for another drink, and when I said I was unhappy with the service, he said “ whatever”, turned his back on us and walked away. At this point we decided enough was enough and left...

My partner took me here for a nice dinner tonight, I ordered steak and chips and my partner ordered the mixed grill. We waited patiently for our dinner and when it arrived we were VERY disappointed, the food arrived cold. I am not talking warm, it was actually freezing cold like it had been sat somewhere for ages before we got it. We don't get out much due to having a disabled child so this was a rare treat and we were looking forward to it but we are very disappointed and it has ruined a long awaited night out. WE WONT BE GOING BACK

hi went there twice whilst in oban went for breakfast which was terrible the egg was cooked about 2 days ago the beans were cold rest ok then called in for adrink one evenoing and from entering the pub till we got our drinks took 20 mins the server said they were under staffed yet there was 4 people behind the bar and a couple doing table service nice pub lovely location the rest a SHAMBLES

Very busy pub,but with the Covid in operation if you do not have a Whetherspoon's app and have to track and trace waiting to get served can be a long wait. 15 minutes for a drink

Had a couple of drinks here and was really not impressed with the lack of hygiene standards.We managed to get a table outside and placed our order by the app.The staff seemed to be struggling with the capacity.Tables were not being cleared quick enough ( not enough staff?)Tables were not being sanitised when being cleared.Staff was taking orders at tables but not clearing them on their way back to the bar.Allowing the seagulls to descend on the leftovers.One waitress in particular had no customer service skills whatsoever, we watched her take some orders and was very abrupt especially with an elderly couple who obviously didn’t have the app to do an online order.I think they had some sort of food intolerance and was asking specifically about some ingredients.The waitress was very rude & not informative at all ( more all less verbally giving out a disclaimer) .To sum it up a very poor experience be warned about the hygiene practices.

We visited today for a drink. Not impressed at all with the way Covid rules being implemented - nobody at the door to greet you and explain about track and trace. Customers walking in "exit only doors" Customers not wearing masks. Tables not being cleaned even when we asked for it to be wiped down. Instruction on the table gives three options on how to order. One of these is to give your order at the table to a member of staff, when I asked a member of staff she advised me the only way to order was via the app. When I asked if she would be coming outside to take orders she said no then just happened to take orders from three other tables.I did order via the app (grudgingly) then we waited 30/40 minutes for the drinks to be brought.Won't be back!!

Typical as expected Wetherspoons, easy to get a seat and food and drinks really reasonable for the price. Staff were very attentive and helpful however no one at the door so no track and trace taken and lots of folk moving around with no masks not to mention the kindergarten of kids being served drinks! As mentioned you know what to expect in a Wetherspoons but a little more care would make this one you’d want to go back to.

Three of us visited yesterday for a coffee and a beer,we were not asked to sign in and there was no one on the door to ensure track and trace,people were just walking straight in as if Covid did not exist..they were also entering via the Exit Only way unchallenged, In the Fort William one last week we were stopped at the door to sign in.Customers in Oban were walking around inside with no masks and were not challenged.We.found an empty table in the outside area,it still had the previous customers' dishes and glasses on it and was therefore not clean.the staff got the order wrong , bringing my brother in law a pint of John Smiths instead of a shandy..we ordered another round which was ok but our previous empty glasses were not removed.We did observe a man collecting glasses in the hour that we were there (2pm - 3pm)but at no time did we see tables being cleaned.Covid is not to be ignored for all our sakes,not least your staff who have to deal with so many different people.We like wetherspoons (best value in Oban}...On another day we ordered 2 beers outside a popular pierside pub..the bill was £8.40..we left there and went to Wetherspoons for another 2 beers..the bill was £3.68 !! so it's not all bad at W's with a great selection of beers.I don't normally complain but Covid is still with us - a fact that wasn't too apparent on our visit.

The menu looked good, we wanted lunch but we were asked if we had booked, no, it was just a day trip, did not know the area so would not have known where to book or even if we were going to stay for any length of time? We also presumed cafe's and restaurants were desperate for business coming out of lockdown

As the guest house we stayed in did not have a breakfast service we looked for a breakfast in Oban had to be clean, tidy, warm and welcoming as well as vegan, meat lover and gluten free breakfast, this pub had everything on the tick list including a nice clean ladies and helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious at a good price. Covid secure . Would return.

You know what you’re getting at a Wetherspoons and this is no different, which is good. Nice modern building right next to the station and ferry pier. At this time you do your ordering etc via the app and get table service. No problem.

We've been in Oban for a few days and have been dining in our favourite restaurant the Corryvreckan. Big shout out to the staff for doing a sterling job in tricky circumstances. Food is as delicious as always and they really are giving it their all. We'll done guys. Love this place and better days to come hopefully for you all.

This Wetherspoons is in a great location, sat just on the bay in Oban where you can watch the boats coming and going. We stayed in Oban for two nights and visited here a couple of times, once for drinks and again for breakfast. Staff were friendly and efficient, although service was a little slow and particularly difficult when the other half asked what cask ales were on and could he try some. We got there in the end and the breakfast was really good!

The management have definitely made the best of their location during the Covid lock down with plenty of sheltered out door seating. Nice friendly atmosphere and extremely good value for money with real ale for 99 pence a pint!! When I told a friend he ask how I had got there; by car or time machine!Staff were attentive and didn't hide inside in the warm
