I’ve visited here twice now with my boyfriend and the toasties here are the best toasties I’ve ever had in my entire life. On my most recent visit, I had the gammon, cheese, and bacon jam toastie which is absolutely delicious. I had never heard of bacon jam before I visited here. I was a bit skeptical that it would taste nice but I was very pleasantly surprised that it was actually so tasty and it worked really well. The amount of filling in the toastie is really generous as well which is a bonus and the bread they use is delicious. They also serve some organic fizzy drinks. On my first visit, I had a cherry cola which I think was a Fentimans cherry cola though I could be wrong. It is certainly an acquired taste although it wasn’t bad. The other Fentimans fizzy drinks might be a bit better. I saw that they had macarons with the variety of cakes they were selling so I decided to get one. It was a passionfruit macaron with a vanilla filling and it tasted amazing! I will say that unfortunately the macaron was hollow so I think maybe they overworked the batter or something when making them. It’s not this cafe’s fault though because I think they get all their cakes from a local bakery. The actual cafe is well decorated and is really cozy. It has a nice atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. They have some outdoor seating as well so we sat outside during a summer visit. I would definitely recommend a visit here if you’re in Buckingham and fancy a good toastie. They really are some of the best toasties around and they serve a variety of cakes to indulge yourself with.

Looked like it would be better than it was. Had a bacon and egg roll which wasn’t great. Had a black coffee with pouring cream (separate). Didn’t like the coffee. Was expensive for what I received. So not value for money in my opinion, considering other places very close by offer full breakfasts portions (including toast) for a similar price to their roll with bacon and egg. Other food and drinks may very well be better. This is based on what I had only.

Came here for lunch with friends. They ordered toasties which they said tasted good, and I ordered The Full bowl which was extremely tasty, and different. Friends had tea and I had a decaf latte which was tasty. Service wasn’t quick but it was lucky we had time for a nice leisurely lunch. We didn’t get any cakes but they looked delicious. Everything was sourced locally which was great to see. Definitely recommend.

A quiet but friendly place. Really good egg bowl vegetarian options - excellent taste balance with the salsa / pickled slaw. Super smoothies, good coffee and muffin too. Nice walk after along the riverbank. Sunday morning sorted!

Went for a late lunch, had the toastie & one of the bowls (there were two of us I hasten to add!). Both were excellent. Didn't have room for the French toast special alas, despite going for a two walk round town & returning later. But managed a coffee & hot chocolate on that second visit. Again both were excellent & a lovely atmosphere too.

This is the place for people who like good coffee, good tea and homemade cakes. There is also a range of specially prepared salads, sandwiches and other savory items available for those after breakfast or lunch. The staff are super excellent.

I've grabbed lunch and coffee quite a few times from here and I have to say firstly the staff are very welcoming and friendly. On the occasions I've had my dog with me they've been great with her too! The toasties, coffee and french toast are all really good and everyone in my family enjoys them. However, and I did think about not mentioning these so they remained more of a secret....the brownies are exceptionally good and highly recommended

George and Sarah and The Cornwall Place Kitchen Team Thank you to everyone for their hard work preparing a lovely buffet, drinks, and perfect room hire, for our Grandad's/Father’s memorial lunch. Sadly he would have loved to be there with us, there were even leather armchairs! It was such an enjoyable afternoon. The Lewis family

There's no denying that there is an excellent choice of cheese, wines and other foods here. I loved it when it also operated as a wine bar. I've been to many like it in mainland Europe and love the concept but haven't found many in the UK so it was quite a rare find. Unfortunately it's now just a wine and cheese shop.

This pub restaurant came highly recommended by the owner of the local shooting ground and now I recommend it to you. My wife and I called in early afternoon on 20 March 2025 and we were immediately made to feel very welcome. A good selection of ales and an even better selection of great food. We ate well; jumbo prawns and a fine risotto, which were plentiful and delicious. Conor, the front of house man and Sean The Chef certainly know how to please their clientele. Thank you fellas, great to meet you and we’ll be back quite soon, with friends, to sample more of your great food and hospitality! ATB, John Cummins.

The food here is really nice, big portions and a lot of vegan options on the menu. The chef or owner came to talk to us about the vegan menu and how they can improve it since it is pretty new. So that was a nice personal touch. Although our service was pretty poor. We came for Sunday lunch and rang ahead to check if the vegan menu was still available on Sundays and it was. But when we arrived we were told that only the “main items” were available and the rest of the meal was not available and would be replaced with the roast potatoes & veg from the Sunday lunch menu. i.e. the burger and chips would not come with chips and would have roast potatoes & veg instead. It’s not what we were told when we phoned ahead which is annoying. It got a bit tense with our server who said “it’s still the same main dishes on the menu so it’s basically the same.” We replied “well it’s not really the same when you substitute half the meal for something else” to which she bluntly replied “well it is the same”. After all that when our food came, half the meals came with roast potatoes & veg and half came with the specified sides from the menu. One of us ordered the vegan Fish and Chips and someone else had the Winter One Pan which came exactly as described, not a roast potato in sight! In fact the winter one pan came with mash and peas. But someone else ordered the lasagne which did come with roast potatoes & veg instead of the garlic bread & salad listed on the menu. So not very happy about that, definitely seems to be a mix up between the kitchen and the servers, and the attitude from the server made it feel like an unwelcome atmosphere and that we were an inconvenience. My advice is don’t go on a Sunday, i’m sure if we went during the week (and had a different server) we could have avoided all of that and had a much better meal.
