During a layover in Manchester, my girlfriend and I stumbled upon a cozy, authentic pub that felt straight out of a classic British film. The warm lighting, wooden interiors, and friendly locals created the perfect English vibe. With a pint of Guinness in hand, we genuinely felt like part of the local community. It’s a must-visit for anyone wanting a real taste of English pub culture!

Hired function room for 18th birthday party. Great atmosphere, friendly staff who went above and beyond especially Rick and becky. Highly recommended and will be definitely be back again to book next party! Thank you everyone.

hired the function room for my mums 60th birthday. the room was clean and big enough for plenty of people. friendly helpful staff and room very affordable. would definitely recommend and will use the room again

Popped in whilst visiting a friend on my birthday & bumped into an old work colleague & friend of mine Sara! She’s working in the right place as she’s really lively & great with the locals. Absolutely made my visit that more enjoyable & I know she’s regular on the Karaoke too, Always the entertainer!. Great place for private events too plus socialising in the main pub with pool table in another room. Also decent seating outside for when the suns out.

A fantastic range of drinks to choose from and usually good offers on. Always clean and a relaxed atmosphere. Everyone’s always welcoming and friendly especially Sara who works behind the bar

We recently had a 40th birthday party at the Cornishman pub. The bar staff were very helpful and friendly, the DJ James was brilliant! Had us all joining in and created a great atmosphere throughout.. the buffet was amazing.. plenty to go around and everyone enjoyed it.. was easy to book the room and Trish and staff were very helpful.. thank you! We have some great memories to look back on and photos. 😃

This is my local been coming for years upon years.. brilliant staff the lovley saz often brightens the day with her funny side :) the djs they have in here are buzzing mint place to be!

This is my local pub and it's a great pub to have so close to home. Always have a good night and the bar staff are amazing. Sara who is a local celebrity always makes sure her customers have a great time, she's a part of the furniture. I will be celebrating my 50th in here next week. Keep up the good work guys

Been here on a number of occasions for party’s and nights out with friends atmosphere is great very friendly bar staff a lovely lady called Sara was very helpful in helping me decide my drink tequila rose and my flavoured gin and tonic then when I came back to the bar she remembered the order exceedingly great service

We had my daughters 18th in there function room, amazing and friendly staff, communication with Trish from booking onwards was easy, straightforward and very friendly, overall everything way on point, will definitely be using again ✨️

I don't drink so visiting pubs doesn't happen often, I found the staff very friendly especially Sara who was very supportive and offered the non alcoholic drinks they had to offer. I would highly recommend a visit to this pub I will definitely be going again.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Monday club I love always. But I swear this last Monday 22nd July was the best in ages. Becky & Rick & our Keosk Keith absolutely smashed it. Were all a family and I love that everyone is always welcome x

Highly recommend to any one of any age hired the function room for a birthday party from first messages response was clear an fast room was clean tidy spacious was very obvious what I could couldn’t do bar staff was fantastic with guest children nothing was to much landlord pop in to check all was ok prior to event access to room was easy landlady kept me up to date we was made to feel at ease & welcome everything ran so smoothly we will definitely be booking future events occasions here and I’d highly recommend to any one for any event occasion nothing was to much so thank you to Trish & her team for all your hard work we had a brilliant night

Had my daughters 18th party last night, staff was polite and friendly, was able to get in early and dress the room, and be in and out all day, very responsive to messages

Absolutely not happy, should gave been Monday club but totally disappointed karaoke didn't last and dj playing pool all night not good bar staff totally dim didn't have a clue.

IGenuine olde world charm pub. Few minutes stroll from T1 Manchester, via a pedestrian walkway but a million miles away from prices and pretentiousness of airport. Welcoming locals, friendly staff, comfy seating...2 pints for under 7 quid, pool table, nice beer garden.

We held my sons 18th Birthday party here and we had a great night, function room has plenty of seating with a good sized dance floor. Staff were great and friendly too. We brought our own food but used their DJ who played a good range of music. My son had the best night

Held a 50th party in the Function Room recently and had an amazing night. Room was spacious with a great dance floor, staff were outstanding and couldn’t do enough for us. DJ organised by the Cornishman was brilliant. Also put us in touch with the caterer who did an outstanding job. Highly recommend.

I booked the cornishman pub’s function room and Dj last night for my daughter’s 18th birthday. The room was clean and loads or room. The staff was amazing very friendly and the DJ was fantastic he had everyone up dancing. It was a great night and my daughter had a great night. I would definitely recommend this room to friends and family.

Its not a bad place, a bit rough some nights but its ok so long as you are with the right crowd.....

Best pub around. Trish and Mike are the best landlords around, and all the Bar staff are always the most helpful and welcoming 😀 they make such an effort to make new and old customers have a good time. From coming with my parents from a tot to coming here most weeks now nothing has changed. Have the best Xmas and new year and come and join them in the new year 🎉 love lexy xxxx

Have used this function room for various family occasions.Lovely function room and has always been spotless.Staff are friendly and helpful and the room is a fair size.Messages and queries replied to promptly.Reasonably priced.Plenty of parking to rear.Would highly recommend.

I had my 18th party here on Saturday and I honestly appreciate all the staff participating and helping us out with food,directions and they made sure we had a good night Thank you so much and I would recommend hiring the function room here!! Also the dj Ross was amazing , he also let me pick a variety of songs and had us all dancing so thank you so much!!

Good location, great hosts.Great staff and overall good service. I attended a funeral in the Function room, and couldn't fault the service. If your looking to book a function I would certainly recommend as from start to finish the staff couldn't do enough for us and looked after us very well whilst there.

Great night for my niece's 18th Birthday here last Saturday. Really lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean room. Decent selection of drinks. Truly excellent buffet that was recommended by the venue. All very reasonably priced. Will definitely be booking for future family parties.

We hosted our daughter’s baby shower in there function room, size was just right for the amount invited, we where able to get in quite early to set everything up, staff where very accommodating and quick to serve, thanks for a wonderful evening

From my experience its a great pub with a nice atmosphere. The staff and pub manager are very professional and its clear they know how to do their job!!

Function room good size for our function the staff were very friendly and helpful all evening and the DJ was excellent a the landlady was excellent with regards to payments for the function room and the use of the kitchen for food storing before the function

Stopped by The Cornishman just to ask for directions and met a delightful, friendly group of local regulars including Martin, Baz (Sarah), Darrin, and their friend whose name I didn’t hear clearly but who was interesting and very chivalrous. He walked me all the way to my accommodations to ensure I made it safely. Instead of being stressed, I had a fun time! Thanks everyone!

Best pub & function room i have ever hired / been in. The staff are lovely and the room is always a clean to a very high standard! I wouldn’t use any other function room/pub for events :)

The best pub. Spend more time here than what I do at home. Land lord thinks he's a babe and the wifes never here 🤣🤣 joking. Best people ever. Cafe at the back is absolutely banging food. Nanna Pat makes the best fry up. Monday club. Free pool on a Tuesday and Saturday gotta be one of the best nights locally. Definitely worth a visit x

Pub opened early for 2 coach loads of people going to Wembley and despite them putting up St Georges day decorations they stopped and served us all breakfast and drinks, went out of their way to see us all off happy and with full bellies, thanks guys xx

Mike and his team hosted our mums wake yesterday and they were wonderful. Everything was perfect, the room was just right and the service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them. One of the few pubs left in Wythenshawe and it is a hidden gem.
