Cornhill Oatcakes in Stoke-on-Trent

The staff are rude They barely speak. Unless you are a "work person" with a giant order. Then it muffles a few words. The oatcake I ordered was extremely dry, burnt at the edges, no juicy tomatoes. Bacon overdone. I had two mushrooms, lucky me! I didn't order mushrooms. The blonde girl was constantly on her phone. And nearly gave me a drink I didn't order. It's a @hit show!!!

due to where I live, I have to buy them from my local butcher, not directly from the shop. In my mind, they are the most perfect oatcake you can buy. Not too thick, not wafer thin. Just fantastic. A good taste and coated with a nice Cheshire Cheese, just mouth-wateringly delicious. Oh, not forgetting the "blob" of tomato sauce . . . Only this week, my newly discovered American Family have taken to them and like them very much. PERFECT.

Have tried quite a few different items from here and have never been disappointed. The oatcakes and pikelets are delicious, the home made cakes are unreal, try the cherry cream puffs! The different flavoured home made sausage rolls were bloody lovely and the cornbeef pasties....... jeebus!! Give it a go!

This haa certainly got to be the best oatcakes I have ever had! Every time I visited this place I have tried something new and me and my partner are yet to be disappointed.

Best Oatcakes ever. Lovely and thin, very large. Just right for a couple of rashers with cheese. Lovely pikets too, toasted with a slither of butter and jam. What more does a Stokie need for the weekend. Very clean well presented shop with friendly helpful staff. Been coming to this shop through its various owners since childhood. These are the best ever products. Easy access and plenty of parking. Would recommend to everyone!

Second visit here, because the visit l found the oatcakes to be absolutely gorgeous,, friendly staff, good price and all in all a fantastic product, we had ours with cheese and smoked bacon. Owners are a lovely couple, down to earth genuine folk who you feel comfortable with and who enjoy a good laugh, definitely making it my local on a weekend now.

Best in stoke in my opinion, gotta try their filled ones too, bacon and cheese are awesome!!!! They even make cakes!!

One of the best oatcake shops in Stoke-on-Trent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is a wide selection of warm and cold food for either breakfast or dinner at very reasonable prices. The cakes are to die for we had four different ones and all loved them.

This is my favourite oatcake shop in the area and makes superior oatcakes. I typically go in for oatcakes and pikelets to take home, but i'm often tempted by the other cakes the bakery produces (the vanilla slices are yummy). The bakery also does a large menu of take out breakfast oatcakes, which always appear to be popular.
