Living locally the corner house hotel is great place to meet and get a coffee. They also have a very nice selection of cakes and tray bakes. The staff are lovely and helpful.

A quiet hotel with very good breakfasts. A bit far from the metro, but not too much, just a short 15-minute walk. Clean and tidy.

Staff were attentive and efficient. Friendly and helpful. Room was just adequate but clean . Blind didn't stay up,no curtains to block out light, bed uncomfortable and en suite very tight. Sleep impossible due to terrible thumps from darts night in pub below till 11.15 pm. No staff in hotel after 10pm to assist, An emergency number provided. Sleep disturbed early morning by traffic noise. The whole hotel needs a complete refurbishment. Cosy traditional breakfast room, though with open fire was a plus. Tasty vegetarian breakfast. Good choices on breakfast menu and well cooked/presented. No meals at night but open to public daily for breakfast and light lunches. 12 minute walk from railstation. On main street in town next to shops and restaurants. Only hotel in town. Late checkout 11am.

My local cafe. Always great service and delicious food. All home made. I especially enjoy their soup. Nice location, up a set of stairs, as you can see the high street.

Not a bad stay.. usually stay in loads of hotels and this is a relatively good one. Well priced and good parking. Few decent pubs and restaurants around. Problems with the heating and TV connections, but expertly dealt with by the reception staff.. Only concern is that there is no onsite staff after 10PM..

Yet another fantastic meal, this time on the Friday in March BOGOFF burger deal. Food is faultless, plentiful, service is always good and atmosphere was lovely with the mood lighting. Steak burger with choice of 3 toppings ( photo shows toppings of cheese, haggis and fried egg and the other is cheese, bacon and fried onions) good selection of toppings and a sauce of your own choice too. Even without the BOGOFF deal it is good value for money Finished off with a lovely pint colada cheesecake

The Anchor Hotel is a great place for food and drinks. The views of the Solway Bay are to die for! It was Easter Sunday, and the sun was shining. We sat outside enjoying a beef roast dinner. The beef melted in your mouth. The yorkshire puddings were spot on. Red wine accompanied my roast dinner. My partner drank Peroni. The staff were lovely. The place was popular with families, couples, and walkers. It was a dog friendly place. The atmosphere was good. Parking was easy. We had an enjoyable day in beautiful Kippford.
