Cork & Crust in Bromsgrove

I love eating at this restaurant. It has a great atmosphere excellent service, and the food just keeps getting better and better. The waiting staff are always warm and friendly, and Lloris, the restaurant manager, is always very welcoming and goes out of his way to make each visit perfect. The food choices on the new menu are delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Also, they offer something different to other restaurants/pubs in the area while retaining some old favourites. The Sunday lunch is fantastic and just keeps getting better.

My wife I visited C&C to try out the new menu. Which is very exciting read and it took much deliberation to choose a starter and main. I opted for the Trout Tartar and Venison while my wife chose Confit Duck and Pork. The starters were superb. My Trout was amazing full of flavour and textures. I also had a sample of the duck which was cooked to perfection. Wow we thought let’s move to the mains. Once again the chefs at C&C did a fabulous job. The plates were beautifully presented and I am pleased to say there were great flavours to back it up. So hats off to all for the bravery in the menu and for delivering quality food presented in a lovely way. As a foot note a big thanks to all front of house too who were once again at their very best.

A great local restaurant, food great, service good, excellent wine list at reasonable prices. Sunday lunch is amazing!!

Went for Sunday Lunch 6th October. Food, service & atmosphere was excellent. Can say honestly it was the best Sunday lunch at a restaurant in a long time & will surely be back. Have eaten here before for their Italian food on several occasions which also is very good. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️‘s all the way.

As a regular customer I wanted to thank the team at Cork and Crust for a wonderful evening. Lloris the restaurant manager always make us feel welcome. The staff at front of house were attentive and a smile for everyone. Now the food. I had the house special King prawns with linguine pasta which was Outstanding and really fabulous. I’m the first to offer criticism when a bad evening but I would really recommend Cork and Crust. Ambiance 8 Service 9 Food 10 Price 8

The food was fantastic, but unfortunately, the service let it down. We waited over 20 minutes after our main meal to be asked if we wanted a dessert, and when we said we did, we waited yet another what seemed like an age before we decided to pay and leave.

Haven’t been for a while and we all said how good it was to be back. So much we went twice in one week. The team are your friendly and welcoming. The food menu along with the daily specials have a great variety and reasonably priced. Well done “ Team Cork and Crust” See you soon

The food was fine, but quite expensive. I can’t complain about the service either, unhurried but gave us time to talk and enjoy our cocktails. My big problem was the discomfort of perching on those high chairs. For me it seems ageist, I am short and in my 70’s so struggled to get on these silly chairs, then end up in a precarious position. How do wheelchair users eat? Not good.

Our very good friends who live in Barnt Green took us here. We got a wonderful reception, great service and food and even a glass of complimentary limoncello after the meal. The whole experience was superb.

Been to Cork and Crust a few times in the past and loved every minute …. Same that it’s changed! Arrived 5mins before our booking time to be told table wasn’t available right now. Stood around waiting for a while to then be told (very vaguely) there was some sort for mix up with tables. Was eventually seated at the only empty table which was in the doorway, only to be moved 20mins later after a professional footballer and his friend vacated a table for four, bearing in mind there was an empty table for two right next to them!! No apology or explanation was given. Food used to be exceptional but sad to say that this time the quality was definitely lacking. Service was extremely slow with minimal contact from waiting staff in between. Waited ages for drinks, waited ages for food. Acknowledged the manager/owner (I presume) on way out to say thank you and got totally ignored. Such a shame but have to agree with the other recent reviews, we definitely won’t be rushing to go back

Really poor attitude from the waiting staff, cutlery not given for main course, had to ask. Average food, risotto tasted of washing up liquid and big delay between courses, had to ask for drinks and the place wasn’t even busy by the time we were waiting for our main courses. £300 for 4 people not exactly good value either. We will try again but sadly it appears that the other reviews are correct, it’s gone a bit wayward, as the meal we had last year was superb.

Been wanting to come here for ages but it was so disappointing! Waiting on staff were sullen and slow. We had to ask for forks to eat our main with. We had to ask for the dessert menu twice. It wasn’t particularly busy but wait times for food were long. Food was just very average. The best part was dessert which I think was probably bought in rather than made on site. Won’t be in a hurry to return which is a real shame.

Went here for Valentine’s Day and I’ve got to say it was Terrible, apart from being handed a “valentines menu” which was £50 per head and not great, the service was bad and over all felt like I was being ripped off especially for mediocre food. When I booked there was no mention of a different menu - as it wasn’t advertised on the website. Also it was noticeable that the dishes we had were served differently to other tables.

A very disappointing experience. It was my first visit but the friends I was with had all been before and rated it. They don’t any more. We asked to move tables because of the music speaker and noise from the wine fridge. This seemed to be a far greater problem than it needed to be as the restaurant was not busy. We waited nearly an hour for our food to arrive which is just not acceptable. The meals were met with mixed reviews and the tomato and red onion side salad was exceptionally disappointing. Cubed onion and tomatoes with no thought of presentation. The front of house member of staff was lovely but the manager seemed to deliberately ignore us throughout the evening. A return visit is not on the cards!

Went to the Cork and Crust last night, the pizza was delicious, lovely environment and very attentive service. Couldn’t recommend highly enough, they went above and beyond in my view.

The worst experience ever . We took friends for an Italian on Sunday and were told on seating no Italian food available only Sunday lunches . We were not told this when booking . However the table next to us ordered spaghetti . Starters they only had one ( camembert cheese ). Sunday lunch was half a roast chicken that was not cooked inside , roast beef was rare and ice cold . We was told that’s how its comes along with a cold Yorkshire pudding , The Manager was very argumentative and awkward . After several attempts by myself to not make a scene as there was others eating I kept asking for the bill for drinks and we would leave . He constantly was arguing with us and said leave a review and shrugged his shoulders. We would never recommend this place and will also leave comments on FB and local chat groups as the food was so awful and the manager was so rude and argumentative. I’ve since found out the original staff and chef have left and their replacement is 100% not up to the job . This used to be a really great restaurant but I’m afraid Myself or any of my friends will be visiting again

Not been before, didn’t even know it was there. But now I do, I will be revisiting. Staff we friendly, and attentive but not over the top. Menu was enough along with the specials , where you can’t make a choice . If you are into your wine Aman knows a thing or two Great ambience Would recommend And would revisit 5⭐️ from me ..

Absolutely fantastic food, risotto was off the scale, sea bass perfect. Good selection of wines also Lori's makes perfect Negroni. Great service

Visited last night with a friend for the first time! Our overall experience was outstanding! Such a lovely place, service was amazing! Very attentive without being overpowering! Food and drinks were amazing, starters were great portion sizes so really felt good value for money, the quality and freshness of ingredients really showed in the food! Think this place might be my new favourite restaurant

I very rarely moan or give negative reviews on restaurants, but took my other half here for a Birthday treat and was overall disappointed. Firstly, we were put on a table which was literally 3 inches from the next one, total lack of personal space. It took a while for food order to be taken and general service was very slow, we were not asked at any point if we wanted extra drinks after our initial order. I don't mind slower service in the right environment. The place was very loud and echoed, it was hard to have a conversation, even the waitress had to ask for us to repeat the order. Some dishes weren't available which we were made aware of, we were also told the meals on the specials board came with a complimentary side dish. (Most sides were between £4 and £5). We then got told it didn't, and that we had to pay for sides. You need sides as the meal literally comes with lettuce, thus making £29 meals almost £35. We ordered 2 sides to share. Our meals came out, to be told that the one side wasn't available, do we want fries instead? I think we should have been advised of this prior to meals being served. I had to request a menu to have a look and fries were the only suitable one left but by the time they came out I was three quarters through my meal. It was also a very small portion for the price. The waitress was pleasant, and in fairness the food was very nice. however, me and my partner were both bad the following day, the only thing we had the same was the lager and wine. A 10% service charge is automatically added to the bill, so it cost us £125 for our night out in what I felt was a glorified bar, not a restaurant so won't be rushing back.

Had a really lovely meal Thursday evening- staff were all lovely and cheerful. This is definitely not a fast food experience it’s very Italian in a slow your roll, take your time to relax and enjoy yourselves between courses. Had the best Mussels in a very long time and a lovely Chicken Milanese - wine was expensive but above average for sure. Only problem for us was the high chairs. A bit of a struggle getting on and off them and not the most comfortable eating position. If they had a few “normal” height tables we would be dining there a lot!! As it is we will be back to eat outside weather depending of course - but that’s our personal limitations - the style and overall vibe is lovely. Desserts looked amazing but couldn’t manage even to share one after the first two courses. We will definitely trying them next time we go.

Visited on a Saturday night for a birthday and the restaurant was busy with a good atmosphere. The food and drinks were good and service was fine for a busy night. No complaints from our group .

Was glad when this place opened to provide a bit more diversity in the local food scene. The restaurant was noisy and felt a bit crowded but it was a weekend night so probably to be expected. We loved the bruschetta - the tomatoes were amazing. Good choice of wine and dessert too.

Me and my girlfriend had a lovely evening at cork and crust.The food was lovely and presentation was amazing. The service was flawless and the staff was very attentive.we will definitely recommend this place for a lovely evening.

I really wanted to see some improvement in the food !!!! The bruschetta was a disgrace 3 slices of Soda bread with slices of tomoto !!!! No sign of olive oil , herbs garlic ! It was terrible . The lasagne was just ok . Such a lovely place , lovely front of house but the food was awful . Sadly will never go back .
