Cork and Skewer in Harlow

Thoroughly enjoyed & very filling. Only disappointment was that we were not advised there was no grilled ham available for our meze boxes, nor given anything in it's place. But to be fair, it was so filling we struggled to finish it (we ordered an extra skewer each, big mistake lol) & only noticed today while showing family a picture that the ham was missing. All the meat was flavoursome & tender, but sadly my sons chicken was very very dry. We just won't get chicken next time 😁 problem solved. We added 2 spoonfuls of own rice so we could share fries & salad between 2 of the boxes. Absolutely stuffed!

Extremely disappointed for many reasons! Please let me explain…. We’ve been regular customers here for a long time now, the food is good when it’s good but when it’s bad it’s bad, unfortunately there are members of family with food allergies so certain foods here are safe unlike other takeaway places, so this is our safe go to. we usually let the bad slip as we do enjoy the food here, the chips are microwaved, they put chip paper in the bottom of the skewer meals which causes condensation and disintegrates the paper into the actual food….chips or rice mixed with paper 😋 (delicious) We’ve ordered Dolmades before but received see through cabbage versions instead of the vine ones (thanks for choosing my side dish for me 👍) Would have been better to have said you’ve run out and there is another option so would it be ok… and then let the paying customers decide if they want cabbage or not??? Another occasion was a side we received which contained small shattered plastic pieces from the lid of the container within the food!! Unfortunately the last straw for us tonight was a mess up with our order, a seemingly elderly sounding woman abruptly answered the phone as she would a pal, no initial indication of the restaurant, we explained the order was with rice on one of the dishes and not chips, she then proceeded to huff and puff… clearly expressing the inconvenience we’ve just caused her (let’s remember we’re paying customers here and we’ve paid for your food and the CORRECT food yes) After all the huffing and puffing she said it’ll be about 30mins wait to resend out a bowl of rice (🤪) we agreed to this and thanked her but then here comes the perfect moment….. she hangs up… no apologies or thank you for your understanding or even better a polite goodbye…. Absolutely shocking service! We’re take our money elsewhere from here onward, no one deserves to be spoken to or treated in this manner especially not from a place we pay good money to and a service provider that is supposed to strive to keep their customers and keep them happy, after all we the paying customers are the ones that keep your business going isn’t it!! I have to add also that the delivery guys are outstanding, especially jack he is a top guy 👍 they’ve always been polite and friendly with every delivery, they deserve a pay rise especially if they’re having staff talking to them the way they talk to paying customers too… I can imagine so! Adios c&s you’ve successfully lost custom 🫡

Ordered delivery last Friday for 10 people told food would be an hour! 1 hour 15 minutes food still not with us phoned told food was just a couple of minutes away! 10 minutes later called again told they were in our road about to deliver, 10 minutes later food delivered! 👏🏼 Quickly checked order noticed no cans of drinks caught driver he said he hadn’t been given any! Checking food one whole meal was also missing, called shop 30 minutes wait for replacement so got refund! Then came the biggest shock! Food was awful! Chicken was overcooked hard and dry, chips were wet and soggy, burgers hard and dry and halloumi burnt beyond recognition! Not one good meal and it cost in excess of £110!!! Never again Also no apology or compensation

Very disappointed at the amount of food for the price. One positive is that the lamb was well cooked. The extra chicken skewer was very dry (probably breast) and was not pleasant. Will not be ordering from here again as definitely not vfm.

Great Customer service!! Ordered for the first time on Monday evening, called over the phone wasn’t sure on what to order spoke to a very pleasant lady who helped me order. Very friendly and patient amazing customer service. To top it off the food was also amazing! highly recommended. I will definitely be ordering again.

After waiting 1hr and 20 minuites Food arrived cold and soggy, we asked for a refund as the food was absolutely disgusting. We was told that they will have to contact the manager to ask as they haven’t the authorisation to do that, after taking our food back to the establishment they had told us that a driver is on the way to our house to give us our money back. After waiting 30 minuites no one still came to our address we rang the restaurant again and was told “there has been a change of plan and we are not getting it and we will have to wait until tomorrow to speak to the manager” we then explained we was told by staff that we was getting our refund we was then told “we have no drivers to bring your money back” we then had to go back AGAIN just to get our money back. By far the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Ordered from this restaurant this evening ordered well done chicken wings they have come 1 hour and 20 mins later and the chicken may as well still be alive full of fat not even chicken must be by far the worst place I have ever ordered from them to call the restaurant and for the lady tell me their isn't no manager so she cannot issue a refund to me !!!! And i have to wait until tomorrow to speak to a manager absolutely disgraceful!!

Waited over a hour for my food. Food was rank lamb wad so hard chicken was sloppy Rice was hard all the meat was very salty. Tried to call to ask for a refund or at least just let them no the food wasnt edible and they never answered ther phone 4/5 times trying to get hold of someone and nothing.

To be fair most of the negative reviews are unfair. Try the ultimate wrap and tell me it's not damn tasty! Add some loukoumades and you'll be set for desert.

I was very hungry and I asked my partner if he could grab me something from here as I was yet to try this place. He got me chips, bbq chicken wrap and rice for himself. The chips were decent, fresh and hot however the wrap was awful. The chicken itself wasn’t bad.. it was the sauce they used, it tasted like it had 10 bags of sugar in it! Felt more like a dessert than dinner. Couldn’t eat it. In the end I had to remove the chicken from the wrap so I wouldn’t have so much of this sauce they used. Not even sure if it were bbq as tasted nothing like it. Another thing we weren’t happy with was he ordered the cheesy spicy chips and we only received plain chips which he only noticed once he had got home and opened the bag. On top of it, he said it had cost £18 something ! Which I found very pricy for what we had received. Overall I don’t think I would order from here again.

Looks okay taste bad Halloumi taste really cheesy and weird it tasted more like mature chedda, I’m sorry but that’s the worse calamari I’ve ever had!!, all the meat is very bland over all very disappointed nicest things on the plate is the sweet potato fries and pitta bread .

Food is generally good and consistant. Up until now I have ordered from here 1-2 times per week as the food is fresh and healthy. Unfortunately this evening I had to endure a very unpleasant conversation while trying to place an order for delivery. I placed an order for an exact meal that I had last week which come to £13.95 but this week was £20.95 quite a considerable jump. When questioning the price I was told do you want the food or not! I then explained I do but why has the price gone up I paid £7 less last week? The lady taking the order carried on very unprofessionally telling me that she was not a liar and do I want the food or not. After speaking to the manager who did apologise albeit did not seem very sincere, she was quire happy to let go of the repeat custom that I have giving them from the moment they opened their doors some years back. Very disappointed as the food is nice. But after that phone call I will not be spending my money with them again. The 1 star review does not reflect the quality of the food only the poor customer service and very rude phone call. I hate to speak ill of a business especially when they rely on custom more than ever during covid but there was just no flavour in the meat and it was dry. You have to at least use some salt....I gave it to the dog. The bulgar wheat had no flavour either. Also the loukoumades.....if I'm polite I will say not good. As a Greek person I was really expecting a bit more taste. I would happily give some tips if they are required. So disappointing and will not order again unless things change drastically.

Best gyros in fact kebabs and meze I’ve tasted especially in Harlow been looking for a decent kebab place and find it, I would definitely recommend them

If you actually know what Greek food is don't go here . Extremely unauthentic Greek Food. We ordered meze for two. Both pork and chicken were extremely dry. So was lunza. The salad was good but really can you get salad wrong!?! Looked amazing and was so excited to have a Greek takeaway near me. Now I'm just disappointed and much lighter in pocket.

Amazing, I'm gluten intolerant and the staff always recommend what I can have or not, had one mis hap with beetroot in a jar, and they quickly got fresh for me , I fancied a mezze box and they told me what I couldn't have, this is the only take away I can be sure has my back and I've never felt ill from it.

Thoroughly enjoy the mezze sharing box. Had it a few times and a nice variety of meat topped off with delicious salad, bread, sauces and halloumi.

Asked for a pork kebab this evening, to be given a pork yeros. Would have gone back but we already started driving home. Not only was the yeros and chips old and cold, the food was discusting. It's not the right meat to even put in a pork yeros! Salad was very old. The worse and most unauthentic Greek restaurant ever. STAY AWAY!

Went to an entertainment night here. Food was delicious. Drinks were reasonable and we had a fantastic night. Loved it.

Over priced and unorganised. The chicken was just watery and lacked in flavour. It even looked undercooked. The "mini mezze" is an insult to any mezze ever made. Minimal food and the calamari, although cooked properly, should be included in ANY AND ALL mezze which it wasnt for my experience and they charged me so much just for a side dish of calamari. I wouldnt reccomend coming to this restaurant unless you are having something else.

A nice little restaurant in Harlow town centre. They have a delicious new spin off menu and reasonably priced lunch menu. The food all ways taste nice and fresh. I have never been disappointed by the food here. I have been here many of occasions my wife also enjoys the food here too. The main problem is the waiting time for your food. Don't expect a quick service. I had to wait nearly an hour for my food. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Awful staff food bone dry and not the right order. When my partner called up to let them know that we had been delivered the wrong food, we was told that we are after something for nothing !!! No mate we just want the food we ordered. Will never recommend this place or order food from here again.

So I ordered a lamb wrap...this is the description on the website : WrapsFreshly Grilled & Wrapped with Tomato, Onion & Lettuce with Your Choice Of Tzatziki, Garlic Mayonnaise Or Chilli Sauce. I got just lamb cubes in a wrap...nothing else...all dry and borring..never ever again from them!!!! They were very good before..now very dissatisfied...probably depends who makes the food...the shift chef...Wish I could post a picture here...

Absolutely poor quantities. Ordered food and was disappointed by the amount. Nothing there to eat and moussaka didn't seem fresh but just microwaved. Would not recommend to anyone.

Love coming here, the food is fab and good value for your money. Staff are friendly and accommodating to suit your needs. They are now offering cocktail and booking for large parties. So even though you don't want food, call in for a cocktail or two.

Place had no heating and waited 2 hours for our food will not be visiting again.

Ordered a takeaway. 1st time we've eaten from there and definitely wont be the last. It was beautiful, the lamb was gorgeous and everything seasoned perfectly!

Good quality food Mediterranean and English. Limited menu but good choices, nicely cooked and presented. Good place to have fish, battered or grilled. All food cooked to order, so a bit of a wait. Reasonable priced. Selection of wines, cocktails, draft Peroni lager as well as tea and coffee. Worth a visit.

I share a meze with my brother. The hallumi came out near perfect, not chewy at all. The homemade bread was delicious. Calamari was not over cooked. Kebabs had a lovely flavour from the carcoal. Smoked had very nice and the sausage was more peppery than other places I have been which I actually prefered. I did miss humus with the meal but that's me. A surprising gem in Harlow. Very enjoyable.

Scampi and chips good value. Very nice tartar sauce as an accompaniment.

Arrogant staff, soggy food . And forgot sauces, Hence will not be returning!
