Corby Conservative Club in Corby

My wife and I visited the Club for Sunday Lunch on 06th June 2021. We were very impressed with the hearty welcome of the staff and the way we were treated in general. After reviewing the comprehensive Luncheon Menu I had the traditional Roast Beef and Y/Pudding and my wife had the Steak and Ale Pie. The meals were very good and presented as well as any first class Restaurant. All the ingredients were cooked perfectly to our liking. The drinks we ordered were very reasonably priced,as was the menu meals and deserts. will be visiting again for sure very soon. We were so full and satisfied we could not handle dessert. Rump steak with stilton sauce, chips side salad and onion rings .Delicious. Excellent service in comfortable and modern surroundings. Our first meal out - or I mean indoors -this year. Table service was excellent. Thank you to the staff at Corby Cons, you made us feel very welcome.

Had a lovely meal as always, all of the table of 5 enjoyed the Sunday roast the Yorkshire pudding is somethimg else and the mac and cheese for my fussy son was a thumbs up from him. Starter of prawns was lovely, also the battered haggis starter with mustard mayo was lovely. Server Andrea was very attentive especially accommodating to our son and made him up a special dessert, very friendly and polite. Definitely highly recommended 👌 Will be back soon.

went this week for sunday lunch as always enjoyed previously. not as good as it used to be roasties undercooked and the meal was only just warm. my daughter had the same the previous week.

i went with my partner for sunday lunch and was given a nice table , the food was delicious and the service excellent, have been on 3 occasions now and will continue to do sundays on a regular basis.

Having heard very mixed reviews really wasn't sure what to expect but this small but still spacious restaurant suituated within the Conservative Club is away from the main bar and well presented. Nice varied menu,extremely well presented tasty food and a very reasonable price. Staff informative and friendly - well worth a visit.

Excellent food and service, very clean dining room and toilets. Staff very attentive. Highly recommended this place.

Have been to eat here a number of times, yet to have an average meal at worst it was a VERY GOOD meal. You don’t have to be a member to go here for a meal!!!!!! Staff are excellent chef will come and talk, manager is brilliant: Thank you for the food and service so far.

Tried to join some friend for a quick catch up on New Years Day but was refused entry. “No non members after 6pm” But it’s 5:55. “I don’t care!” Very rude and not at all festive. I won’t bother ever again. Zero stars.

Today we visited our local comer restaurant at the con club...as usual we were welcomed by moana alovely lady.we had a couple of drinks. And a fabulous meal. I would definitely recommend the steak n ale pie,with horseradish mash. It's to die for.... j. Turner

A surprise birthday party for a family member- the staff were accommodating to the increasing number of guests and greeted us cheerfully upon our arrival. Andrea, a member of staff, sat us down explaining all that was on the menu and the various options. We all Ordered a mixed meat Sunday lunch and oh my goodness it was huge. There were fresh vegetables, an amazing Yorkshire pudding and beautiful quality meats. Then came the huge puddings that were simply scrumptious. We had a fantastic lunch, great quality, great value for money and wonderful attentive staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Just had lunch at the comer restaurant, at the con club corby. Fantastic food . Chef was so nice .nothing was too much trouble. From the lovely lady who welcomed us when we arrived. Will definitely return very soon. We ate far too much .....

We have eaten here many times and always had good food and service.Last night our meal was absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly, but not obtrusive.

We always receive a warm welcome , IF they can find us a table , if not we can always sit in the bar and have great roast meal, always a good choice , their Yorkshire puddings are famous now . But they have never thought of serving it ( as the do in Yorkshire ) as a starter with gravy , or even a pudding too.. We just love to go there for our Sunday roast at the club Youi do not need tp be a member to dine there

Visited with family for lunch on Sunday, 7 of us all left full and happy, staff really nice and accommodating.

My family and I had our lunch here, it was our first visit but definitely not our last.

Came down for dinner, the food was absolutely delightful! The service excellent! Would definitely recommend to anybody!

Me and my husband took our 3 kids for Sunday lunch. It’s recommneded you book as it’s busy and quite small. The service was great, really friendly and efficient. We ordered adult roast dinners for myself and husband and kids roast dinners for the kids who are 6,10,12. Usually the older two kids would have an adult meal but it’s not needed here as the portions are so generous. The meals were gorgeous! Really lovely food can’t fault any of it , so tasty. We also had puddings which were all absolutely delicious. Everything is very well priced too. Would not hesitate to recommend and we will be back again very soon to sample more of the menu !

Hadn’t been for a while but decided to go for the Sunday lunch again. Food still of excellent quality and taste. There are only two or three places I would not hesitate to recommend for the quality and this one tops the list. Noticeably busier since my last visit, glad I booked in! Nothing is too much trouble for the attentive but not imposing waiting staff. Not a carvery but plated meals with separate accompanying vegetables which for me works great. Won’t leave it so long the next time!

Came out for a family meal and were very impressed at the attentive service. I ordered the soup of the day, which was homemade cream of tomato and basil, which was a great start to the meal. I then ordered the pizza, which gets better every time I come here. I also ordered a desert, a daim bar cake with cream, which was presented beautifully (and was so mouth watering I couldn’t stop myself from eating it, hence the lack of a picture).

Myself and daughter came for an evening meal, treated by friendly staff. There was no rush in ordering from a great menu. I ordered the black pudding tower starter and the 10oz gammon from the grill menu. Portions were great and the food looked and tasted amazing. I was very surprised when I got the bill as it’s worth more than the price.

Wow amazing Sunday lunch. Visited here for my dads 80th birthday and I was not disappointed the Sunday lunch was just fab the service and friendliness of staff made this a very special day for my dad and the family. Once again i would like to say a big thank you for making this such a special day. Hope to see you soon.

Open to non members for lunch and evening meals, the food here is amazing and well prepared. Nice atmosphere and great value deals. Always remember to book in advance at weekends as they get very busy, but even when full the service is great and there are no delays in getting your meals.

We decided the Con Club would be our choice for lunch. What a great choice the Comer has a menu for all budgets

Called in for mid-week meal and decided to go a la Carte instead of one of the Specials, which also looked appealing, and was not disappointed. I had steak and my wife had fish, both meals were excellent. Friendly service and nice surroundings. Would recommend and will be back.

Brilliant price. Excellent value for money. Could not eat it all. Piping hot food and frienly staff. Had the Sunday lunch. Glad i did not have starters. Had no space for pudding. I recomend. Book before hand as they are busy.

Wanted to have a family meal out and not to worry about driving the car We booked up for a Saturday evening the meal was not a disappointment from the starters through to the desserts they all where excellent in taste and in service. and all at a very fair price as the food is not your average pub restaurant fare. so give it a go you will not be disappointed

Visited here once in September then again Friday, and both times the food was amazing.

We have been here for Sunday lunch on many occasions. Yesterday was our most recent visit. There were 7 of us for lunch in a packed restaurant. They had to turn people away as it is so popular. We had starters, mains and pudding. There is a lovely and varied choice of all courses and the food is absolutely beautiful. We eat out frequently, and there is nowhere that compares to here for Sunday dinner. Piping hot food and a great choice of vegetables, and all priced really reasonably. Mona looked after us, and despite it being really busy, service was great. There is also a great atmosphere here- try it, you won't be disappointed!

Just been to the conservative club to celebrate my in laws 60 year wedding anniversary 26+ the kids for a sit down meal , just top class , the room had been setup in a high standard special thanks to all the staff for making the day very special , the food was perfect no complaints hot and tasty and the service was brilliant quick and very friendly , I can’t say enough to say what a great day and would highly recommend the conservative club

Came here by chance for Sunday lunch as where we had planned was full, would definitely return, pleasant staff, good portions, very well cooked food. Lovely puddings too, and a very good price we thought for 6 of us.

Good food, plenty to eat, well cooked and presented. Never had a bad meal here. Advisable to book, but we have also turned up on spec and been able to get a table.

We recently had the pleasure of having dinner at this club. The food was lovely and the service was very efficient.

Great for socialising with friendly staff. Food is up there with the best. Great entertainment and definitely worth while being a member.

Mi marido y yo nos detuvimos en la oportunidad que podíamos conseguir el almuerzo del domingo, ya que era el restaurante no estaba demasiado concurrido. Comimos el menú de almuerzo del domingo, puede tener 1, 2 o 3 campos, y los precios son muy razonables. Los alimentos es de excelente calidad y las porciones son de un buen tamaño. Usted puede elegir entre carne asada, cordero, cerdo y pavo, y hay una opción vegetariana. Junto con la comida "chapada" también te dan 2 platos de verduras y salsa extra. La comida es realmente precioso es preparado y servido muy bien, pero si no tengo una preferencia en cuanto a cómo su carne estaba cocinada que pueden ser atendidos. Realmente no dudaría en recomendar este lugar para disfrutar de una comida es encantador y limpio y todo el personal es muy educado y amable.

Yo y mi esposa donde difícil encontrar un lugar para comer el domingo, como en todas partes fuimos estaba lleno, mi esposa sugirió el club acondicionado, y sin ninguna duda, en mi opinión, por el precio, calidad y cantidad, es el mejor en Corby.

Having had lots of chefs over the years the present chefs team are excellent. Ingredients first class and local sources price reasonable all in all very good food and choice

16 of us descended on the Comer Restaurant Corby Conservative Club last Sunday. You can choose a plated choice of roast meats: turkey, beef, lamb, gammon or all four! Each of us had a variety of meats all beautifully presented with succulent meats. Accompanying vegetables are plentiful. Restaurant was quite busy as it usually is on a Sunday. Service was impeccable by all the waiting staff and the bar servers. Reasonably priced as well, costing around £13 per head which included a scrumptious dessert. Must try the midweek specials sometime which change each week. Overall a wonderful eating experience thoroughly enjoyed by all concerned including birthday boy! Well done Corby Conservative Club, thank you!

We came here for Sunday dinner and the food was amazing probably the best roast I've had in a long time.We went for lunch early so there was only 3 of us in there and unfortunately the service was very slow. Once we had eaten we waited ages for our table to be cleared even though we were the only people in there and there were 2 waitresses. Once the table was cleared and we asked for the bill the waitress never returned to our table it was only when we went to her she advised we had to pay at the bar.Despite the service the food was amazing so I will be returning.

Considering it's now also a restaurant, there wasn't a single waitress or waiter on shift! A young girl was working the entire bar on her own as well as waiting all the tables. Was such a shame and you could see how overworked and stressed out she was getting! The cook wasn't too happy either from the looks of things, and ordering became very time consuming.So sad to see because the restaurant staff are so lovely, and often make our family outings so much more fun because they're so bubbly and chirpy! Thankfully most of us enjoyed our food which made it worthwhile, especially as there was a big party of us and we came at short notice. But get your waiters and waitresses back please! It was far too stressful without them!

Visited again last Sunday for a last minute Sunday Roast with Dad. We both ordered from the roast menu (not a carvery) and had turkey and a mixed meat dinner each. Plates arrived brimming with meat with homemade yorkies, creamed potatoes and stuffing. Served separately were the vegetables, gravy and the most delicious cauliflower cheese. The most excellent meal overall no room for pud though! Highly recommended for all to visit as well as non members. Thank you Corby Conservative Club for a wonderful experience.

The food is great and well priced, the restaurant staff young and charming. Sadly the same could not be said of the bar staff who were surly and unwelcoming. The front door is on a membership fob. As a guest I didn't have one and was ignored on more than one occasion when trying to get back in after taking a phone call. What a shame! Would make me think twice about going back.

This is the 2nd time we have visited first visit on a Friday night today's Saturday afternoon on both occasions the service, value and quality of food is the same. Excellent. Next visit will be for Sunday lunch.

Lovely food and excellent value for money. We booked a table at 6 at night which was past the opening time and they obliged and keep the restaurant open for us. Food was great, service was great and prices very reasonable. Give it a go..... you won't be disappointed!

Without any doubt, this is the best place in Corby to go if you want the best Sunday dinner ever. Absolutely fantastic, you won't be disappointed.

The Con Club has always had good kitchen capabilities and it continues to serve greta value food It is a great place to have a get together with friends and it will not break the bankWorth a visit and i would go again

I was absolutely disgusted with the attitude of the bar management and a couple of the staff. We were told they didn't serve tea or coffee and had to walk to outside to the lounge area to buy a cup of coffee for a pensioner.My party was absolutely fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, however the comment from the managers daughter, "a bit over the top for an 18th" will be duly noted and I will not be recommending the Conservative Club for any future functions, especially my friends and families up and coming 18th's and weddings.

We booked a table for 10 and said it was for a birthday, when we arrived the table was set really lovely and even had balloons which we thought was a special touch, very good portions and everything was so tasty.

Visited on Friday night and decided to have a bite to eat. Could have sat in the inviting restaurant or eat in the bar area. Chose the bar area and opted for a bar meal. Had a steak baguette with onions, mushrooms, coleslaw, fries and a side salad. Large plate of food arrived and the quality was exceptional. Have heard they do a very popular Sunday lunch will have to try that real soon! Thoroughly recommended and would advise booking on a Sunday for what I am told.

The service was friendly and good the food was an especially good menu with lots to choose from, cooked on order. The atmosphere is excellent quiet and enjoyable. It can hold a party for upto 20 people all sitting together more if the tables are seperated. With other seating around. I love the way the food is presented as you eat with your eyes, and it tastes fantastic too.
