We went there after staying overnight in Corby, reviews indicated good value and good food. As vegetarians we were told there was a vegetarian breakfast. Ordered two vegetarian breakfast’s, got them. Surprised there was no vegetarian sausage on the plate but had fried bread,hash browns, potato scone, toast, waffles, mushrooms, beans and egg, free tea and coffee, massive portions. Freshly cooked, great value!!

Tucked away off Studfall avenue is the most amazing little cafe that does the most excellent breakfast around, food is of highest quality, cooked to order, good selection or make your own. Staff very friendly and helpful, bottomless tea and coffee. Highly recommended

A real hidden gem, not on a high street or parade of shops but hidden away on a small industrial area. The food here is always amazing, cooked to perfection and loads of it. Great value and loads of choice; English and Scottish breakfast items all feature on the various sized breakfasts on offer. If you don’t like something then substitute it for something else. The staff are always amazing, friendly, chatty and will look after you. Highly recommend it here; visited today and they have lots of covid secure measures in place to protect their customers and themselves. Superb work guys. Keep it up. See you again soon.

Popped in following a recommendation from a friend. don't be put off by its industrial exterior as inside the team are very welcoming. food is brilliant, the menu is full of variety and Scottish twists. most breakfasts include a refillable tea and they have a wide range of hot drinks, including herbal teas too. it can get very busy, but there's a sheltered outdoor area.

Often visit this place with a number of friends and family and never had 1 single complaint between us. Best place for a decent breakfast at a great price and the added bonus of very friendly staff. Keep up the good work guys! (Kev & Ben)

Me and my family always go here every other day for a fry up and not only is the food great but the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Lovely place to have breakfast no better way to start your day than with a fry up and a smile.

Personally I think it serves every item of the fry up perfectly, even eggs which I’m very fussy about. It’s very clean and has lovey and friendly staff.

Big portions, strong list of additional extras, good ingredients, cheap as chips, free newspapers, bottomless tea/coffee. The great British fry up is getting harder to find, but it’s great to find a place that just nails it with minimal fuss. And the availability of white pudding, fruit pudding, haggis and square sausage as a nod to Corby’s Scottishness is the icing on the cake. Hungry Hossee: take a bow!

My husband has been raving about the breakfast here for ages and we finally got round to going together. I was not disappointed. Exceptionally good value for money and fab service. Simple, freshly cooked food. Can't beat it!

I have visited a few times and never been disappointed, it’s amazing value for what you get. The menu has loads of choice and the portion sizes are big. I usually get the breakfast rolls from here and you can customise them at hardly any extra cost per item. The staff are always friendly and you don’t have to wait too long!

I've ate breakfast here a few times now and I'm going again next month. It's always a fab breakfast and it's cooked to order so it's always fresh and hot. I always have a small cooked breakfast which is actually not that small at all.

The hungry hossee always serves a great quality freshly cooked to order, I have eaten here many times and always receive fantastic customer service, I use this place fairly often but would not call myself a true regular (once every few weeks) but still they remember (unlike me sometimes!) that I want my eggs scrambled and certain changes that I like to make which considering I'm not there every day or even week is pretty impressive! as stated above every item on the breakfast is freshly cooked and nothing is any trouble ate all, Eggs any way you like, bacon cooked to your taste, tomatoes fresh grilled or tinned it's your choice but the thing that makes the actual breakfast different from other places is the Scottish and Irish influence on the menu, you have the traditional English Breakfast ingredients but then you have Potato Scones and Potato Waffles and my favorite bit the Square Lorne Sausage which all really add to the breakfast. Nothing beats it. I have had to stay at many hotels recently and had their cooked breakfasts but none have matched the hungry hossee while many places give you cheaper more cost effective sausages that don't taste great for example the hungry hossee have really good quality sausages like all their ingredients.

La comida era horrible sosa, pedidos equivocados, parte de nuestro grupo, el tener que esperar hasta el resto de nosotros estábamos casi terminado antes de que ella consiguió su korma, largas colas en el bar, incompetencia personal de principio a fin, hazte un favor y vete a otro sitio.

Its a good friendly workers cafe that serves good value meals with plenty on the menu for all to pick from . It's not the largest place and can get busy, so it it is very popular with the locals. Give it a try you will be not be disappointed.

Arrived on a very busy friday morning but was greeted by fabulously friendly hosts. The food arrived quickly and was up to a great standard for only £5 (including refillable tea/coffee)! Would recommend!! Cant wait to return.Only drawback for me was the fried bread, slightly to 'oily' for my taste.

The Hungry Hossee now where do I start now this is how British breakfast should be. Walk in and met with a smile with happy people service is top notch can not do enough for you. Great value for money very respectable prices good is very nice as well. If your in Corby drop in you won't be disappointed.

I visited for the first time before Xmas with some colleagues. I can't understand the high ratings here. . I know this is a workers cafe, but the room is tired and a bit grubby. a.bd the food was average at best. Very tiny portion of beans annd tomatoes.The eggs were also the smallest I have ever seen, and were a weird shape - obviously some sort of former.I asked for a swap of sausage to bacon, which they did cheerfully, but I had to trade in 2 sausages for 1 bacon (which was not a big problem), which tells ypu somethomg about the sausage quality, .On the plus side the breakfast included unlimited coffee but it is instant that you make yourself out of a big tin on a well used and chaotic worktop area, with no clean spoons,My breakfast was barely warm, although to be fair a couple of my colleagues appeared to be hot.It is not a dreadful place, and I don't often go to to greasy spoons for food, mainly due to lack of time in the workig day, but while Cafe Luna is operating 1/2 mile away, I would only return if I have to with colleagues.||The (limited) staff were perfectly pleasant and helpful.

We're a couple that over the years have tried numerous breakfast establishments around the town. Sometimes after the night before but more often than not, when we are having a lazy Sunday and want to be setup for the day.And what can we say..... this one just excels and is totally consistent. It really is the best breakfast we have around the town for years. The breakfast is cooked to perfection and it's great value for money too.The surroundings and staff are great too. The only warning I can give is get up there early because sometimes it can get a bit crowded due to it's popularity which is testament to how good this place is. Give it a try.... you won't be disappointed!

Wow...what a great cafe, tucked away behind the shops.A very warm welcome by the young man, willingness to change anything on my breakfast without being asked. Great choice of different sized breakfasts and all reasonable priced. All cooked to order.My medium breakfast consisted of 2 sausages, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 eggs (cooked as you like), a square sausage, 2 fried slices of bread, 2 slices of toast all washed down with unlimited tea/coffee.My breakfast came well presented, hot, and it was very tasty.Well done guys, and keep up your great work. You can teach other cafes and restaurants a thing or two.I will certainly be back soon.

Went to Hungry Hossee for daughter's birthday brunch! Lived up to expectations and others reviews. Welcoming staff and freshly prepared food. We were able to swop some items for others which was very appreciated!

Nice clean place fast and friendly service enjoyed the food was well layer out on the plate and not just dumped on there like you get in some places like it was the 1500s slop in some work house will be back if I have a empty stomach and I'm within reach In the words of the Terminator il be back

About once a month my cousin and I meet up for breakfast and catch up here it's warm friendly and food is smashing always look forward to it

Was up from London and we wanted somewhere to have a decent priced good breakfast before heading home ...found this place on TripAdvisor so went with gut feeling ... what a little gem of a place the lady on the phone even offered to reserve a table for us on the Sunday morning which I thought was superb.....I had the small breakfast and believe me wasn't small but delicious..all I can say is well done to the owners and if we come to the area again guess what? We'll be coming for breakfast !!

This place does superb cooked breakfasts and comes highly recommended. A friend of mine was up from London so we went for a mid morning breakfast and we weren't disappointed. The cafe is tucked away behind the parade of shops on Studfall Avenue. You're greeted as you come through the door with a friendly hello and the service is excellent and fast. The food was great: piping hot and cooked to perfection. The portions are massive and you get refills of tea/ coffee. It's the perfect antidote to all those mediocre chain pub meals. This is the authentic greasy spoon but it's exceptionally clean and the food isn't greasy at all. Plus if you want to mix and match your breakfast items you can easily swap out any items you don't like for the same price. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough!

I've been a regular customer of the hungry hossee for years now and it is hands down the best breakfast served in Corby. I've never had such a delicious meal and the customer service is amazing. Such a friendly and welcoming place, I love taking my friends here for the first time and converting them to it! Highly recommend if you're after quality good at reasonable prices and a friendly atmosphere. Won't go elsewhere!

If your looking for somewhere to eat in Corby (I can only speak for breakfast) then this is the place, none of this hot plate ruined food like most cafes, the food is cooked fresh to order, it's consistently nice and as per usual costumer service is second to none !!

Went to the Hungry Houses for breakfast while in the area to watch British Touring Car Championships at Rockingham Speedway. Read about it before hand and we weren't disappointed. Only had the medium breakfast which was substantial, good quality and well cooked.The staff were very helpful and the meal was cooked to order very quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to others.If you have an hour and a half to spare go for the breakfast challenge which only one person has ever completed.

Without a doubt the best breakfasts in Corby. There are a variety of sizes and you can change anything on them or add bits to it too. They also have a lunch menu too. They've got a whole range Of Scottish themed breakfasts as well as the normal cooked breakfasts. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Fantastic value for money.

I've eaten at the Hungry Hossee for many a breakfast since I discovered it a few years ago. The breakfast you get is always fresh and delicious. And what always amazes me is how clean the fried eggs are, as no matter how I try at home, I always end up with a few brown bits on. But the guys at the Hungry Hossee obviously take a lot of care with their eggs as they are always perfectly white.I've never had a grumble with the price I've paid for a breakfast. And with refillable tea with most set breakfasts you certainly get value for money.The service is always fantastic as well. You are greeted at the till to make your order with a smile and you can expect this same happy service when your food is brought out.If I could try and find fault with this small locally run business I would struggle. In fact the only issue I can find is they aren't open longer into the afternoon. Even if it was only another hour or 2. Highly recommend going to the Hungry Hossee for your breakfasts

Very good value, friendly, efficient service, and most importantly generous portions. The bacon was cooked to perfection, which was unusual in this type of establishment.

It's tucked away in the suburbs....very friendly and full of locals....the owner says something nice to everyone who comes in. Clean and well looked after....nice coffee with free refills....Had a medium breakfast which was actually huge....unlike some places the bacon was really good.....you will enjoy your visit here....go on a Saturday morning and every one is happily chatting because in Corby everyone seems to know everyone!

Went to visit our son in Corby when we arrived he took us here for breakfast, got inside and thought oh my will this be any good as it was a basic workers cafe, the staff were very friendly service quick and the breakfast was the best full English I've had in a very long time and at a good price, I will definitely be going there again next time I'm in Corby .

Myself and my partner came here for breakfast one day. It was quite busy but our order was taken quickly. The staff were very polite and helpful and even agreed to cook my bacon crispy as requested. The food took a while to come out but we didn't mind as it was well worth the wait. The interior could do with decorating but it was clean and that's the main thing! I feel that is well priced too. Will Defo be returning.

In little Scotland (Corby) is this little cafe if you are lucky enough to be in the area and want the very best English breakfast, then look no further, I found this place many years ago, and was fortunate enough to be back in the area, and It's as good as it's always been, and excellent value.

Big fried breakfast! There are various sizes for different appetites. If you don't like something you can exchange it for something else and you can add as much as you like at minimal extra cost. It is all cooked fresh to order and is great quality. I've only ever been served by one lady who is always lovely and accommodating.

As a taxi driver you get to know all the good places to eat and this is probably the best place to go for breakfast in Corby. I have had the medium and large breakfast in here before and they are both huge. However I do give some of it to my wife to make it smaller, who normally has only a kids

If you want the best breakfast in Corby then the Hungry Hossee is the place to go without exception. Shalaine and her staff will always greet you with a smile. The food is top notch and caters for everyone's needs. I always have a medium breakfast for a fiver and that keeps me going all day! You get a free cuppa and top ups with your medium breakfast which is a welcome bonus. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Give it a go you won't be disappointed.

As we live near Corby we tend to eat out around this area.If its a traditional breakfast you are after in very clean and efficient cafe surroundings then this is the place to come.Example: SMALL Breakfast - 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, beans, tomatoes, bread or toast and tea or coffee with refills - £4.50The food is well cooked and efficiently served. The staff are very pleasant and altogether its a great deal. The small breakfast is more than enough for me but they also do medium and large if you can handle it.Being in an area with a large Scottish contingent you can also have black pudding, white pudding, fruit pudding, square sausages and potato scones.They also do non-breakfast dishes - pies, fish & chips etc all at value prices.It is cafe surroundings - its not for special occasions and don't expect the Ritz - but I would challenge anyone to come up with a better value deal anywhere else.In summary its just great!

I have had a fantastic breakfast here everytime, would say its the best in corby, staff are friendly and helpful, good value for money, home of the big one, a massive breakfast only ever fully eaten by about 5 people.
