Customer service was terrible and average par fried chicken. Upon complaining about the amount i was given per price (not specified on advert) i was very aggressively told to go away as allegedly nobody had complained before. The reviews here would tend to disagree with that. Good luck to your failing business.

Never fails to fill a hole. Chicken is always crispy and tender. Chicken burger is good shout too. Fries are always good. Sometimes the wait can be busy because the high staff turnover but that’s to be expected these days. Respect to those staff who turn out week in and week out!

I order food through Deliveroo the chicken in the burger was raw after complaining I was given £0.80 credit. It was absolutely disgusting.

We had the best chicken burger I have had in years, well before Covid struck! The Beehive is a great local pub and thank goodness they have got Coqfighter to provide food. Delicious chicken and everything in the burger was great. And the chips were amazing.

I was looking forward to the wings after the lovely chicken bites only to open the box and see feathers still on the chicken 🤢 £8 wasted on something that is basic when prepping chicken 2 b cooked.

We enjoyed our burgers with the seasoning choices, but found the chips to be average. I would not recommend the wings, they were scrawny and had an odd, unpleasant flavour to them.

The Worst chicken burger ever, the quality was so poor you can see brown areas of bruised chicken. It gave me food poisioning and it tasted so bad. I WISH I never went here and do not waste your money. The only decent thing there are wings but still not worth the trip. Might as well just go KFC

We came here after doing the Shoreditch 10k 2019 as we were craving a reward for our efforts. The guy that took our order did not show any emotion and did not want to be there. The food came promptly. Our burger was crispy but salty, the fries were even saltier. The chicken wings were dry and oily. Disappointed with the food as the menu and decor seemed promising before we entered.

Big yummg burgers, not cheap for a quick bites but it's ok if you can take advantage of the lunch discounts. The interior can do with a clean and a fresh lick of paint.

Hands down, this is the best friend chicken in London. Please do not waste your time ordering from any other chicken joint.

Pricy but delicious. It's a safe buy-the quality never wavers. I've had this burger maybe 4 times over the past year and it's always made fresh to order, very big (I don't order fries) and affirms itself to be the best chicken burger I've ever eaten.

Bao buns from Coqfighter Croydon have been top of the Boxpark food list for me and my friends since the place opened. Taste wise they are an easy 5, this is delicious food. However... the price has recently gone up and the buns have also shrunk at the same time. They were substantial before but now look tiny. Taste is still great, the guys who run it are accommodating and great to deal with, but the value has become questionable. Return orders are likely to be less frequent as a result, which is a shame as we have been regular visitors for a long time.

My boyfriend and I are huge fans of the bao buns and fries, regularly ordering them as a weekend treat. We noticed that the price of the bao buns went up recently, and now when ordering from the croydon branch the buns are absolutely tiny. Absolute rip-off, we won’t be ordering again.

0/5. Don't order food to take home. They place orders to couriers last. 00000000000

Delicious fish and chips for reasonable prices! And even better, they offer gluten free options everyday! Gluten free is cooked in separate fryers. 5*

Consistent, quality, fast and efficient traditional Fish & Chip takeout. The previous team was much better than the current team, mistakes to my order have been made and quality isn’t as good. However would still recommend. Thick chips, delicious rotisserie chicken, very tasty fish not overly battered , recently over fried. Gets busy during peak times, for good reason! Best in the area.

Tex Bites was always the go to spot on a Friday evening or Saturday, Mexicana Burger meal with wings instead of a drink or some tenders on the side. Fast forward to Covid, backyard BBQ teamed up with Tex to perhaps keep Tex afloat. The Mexicana burger is still a goto burger with their crinkle cut fries, but sadly the Backyard BBQ division seems to be lacking and slightly overpriced. Albeit, I only tried Backyard BBQ when they first launched a few years back (I was a bit shocked at the pricing at the time, for a joint that used to be a budget takeaway spot) and returned to try their wings. Sadly, they were very disappointing. 6 backyard wings (basically grilled wings) for £8.50. I’ll get back to the price shortly. 4 out of 6 wings were burnt, not even charred. I’ve included a picture of one of the wings in my review. Since we got takeaway (which we always do) I wasn’t able to check them before I left the shop. Rather disappointing that there’s no quality control, if something is burnt, chuck it and start a fresh. Now for the pricing - Chicken cottage doesn’t even charge that much for their grilled wings. I’d expect at least 8 wings for the price they’re charging. Or jumbo sized wings OR full size wings. Overall, I think the OG Mexicana burger is probably the only good thing that’s on the menu, for the price point at least.
