Copper Vines in Wigan

Such a lovely place with a great atmosphere. Sarah and the rest of the team really looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. Amazing food and staff would highly recommend!!

The Copper Vines always seems to be busy, and it's easy to work out why. It has a casual atmosphere and is very welcoming. It's family friendly too. Food choice is good and the foord is always cooked to order, and srved hot by the friendly staff. From a simle snack to a proper lunch, all is excellent ... and i particularly recommend the sausage!!

Recommend! Lovely atmosphere, very busy, open kitchen, great food!! Great place to try for new foods. I tried mussels for the first time and they were incredible. Sarah, our waitress, was so welcoming and down to earth, she really made the experience. Will definitely return!!

Dropped in for coffee and scones with our dog during a visit to Standish. Were warmly greeted by staff and shown to a warm covered terrace at the back. Dog treated to fresh water and gravy bones. Very good service, good coffee with alternative milk and fresh food. Very happy to recommend.

Upon arrival it was very busy and available tables were first come first served basis which we managed to find a comfortable table upstairs. When making a drinks order at the bar later on, we were greeted with an abrupt question from the young female behind the car who had an attitude. We proceeded to stand at the bar, just myself and a friend, the bar of which was clear for around 5 minutes whilst 4 members of staff continued to ignore us. A fellow customer approached the bar and was greeted immediately by one of the 3 young male bartenders and was asked for his order. Luckily for us, the customer had noticed that we had been waiting and asked the bartender to serve us first. There was no apology and we were spoken to quite rudely. The prices are far too expensive. We paid £41 for a round of 4 drinks and 4 baby-guiness shots which equated to £5 each - scandalous. We visited outer London the following day and for 6 pints it cost a fraction of this price, in Standish!

Sensationally average. Not been for a while because of their London prices, but thought would give it a go. Staff were poor, disinterested, and had to be asked for everything, including clearing table. Food was OK ish, but considering the mise en place the kitchen obviously had for a breakfast shift including pre prepped poached eggs, they were as slow as a week in jail, and despite being 3 of them couldn't quite work out why food took so long and when it did rock up had been warmed over a heated argument. I couldn't have justified having any of them in my brigade. I'd give it a miss to be honest.

Went into Copper vines last night with the intention of getting a drink on NYE. The owner was arguing with a group of customers, saying they couldn’t stand around the table opposite the bar because other customers were eating near them and had a set price to be there for NYE. One of the men asked why they had still been allowed in and to buy a drink if there was no room - the owner argued and wouldn’t let it drop. He kept going back despite the man trying to say “leave it.” It was a reasonable question - if there’s no room then don’t allow people in and serve them? The whole party (of about 10 people) left and so did we. Won’t be going back. Not the first I’ve heard about owner’s attitude but have now witnessed it myself

Superb 3 course meal. Food was divine and plenty of it. Nice breather between courses and tables cleared quickly each time. Staff worked very hard and chatted and laughed with us. Can't fault anything. At all.

Best breakfast around. Even better than a nearby Michelin star restaurant! Highly recommended. Opens at 10 am on Saturday....maybe a 9 o'clock start for breakfast would be better?

Reservé esto para ponerme al día con amigos. Llegamos media hora antes ya que habíamos viajado desde Cheshire. Recibimos una cálida bienvenida y nos dijeron que nuestra mesa estaba lista y alguien vendría y tomaría nuestra orden de bebidas. Una buena selección para elegir (lástima que estaba conduciendo!). Servicio atento y en cuanto aparecieron nuestros amigos vinieron a preguntarles qué les gustaría beber. La comida estaba bien cocinada y fresca - servidores conocedores del menú y dio una buena explicación de los platos - tranquilizador si tienes alergias. Ambiente encantador ocupado pero no ruidoso. Sin duda volvería.

Great spot and atmosphere, love the card and board games. But the overhead LED lights are unnecessary at 10pm. Please turn them off for better ambiance.

Fuimos aquí para un asado dominical. Siendo una chica irlandesa tenía grandes expectativas, ya que nos encanta un asado. Tenía pollo y relleno, estaba delicioso. Gran tamaño de la porción y muy sabroso.

Vine a desayunar con la familia e inmediatamente me sentí incómodo por un miembro del personal en particular que nos hizo sentir así durante toda nuestra visita. No nos mostraron a una mesa, sino que simplemente nos instruyeron en una dirección general. Una vez que llegó la comida, le pedimos amablemente a la señora, que presumiblemente era la gerente, unas tostadas blancas, ya que el desayuno venía con pan con semillas. A petición nuestra, la señora parecía demasiado problema. Cuando regresó con el brindis ella groseramente lo dejó sin decir una palabra, estábamos muy disculpados y agradecidos, pero ella simplemente nos miró y se fue. El desayuno en sí no era nada especial ninguno de nosotros lo terminó y no volverá. Nuestra experiencia fue muy pobre y nos sentimos decepcionados por la actitud mostrada por la señora que no estaba dando un buen ejemplo a los empleados más jóvenes allí.

Amazing place, food and vibe. Just visited for the first time as a couple with our dog. Ordered fish and chips and piri chicken scewers and both were amazing. Will definitely book again when we are in the area 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Started off ok young man quite welcoming ordered drinks then meal chosen Sunday lunch £19 beef and requested it pink . Waited the usual length of time we enjoyed our drinks and food came definitely NOT pink beef informed server he apologised. Meal finished just ok nothing special. My husband went to the bar and ordered another set of drinks lager and red wine. We probably would have had a sweet or coffees but NOTHING, nobody came and asked us if we wanted anything else. Not busy at all no floor manager or restaurant manager on duty that I could see. This is our 3rd time won’t be going back very poor.

Great time, great place and great services. Will come back again for early breakfast.

Lovely experience although a little pricey.

We arrived as a walk-in on a busy Friday evening. Staff were very accommodating and welcoming. Food was fantastic and cannot fault the service. We will definitely be back.

We had a great night. Drinks reasonably priced, good atmosphere and lovely venue. The garden at the back is fab and can also take dogs in some parts. Staff are really lovely. Will definitely be going back.

Visited last week and had a lovely breakfast. Had the poached eggs with hollandaise. The service was good and reasonably priced. Would definitely come back in the future.

Beautiful venue , terrible service,rude snotty staff who made us, a group of women in their 30's and 40's , feel completely unwelcome. They kept looking over at us, we left after 1 drink and won't be going back

A little slice of heaven. 3 different seating areas. Inside, semi, or full outside. Clear menus with a good choice of food for all dietary requirements. My sister has vegan and was happy with her dish. Would definitely go again

Have never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome, we were 16 people in our party and the first thing they said was how many are you. We said we'd split our group up and they let us in! They were rude and kept looking over at us even though we were staying for 1 drink. Will not be going again!

had a breakfast, asked for scrambled eggs instead of poached . Was told an upgrade due to using more eggs didn’t expect £4 extra !!!!! Expensive breakfast £17.95

The food was very good, but unfortunately the service was very poor. It was disappointing as we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and Father's Day. As it was our first time at Copper Vines, we will try it again in the future to see if we were just very unlucky.

Excellent tapas, Padron Peppers as good as roasted peppers in Spain. Duck amazing , crispy beef tacos delicious, chorizo and prawns incredible. Service and staff very good and pet friendly!!

The Owner is rude, arrogant and his attitude is a disgrace, needs a lesson in manners. Telling us one thing on the phone to then getting there and being the complete opposite! 🤡🤡

Nice atmosphere and decor. Apart from the lovely blonde lady, chefs and other staff very moody and almost arrogant. I wouldn’t say the food is ‘chef worthy’. Nice presentation but evening meals aren’t nice, brunch is fair but nothing you couldn’t do at home. It’s missing that chef kiss ingredients - instead of standard Avo & egg sourdough I’d be looking for a twist like pickled kimchi or sambal sauce. No halal or kosher options - just fish & chips which we wouldn’t eat or standard veggie stuff

The food was very good but the attitude and customer service of the manager or owner leaves a lot to be desired. Party of 7, ( 2 ordered from the small plate menu and 5 of us ordered steaks) Small plates came out 20 mins before our steaks, leaving our two guests feeling embarrassed about eating and finishing whilst our food had not arrived. I went to bar to ask about our steaks and the manager was unapologetic, justifying the wait by saying one steak was requested well done and needed 30 mins resting. When steaks arrived all where delicious but the managers attitude appeared to be my pub is full , tough. I don't think it was remiss of me to expect an apology saying, sorry about your wait. I won't be returning as there are other fantastic restaurants just down the road in Shevington and I am sure they would never speak to a customer in that manner.

Huge sitting area indoor and outdoor. Heaters above the tables in the seating area at the back, which was lovely. Ordered a hot chocolate, which was nice. Was initially told that there was no food available as there was a party upstairs but then they were able to do chips with a chipotle sauce for us , which was good. No parking on site but there’s a small parking lot towards the back witj about 10-12 spaces.

Great breakfast but having booked and then having to wait 40mins to be served, by which time the tea was freezing, is not a good experience, adding service charge to the bill is a bit off to say the least 😞

There's very little in the way of choice regarding vegetarian are gluten free on the lunch menu. I doubt we'll be back, which is a shame as the interior is really smart and the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable.

As a Londoner, I must say: The food is so exceptional that if this establishment were in London, people would queue around the block just to dine here. Yep, it’s that good!

Booked a big party of adults and toddlers in the loft today after a walk through the local woods, we were regrettably delayed and half an hour late, let the manager know and there was no problem at all. Staff very welcoming, service excellent & food delicious & well presented. Thank you for being so patient and for your hospitality. 10/10

Popped in for Brunch and a coffee. They serve breakfast till 11:30am Then lunch. Breakfast was good and the service was excellent.

Saturday afternoon for brunch with my wife and our (adult) daughter. Fantastic service, food amazing. I had the black pudding/poached egg combo. Two cocktails each afterwards. I have been to this establishment on a Saturday evening and while it was good, it was extremely busy and at my age (60s) I much preferred the quieter afternoon vibe.

Really good food. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Went on a Saturday night and the atmosphere was good with the DJs music

Amazing addition to the Standish area

We’ve visited for lunch and drinks before but this was our first evening visit. Really impressed by the quality of the food, and thought it was reasonably priced. We did feel a bit rushed by the person serving us though.

Called in this morning for breakfast & a fine glass of sav blanc, what a lovely welcome on arrival by staff, we sat outside food was fantastic and the staff very friendly especially the lad from Yorkshire. We will definitely be going back to this little gem of a place.

Had a meal with my partner the other night here and everything was amazing. The girls serving us were perfect and the food was amazing. I had the lamb and I can safely say it was the best I’ve had in a long time.

Recommended by friendd. It has a great outdoor space and conservatory area. 2 large pizzas and a bottle of wine for £30 is a bargain! It's perfect for 3 people sharing and definitely worth a visit.

Very pleasant decor and general atmosphere. Plenty of seating on two floors and a outdoor area. Food was fresh and well presented. Menu was a bit affected and twee. Quite expensive. Bar limited to keg beer and lager. Service was a bit slow but it was a midweek lunchtime.

Thought it was expensive for what could only be described as a sandwich menu . We were told we could only choose from a menu where basically everything was served on bread . 10% service charge added aswell.

Nice place for a coffee and cake. Went in the day time but would like to come back for a proper evening meal... If I can get a babysitter

My first visit which far exceeded my expectations. The menu offers choices to satisfy most customers. Not too extensive. The result is delicious, well presented dishes. Great service by a young dedicated team.

No atmosphere, but it was a Thursday evening, maybe it's better on a weekend. Sat us in a dark corner table even though I'd booked in advance, wasn't busy at all so asked if we could sit on a nicer table. Food wasn't the best, lukewarm, only the chips were hot. Waitress kept calling us 'guys' all the time, must be an American thing, got annoying after a bit. Card machine brought to table before we'd even asked for it, and service charge added to the bill. Shame really, wanted to enjoy it but didn't.
