We visited Limekilns for the 1st time in many years, came over from Edinburgh, and wanted to try here after a long bracing sea walk. Busy, signed us asked to wait, but my wife and the others we were already making a beeline for a free table. I explained to the waitress, and she said they preferred to clear the tables before seating next customers. Perfectly reasonable and polite, another waitress arrived promptly to clear the cups from the previous customers. Clean, bright, warm on a cold February day, the cafe/restaurant was already busy at 11 45. Menus arrived promptly, lovely selection, large croque monsieur and very filling chicken soup at very reasonable prices. Good, friendly service, and busy tables all around with people enjoying a decent range of meals to coffees and scones. Very enjoyable with great views over the forth. Well done!

Coorie’s reputation for being a cozy, friendly place that caters for a wide range of dietary requirements is well earned. The brunch menu is excellent - with classic options to suit most requirements - including really decent vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. As a coeliac, it’s a treat to find somewhere that offers gluten free alternatives rather than simply leaving the gluten-containing bits off the plate. It is more of a ‘breakfast’ menu than a ‘brunch’ menu, which probably explains why the brunch menu (disappointingly) stops being served at 11.45 to make way for the lunch menu. The breakfast menu rightly makes Coorie a destination of choice in the area. The lunch menu unfortunately doesn’t, particularly if you had your heart set on a gluten free veggie breakfast! Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with the lunch menu - it’s perfectly reasonable cafe fare. Again, a range of diets are catered for, but it’s just the standard offering of variations on a sandwich or toastie, with a couple of soups and a chilli bowl for a more warming option after a windy coastal walk. Big menus are a nightmare to manage, particularly from a small kitchen, and tend not to result in a great experience for the customer. One of the nice things about Coorie is the small but well-formed menus. That said, I think the brunch’ and ‘lunch’ menus could easily be combined to offer a first-class all day option here, even if only at the weekends. There is an often a queue at the door on Saturdays and Sundays. That was the case today when we visited. We wouldn’t have stayed in the queue if we’d realised it would mean we would be seated just into ‘lunch’ time and beyond the morning ‘brunch’.

disapointing experience. The menu and PR made it sound very attractive but a soggie toastie with more chilli jam than (poor quality) bacon or brie was uninspiring. Sloppy slaw and some limp mixed leaves did nothing to lift the dish. Overall feeling was that the place was scrimping rather than seeking to provide anything scrumptous.

What a find!! A completely rare, hidden gem. I was looking for somewhere for breakfast as the hotel I was staying at locally was a disappointment and noticed this place. I am SO glad I found it, by chance... and I will definitely be making a point of going here deliberately, next time I am in the area. Amazing breakfast, absolutely delicious. Tried a "Dirty Chai Latte" to go with it, also delicious. It was so lovely that when I went to pay the bill I asked for another latte to take away and they have an amazing selection of cakes, I choose a pumpkin blondie and it was amazing. Highly recommend this place

We meet with friends every month for breakfast for a natter and catch up. We normally go to the same place every time but were disappointed on 2 occasions. I reviewed Google for a change of venue and as one of the friends is Gluten Free we were limited to where we could go. I came across this place and very glad that I did. We arrived without a booking thinking Friday @ 9:15 would be quiet however, it was busy with 2 tables free in the middle. We sat and gave our breakfast orders with teas and coffees. Great food, great coffee and a good atmosphere. I just had a sausage and bacon roll but, the roll was heated (Braw) Our friends were happy with their food and the GF choice was limited but the waitress explained what she could offer and our friend was more than happy. No rush, we sat for 2 hours and caught up. Obviously we ordered more coffees and teas but we didn’t feel we were being ushered away or anything. Will definitely go back next month. 5 stars*****

I just had the most incredible breakfast at Coorie by the Coast, and I'm over the moon! Picture this: a stunning view of Limekilns harbour with yachts dancing on the waves. The coffee? Simply divine. But the real star was the breakfast—an amazing spread of sausage, bacon, eggs, thyme tomato, tattie scone, black pudding, haggis, beans in a cute pot, and sourdough toast. Each bite was perfection, thanks to the chef's speedy and skillful work. The staff? Absolute gems, making the whole experience magical. Can't wait to return!

Excellent establishment with views across the River Forth. Super friendly staff and fantastic food. Highly recommended. After recently moving to Dunfermline, we ventured out for some brunch after a hectic few days. My wife opted for the 'Wee' Coorie (Sausage, Bacon, Fried Eggs and Sourdough Toast with a Latte.) I chose a Hot Filled Roll with 3 toppings (Sausage, Fried Egg and Herby Mushrooms with a pot of Tea.) Our order was taken quickly by a charming member of staff and our food was delivered speedily. It was absolutely fantastic (my wife agreed), and everything was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be returning Thankyou

Lovely place and nicely decorated. Very dog friendly. Interesting and unusual menu and very reasonable prices. Lovely sourdough sandwiches and good sized portions. The curried sweet potato, carrot and coconut soup was delicious. Only down side was the tea wasn’t very nice. But a nice experience and would definitely visit again.

Visited on recommendation from friends. Arrived at a busy time but table available pretty quickly. However service was really slow which was a shame as there seemed to be plenty of staff. Lovely to get decent sized teapot but one teabag isn't enough to serve a decent cuppa! Veggie and traditional breakfasts were tasty but the waffle was disappointing and totally overrun with cream.

I popped in for two pints . It was clean and busy . There was a singer on stage later . We left to go for something to eat and never returned . I'm glad we visited it though as it was handy for the bus station and the toilets were clean

We have visited Brewdog many times sometimes good and sometimes mediocre unfortunately today was very disappointing and won’t be returning. Food took over 1hr to arrive, we had to say to the staff as people who came in 30mins after us were being served their food. After advising the staff our food eventually arrived and all dishes were absolutely smothered in sauce to the point it was difficult to eat. The Korean chicken tacos were literally dripping in sauce and unable to roll up & eat like you would a taco & I finally attempted to cut up and eat with knife & fork. We then made the mistake to order 2 deserts that never turned up and finally just said to the manager can we have our bill.We did tell them about our issues and he apologised and we did get a discount off the bill. We go to brewdog because it’s relaxed we take our dog and my 12year old son normally enjoys but I’m afraid we won’t be back. Too many better places in St Andrews to go.
