Have been in here before some time ago, on this visit I noticed it was looking very tired, plus a horrible greasy smell. There were 2 people in there running round and working very hard, plus they were very pleasant. I had a cream tea, it was excellent my friend a huge baked potato also very good.

I’m a person that if I did not enjoy my experience, I’d not go back. I would speak with the manager and explain why. I’ve been here 7 times now and have had a great experience every time. (This is for the manager as I forgot to mention it on my last visit) As the lock on the toilet is broken and for whatever reason you have not had time to get it repaired/replaced, maybe consider a flip around sign that says in use or free to use. That way, it’s the clients responsibility to keep their time in there private. Can’t wait to go back again

Service was extremely slow even for simple orders of tea and coffee. I wasn’t in a rush, but the people on two other tables were getting extremely frustrated (rightly so) as they had been waiting a long time (20 minutes+). It’s a small cafe and it seemed to be well-staffed (I counted 4 members of staff). As others have pointed out, the toilet door handle was broken. Although there’s an ‘out of order’ sign on the door, a member of staff told a customer that it was alright to use the toilet. While this customer was in the toilet, another member of staff knocked on the toilet door and we heard the customer say that they were using the toilet … however, the member of staff just opened the toilet door and we could all see the customer sat on the toilet! No apology, and when the customer raised this as an issue afterwards, they were made to feel as if it was their fault!! This could be such a great cafe, but something is clearly not right here. Nee management / new staff / better attitudes are needed.

The cafe looked Ok from the outside but don't be fooled. When we went in there were 3 tables piled with dirty plates etc. The staff were very inexperienced and not at all friendly. I felt sorry for them because it was obvious they did not have a clue. I ordered a Ham sandwich and my husband ordered a Brie and Cranberry. It took ages to arrive and presentation was not great. Over priced sandwiches. The toilet door handle was broken so if you wanted to use the loo you had to get someone to stand guard or the waitress shouted that the toilet was free. When we left the tables still hadn't been cleared. I felt as though I should have helped them out. I hate leaving bad reviews.

Waitress was really flustered, and made everyone aware that there was an half an hour wait for food, which really didn't look professional. Ordered a drink, glasses were dirty, ran out of orange juice, ran out of sausages, and this was at 12.20pm. Ordered a jacket potatoe with cheese, the potatoe didn't look cooked, and the cheese was melted in microwave, so by time it got to table it had gone cold, and went hard in the dish, and trying to cut it was a nightmare, never had cheese melted on a jacket potatoe like that before, didn't enjoy it at all. Husband ordered bacon chips and egg, as they had no sausages left. The chips were like door stops, and his bacon was that well done he couldn't eat it, it was rock hard, didn't say anything to the waitresss as could see she wasn't coping to well. Did mention it when we went to pay, but wasn't really interested, just wanted the money. Toilet door handle broken, so had to get partner to stand outside, will I return definitely not. Worst place we've eaten out in a long time, and we are it fussy people, this wad a bad experience.

Poor quality food, very overpriced. The jacket potato was small and soggy, the Welsh rarebit was served on a slice of cheap white bread and the pancakes were shop bought and reheated. The side salads were limp and unappetising. I was embarrassed that I took visiting family there and will definitely not return. The cafe at the library is wonderful in comparison and a huge improvement on Love to Eat!

Arrived at 2.45 by 3.10 nobody had come to take our order. It wasn't even busy. queued up at counter to give my order thinking it would be quicker to be told rudely to sit down. Another 15 minutes the staff serving had not taken the order and had actually gone out the front door! I went out to the kitchen asked someone if anyone could serve us and was told tough the staff are busy. Was eventually asked our order. I said how long we had waited and was asked "do you want a drink or not". I said I would have expected an apology. She just repeated did I want a drink or not. An appalling service with rude staff who are not fit to work with the public. One of the worse places I have been. Avoid at all costs as it really is as bad as the reviews say.

Looked ok from the outside but… the tuna sandwich was of extremely low quality. The scone was served with some whipped not clotted cream and I reckon the scone defrosted and microwaved, and the milk for the tea came in rather grubby looking mini milk bottles. The teapot was cracked too. Best avoided.

We went to the café called Love to eat in the centre of Conwy, and I would give it a 4/10. First impression, upon walking in, I thought it was a lovely place. While waiting for my food to arrive, I started looking around, and the floor was filthy, and behind the counter was a dirty and tatty counter. Now, down to the food: 2 x sandwiches and 2 x coffee cost £25. You would get a better sandwich from a petrol station. I think the only reason it's still open is because of unsuspecting tourists.

Friendly staff, place is a bit shabby, food very disappointing. Very poor quality. Would not return and definitely look for somewhere else

Below average place, dirty menus, tasteless and greasy food. Surely you can’t go wrong with a scone? Turns out, you can… Shame as it has prime location in the centre of Conwy. They need to move over for better cafes…Wouldn’t recommend - far better places out there.

Other people ordered hot food at the same time as our drinks order and their food came out first .Our hot chocolate arrived with an apology for having no flake. There was a second apology at the till but no reduction in price.Staff very poor and generally not a good experience.would definitely not go back.

AVOID - THERE ARE LOADS BETTER CAFES IN CONWY. I should have read the reviews on TripAdvisor and avoided this place. But had an hour to pass between appointments and my favourite cafe "L's" further up the road was closed. I ordered a flat white and what arrived was hot, slightly frothy dishwater. Very, very hot so that the milk was burned and the whole thing tasted of nothing. The waitress delivering it (who had actually made it) apologised and explained it was somewhere between a flat white and a latte!? That would at least have been drinkable!!! Don't know what the food is like here but I'll never know as I will never come back.

Starve yourself rather than eat here. My girlfriend had Welsh rarebit which was the size of those tiny toy slices you get with kids play kitchens, terribly greasy and at £8 is laughable. I had full English breakfast - nothing full about it though. One small sausage, slice of bacon, 48 day old baked beans which were blasted in the microwave which burnt my mouth. Waitress seemed as though she had 50 covers to get to when in reality there were 4 tables with people on them. Only contributed 1/3 of the bill as not paying full price for that shambles.

We stopped in here with our toddler for some breakfast on a rainy Thursday morning. The food was nice enough. The full English breakfast could have been bigger (1 of everything). However the service was quite bad. We sat ourselves at a table with dirty plates (only free appropriate table). The waitress did not take our order or clear the table for approx 30 mins but took orders and served other tables who came after us. The food came relatively quickly once ordered but coffees didn't come until later. The waitress didn't seem to have any system for taking orders or serving people in order. Very poor service.

We've visited here a few times before, always been a positive experience. This time it was way overpriced ( £2.50 for a fruit shoot!!) The slices of cake we're small for the price, came with strawberries which should have been in the bin! 2 toasted teacakes.. 1 burnt black and the other barely cooked... Teapot was very stained on the outside... needed a good wash. Waitress was flustered but only 1 other table full. She went to empty the bins and directed us to tell any one calling in she'd be back in 5......... We will find somewhere new next time!

Walked in at 9.20am Fri morning to be rudely told they didn't open till 10am yet their website clearly states it opens at 9am and there were customers already in. Manners are free and wouldn't go a miss here.

We walked in while the door was wide open & some tables had people sat at them to be rudely yelled at by a member of staff because they didn’t open for another 15 minutes. The tone was unacceptable & we will not try to go back when open, there was no need for the member of staff to yell at us as if we were naughty children.

Poor service. Sign in window that says 8.95 for panini and drink to be told they don't sell paninis. Glasses for childrens drinks dirty. I ordered Welsh rarebit, when it arrived it was burnt. I tried it as thought it might just be the edges but under the cheese was also completely black, on top of this it was also the crust of the bread. Complained as it was not edible. No apology said they would get another. This took 30 mins to arrive, when this arrived it was undercooked, greasy and cold, everyone in our party had finished their food 20 minutes ago. No offer of fresh drinks etc. Didn't feel there was any point in complaining again as their customer service was so poor. Paid in full no offer of refund . Avoid this place go to one of the lovely bakerys in town.

We visited Conwy in August last year and this venue was one of a limited few in Conwy that offered camomile tea and very good service and we noticed a couple on a neighbouring table had an afternoon tea. With this in mind we visited again this year with the view of ordering an afternoon tea. We waited at least 5 minutes for somebody to show us to a table and then another 10 minutes for somebody to take our order. We only returned this year because we were interested in an afternoon tea, however this was no longer on the menu but the waitress took our order anyway only for a further 10 minutes to go by and then be advised that they no longer offer an afternoon tea. I've no idea why this would be such an issue, they offer sandwiches, cakes, scones and cups of tea, surely it can't be that difficult? We then left and went across the road to another tea room to be advised that we were too late by 5 minutes for placing food orders so if we had been advised at Love-To-Eat when we first arrived we would have been there in plenty of time. We then noticed that the Pen-Y-Bryn tea rooms next door to Love-To-Eat offer afternoon teas so we went in there, the staff were very polite but we also noticed that some of the staff from Love-To-Eat were in there so it's no wonder they couldn't get to us in adequate time.

The service was slow even though the cafe only had about 10 tables. We waited half hour to order. When the food came two of the sandwiches were no where close to the menu and we had one taken off the bill. The bread fell apart and the sandwiches were possibly the worst we have ever had, very expensive for the quality.

We were footsore so we stopped by late in the afternoon. First mistake. The waitress seemed flustered but we sat down. Mistake number 2. The waitress misheard our coffee order and I was made to feel like it was my mistake. Still cappuccino rather than white coffee is not a problem. Coffee was a long way from being tasty however. But let's include the positives. My son thought his pancakes were great. Two of us had scampi, just about cooked, with chips that needed longer in the fryer, with bargain line coleslaw and peas that were disgusting (reheated, super cheap?). My wife had the quiche which was overcooked and seemed to have been reheated. The pastry was terrible. Her chips too were underdone. We didn't want an argument, as that seemed likely if we complained so we wasted £50 and left. Definitely mistake number 3! Our advice would be to go elsewhere, it's not like there aren't alternatives.

We had previously come across hygiene issues in the Llandudno branch but we thought we would give Conway branch a chance. BIG mistake! We were not acknowledged by the person front of house, despite me advising her we were here and where we were going...

Walked in to no greeting. Took at least 10 minutes for someone to take notice of us bearing in mind we had a seat right next to the mini kitchen area. Two grandkids with us who were served sandwiches with butter on the outside of...

We choose Love to eat as we had been to the Llandudno, Victoria centre Love to eat the day before and had a lovely brunch stop. What a shame Conwy was so far from that. They advertise gluten free options but there was nothing available...

Went here this Sunday for an early breakfast, everywhere else was closed! What a lucky find! Friendly staff, nice warm atmosphere, already busy! Good menu, plenty of choice, quick service, food and coffee spot on! Now on my favourites list!

Popped in for a tea and cake during a rain shower and the staff were lovely and patient with our tired toddler who was on the verge of a meltdown, giving her a shortbread biscuit and chatting to her to keep her calm. Only reason...

There were 7 of us for brunch and not one of us had a good word for the food or service. The "breakfast" at nearly £6 was 1 small sausage, 1 rasher of bacon, cremated mushrooms, 1 egg, overcooked beans and a slice of toast....

I ordered the burger with bacon and left half on the plate.It was cooked dry and hard. The fench fries were crisp on the skin and uncooked on the inside. There are many other restaurants in town that should be much better.

Met at the door by an Unwelcoming lady that made no effort to accommodate a group of 5 with a pram. Cafe was not full. Clearly didn’t want the hassle of a child (that was actually asleep).

A lovely place to eat and so sad we never had room to try their scones! Portions were generous and The waitress was friendly and helpful! Will go back for our scones another day!

Popped in for a light lunch ....

We saw outside the cafe a nice deal for bacon or sausage sandwich with coffee or tea for £4.95 and although we weren't looking for any breakfast we fancied the bacon sandwich. On entering the cafe we were greeted by Barbara and Kelly who were both very helpful and cheerful although there was a table full of visitors and the children had made so much mess......drinks all over the floor, opened sugars everywhere which had been put in the empty jars with salt and pepper poured in too. We were served our drinks and waited 30 mins for our sandwich...... another table which came in after us were served their full breakfast first. When it came it looked nice until we tried it...it was cold and couldn't taste the bacon I looked inside and the bacon if thats what they called it... was none existent. it was a couple of bits cut up, the marg on the bread hadn't even melted so obviously it was cold..I opened the other half of the sandwich and there was 3 pieces of bacon the size of 50p's. I was going to tell them but my partner didn't want me too he said just make one sandwich from the two. He opened the other half of his and found something mysterious on the bacon I gave it to the waitress. We were very disappointed and would not go back for food although I have known the owner for many years. I was told it wasn't worth complaining as it was his daughter that was cooking. If this is saving a few pence the cafe will get many bad reviews and lose a lot of custom. Two dissatisfied customers.

We just popped in for a snack on a busy June day. Straight to a lovely window table. Everything looked quite acceptable. A good menu for a casual bite.

On our visit as soon as we entered the door the waitress announced that there were no tables available, until my wife pointed out a table for 8 that had 1 occupant. We asked the gentleman if we could share the table and he was happy to oblige.

It seems that my current opinion of this once treasured place is now shared by many! Last year it was a delight.....one year on....oh how the mighty are fallen and badly. A very pleasant young girl by the name of Harriet...or as we called her Cinderella...was doing all the skivvy work while some matron like stone faced matriarch shouted her orders which must be obeyed at all times. It seems poor Cinders was called out from the back at any given opportunity to do everything, even putting brown sauce on a table. I'm so sorry the other members of staff were so busy they couldn't do this obviously tricky task. I'm not going to comment on the food and drinks, although they were ok,because this bullying-like behaviour has left me with a very bad feeling. Surprise surprise we will NOT be coming back. Do the management read these reviews or choosing to ignore an underlying trend with this place?

The food is good as well. Just a quick lunchtime bite but excellent value, quality and service. Would recommend to anyone wanting a lite meal

This cafe does not deserve any custom. The exterior might con you to go in, but on the inside there was a nasty troll awaiting!

I have never written a review in my life but this place takes the biscuit. The rudest staff you could ever wish to encounter, please do yourself a favor and avoid this cafe, the bad reviews are justified. I can’t believe the level of disrespect and disregarded for there customers, I can’t comment on the food as I didn’t even get chance to order, I felt like me and my family (7 adults and one baby ) were an inconvenience from the moment we entered the door.

Today I witnessed what I can only class as discrimination to lovely family who entered this cafe.

Have enjoyed eating lunch at this cafe on previous visits to Conwy but not sure what's happened to the service now, it seems to have gone downhill. Visited on Sun 26th May, my son & husband both wanted a ham & cheese toastie with salad garnish as they've liked the fact that the ham here is thick cut & homemade before, unfortunately there was only 1 portion of ham left which my husband kindly donated to our son. We overhead a few other customers asking unsuccessfully for ham afterwards too. My husband swapped to prawn sandwiches instead, I ordered a tuna, cheese & red onion panini with salad garnish. The food took a long time to arrive as did other tables food too, then we noticed we had no cutlery, it took a while again to be given some. I also had to ask twice for hot water for the teapot. The staff seemed a bit disorganised. The sandwiches were fine when they did arrive though the amount of salad & variety was disappointing. It's a shame it seems to have gone downhill, with more staff & better customer service it could be good again.

Do not be fooled by the pretty exterior and decor, this is a terribly badly run place that does not deserve custom. We ordered our lunches, which mainly consisted of sandwiches only to be told a few minutes later that there was no brown bread! A few minutes later, the waitress came back and said there was no Coke! When my husband tried to order another drink, he was spoken to very rudely by the waitress. She then came back a few minutes later and this time told us there were no Fruit Shoots for our daughter! By this time, we thought we had stumbled into Fawlty Towers! When the lunches came, the salad garnish consisted of a bit of lettuce and 2 Pringles! It was so bad another customer nearby walked out without paying!

Four of us entered the Cafe at 2pm. My wife wanted a milkshake - no milkshake available. I ordered Welsh rarebit from the menu which didn't have a great selection. No rarebit available. In the end we just ordered four drinks. I heard others being told they hadn't got items also. The waitress didn't seem bothered and got our drinks order wrong substituting a hot chocolate for a coffee. The hot chocolate was nice but I wish we'd gone to the cafe next door ibstead

Was recommended to go here by staff at love to eat Llandudno - worst idea ever! Chaotic - rude- order incorrect - customer at neighbouring table gave us our tea as was delivered to his table by mistake - staff chatting with each other loudly as if no customers in the shop and moaning about being at work - one staff member constantly checking hair and looking in the mirror-told we couldn’t have scones but then staff member ran out of shop to get some from next door - would avoid this as a place to spend your cash unless of course you love “Fawlty Towers” - no loo paper either even after staff member used the loo and could have noticed!!!

Four of us went for lunch recently, and I asked if they did sandwiches. I was told to read the menu. A simple answer would have been yes! The food was not really good! It is difficult not to make a good sandwich! Since we were two couples I asked if the bill could be split, which appeared to be a huge inconvenience. I will not be going to Love to Eat again!

Excellent service food was fresh and of good quality. Staff very friendly efficient and as I have lots of food intolerances was as to cater for me. Place was very clean

Visited recently with my friend for lunch. We both chose the sandwiches and my friend had some cake after hers. The sandwiches were really nice with thick fresh bread and the presentation with the salad and fruit was really lovely, only problem that the plates were hot which we found quite odd with a sandwich. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. Visiting the toilet at the time was also spotless. We would go there again as the food was really nice.

Don’t visit with a pram unless you want to feel like a huge inconvenience. Unhelpful, rude staff member. It was a quiet weekday and if we hadn’t already gone to the effort of getting the pram up the step I would have left. Food average. Coffee average. It’s such a shame more local cafes aren’t pram friendly as mums on maternity leave really can spend a lot of time and money in a good cafe!

Visited this morning, I was greeted warmly by the hostess who offered a menu. I chose the ‘Eggs Benedict’ which was served promptly with a pot of tea. The eggs were perfect and the hollandaise was tasty. I will be returning to this wonderful eatery.

The cafe itself is beautiful and clean.

Went with family of 8 to enjoy lunch only to be asked to leave as two young children had an ice cream.

My partner & I popped in here for lunch on a busy Saturday, I made the amateur error of not checking TripAdvisor before choosing our lunch spot, if I'd seen these reviews we wouldn't have bothered. It was the only cafe that wasn't really busy that should have been a warning! Service was grumpy, cutlery had dried food on it, table dirty and the food was odd...I ordered pancakes with blueberries & yogurt...what arrived was 1 cold, uncooked pancake, blueberries floating in some sort of liquid all served on a slate that made it impossible to eat it. No one asked if the food was okay and we were just left feeling dissatisfied. Cakes looked good though & partners burger & chips were okay so perhaps I just chose the wrong thing, however I don't recommend, save your pennies.

Good selection of lunch items,coffee,sandwiches,lasagna plus some excellent freshly made classic cakes.Served in a sunny room by very helpful staff.

Cafe very quiet when we called in around 12 noon, only 2 tables occupied. Had 2 menus practically thrown at us by a waitress who was busy stuffing her face and dying to disappear out of the door. We would have been foolish to stay so took our business elsewhere.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat and we were so happy that we did. The place is light and bright and the staff were very welcoming, friendly and even gave us some travel advice. The food was DELICIOUS and was served to us quickly. My huaband was thrilled about the amount of bacon he was served in his muffin, my chicken salad was fresh and crunchy with tasty (not dry) chicken. My kids really relished their sandwiches, which were huge,so naturally shared and we were pleased they did. The pot was tea was also amazing, i live my life in constant fear of having a bad brew so i was pleased with my he-man shade of brewski!

Popped in for a bite to eat, lovely warming atmosphere, we only had a cold drink and share a tuna, cheese and red onion toastie. They served it on 2 plates both with the most amazing fresh salad. Good job we shared as the sandwich was packed full of filling. Would definitely return

Did you know that Bill Cottages back in the early 70's used to be a printing business. Well it's true as we used to work there. We can't remember what your cafe was in those days. I had a part time job across the road in The Shell Shop owned by the Mason Family.

Cute little tea room, but woefully understaffed. Only one employee and she was way over her head. The glasses she gave us were dirty and we waited a long time before she was able to take our order. The food came relatively quickly, though, and it was ok. Ham was tough and the burger very underdone, but my egg mayo was quite tasty. A bit of a disappointment.

Made a rookie mistake and should have checked out Trip Advisor first. The coffee was £2.30 for a cup of tepid water and milk, the service was really up there with the worst ever, well meaning but completely disorganised. I can't comment on the rest of my order as it didn't arrive. The staff were amazed that I hadn't received it like there was some cake fairy that should have delivered it and they were just there to observe! Avoid and spend your hard earned cash else where

Took my mother here for lunch. Table had crumbs on it and the menus were dirty. Decided to stay anyway, wish we hadn't, and that I'd checked it out on Trip Advisor first. It wasn't at all busy, now I know why.

We went, told to sit and wait, we did, eventually waitress came over, to order, we waited just about to walk out and food came, sent it back as still had not defrosted, gave up, this was the most inefficient cafe we have ever encountered, plenty of staff but no method or charm.

We spent a day in Conwy and had a good look around before deciding on a place to eat. This cafe really caught our eye - excellent food rating and lovely decor inside. The food was excellent and the service also by a very pleasant young lady. Gwych - llawer o ddiolch.

Visited last week during a holiday exploring North Wales and had a lovely experience.

We ate here because we had been staying above the tea rooms next door. This place was pretty dam good. The woman who appeared to be in charge (didn’t get her name) was brilliant. She was chatty and helpful. I have food allergy’s and she was great, understood completely as her own family have different food allergy’s. She sorted me out with a tasty, hot breakfast including toast and sausages and apparently they do gluten free cakes although I didn’t try any (no tummy room) but it gives visitors more choice. I’d definitely go again next time I’m over that way.

The sign outside said tea and cake or toasted teacake £3 so that sounded good enough, having also visited here before. I should have had the teacake - the photo is honestly how the cake was served!! Apparently "it just crumbled when it was cut" I was told, mmm yes I suppose it will do if the slice is 3mm thick??!! Plus you could not order coffee as the machine would not work and the poor lady was rushed off her feet doing everything with no help

Thought there was only one staff member, as no one came to the table for 5-10 minutes. Fortunately we were in no hurry. Not for the impatient.

Went to this little place for a late afternoon meal. Kelly was very efficient and friendly! Meals were made quickly and were delicious. The milkshakes are wonderful!! Thanks for making out visit great :-)

Popped into the Conwy Pantry for coffee & cake; & was not disappointed. The staff were very polite & were very quick to take my order. I opted for a cappuccino & slice of Lemon drizzle cake, which duly arrived; the cake was nicely presented & was very tasty.

Visited on a very busy Sunday. Staff looked a little flustered while clearing tables for waiting customers. Our order was taken by a young girl who didn't seen very happy to be there. Maybe it was because it was so busy.

We had just been to see Plas Mawr ( hope I have spelt it right) we fancied a coffee before carrying on, so we popped in.

Very clean. Efficient service. Food was good but we felt over priced. Would not choose to eat there again due to this.

Dropped into this Love to eat restaurant in conwy by accident after saying never again after yesterdays bad experience in Llandudno .

This place looks lovely from the outside and inside. Ordered 2 toasted teacakes and I ended up with a millionaires shortbread as no flapjacks left (12.00pm). Tea, coffee and a bottled drink.

I can't comment on the cooked food as we only had a pot of tea with toasted tea cakes, scones etc. All was presented well and tasted good.

Went in with younger brother (age 9), whos diabetic therefore needs toilet due to diatery needs and they got arsey as toilets were for "paying customers only". Paid for drink as i walked out but wouldnt go again due to miserable staff.

Nice bright cafe. Not sure about the sandwiches served on overly thick sliced bread .This always seems to me spoiling the ship for har"porth of tar .More filling less bread please Also salad garnish ok but brown edged lettuce probably 1/2 days past its best .

The staff were very friendly and helpful but unfortunately the food was overpriced as well as over cooked.

Called in for coffee with the kids. They couldn’t have been more accommodating to keep the kids and us happy. Lovely coffee.

Don't order the beef burger, it's really chewy. Wouldn't recommend the chips either but the staff are helpful.

Fab place for coffee and cakes, great service and lovely staff! One the nicest coffees I had in long while! Lovely laid out tables inside! Gem of a place!

After trying several other places that were busy or closed we went in here. It’s waitress service and the waitress was very nice and friendly with everyone.

Nice clean coffee house with character. A great place to hop into for a brew once off the train before adventuring into Conwy.

Shambolic. Service dreadful. Very rude member of staff. Did not stay for drink or meal, as I think we'd still be there if we had. Member of staff had appalling attitude when we said we were leaving. Avoid.
