Great freshly cooked food served with a smile. A well run local business which appreciates customers and serves a nice variety of fresh food

Found this welcoming and friendly place whilst staying locally. Huge fresh malt bread toasties with festive fillings, so yummy we went back again. Lovely hot coffee too. We’ll worth a visit, there’s local art and crafts for sale and little weigh shop in the back - we treated ourselves to some chocolate treats, which were all made locally.

Walked the Strawberry line and stopped here for lunch. Really lovely lunch, great price. Friendly greeting and good service. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I had a Sunday lunch takeaway from the Den a couple of weeks ago. We both had roast pork, and got three good slices of loin plus a very crunchy piece of crackling each. The Yorkshire puddings were large, but a wee bit doughy, the roast parsnips and potatoes excellent and the cabbage was delicious. Large tubs of gravy flavoured quite strongly with thyme. Recyclable containers.

Delivery was on time, great customer service, food was hot and tasted amazing! Big portions in case your feeling extra greedy, would highly recommend.

Popped in here for breakfast whilst visiting the area and honestly don't have a single negative thing to say. Great value for money, really yummy (great fried bread) and friendly staff.

We have been to the fork n ale many a time and have always thoroughly enjoyed it, raved about it to our friends and family and even had our sons 16th birthday celebration here as it’s his absolute favourite….however after visiting this week we were very disappointed with the change of chef/menu. Although the food we had was good, it was not amazing like it was before and certainly won’t be rushing to go back. We are so sad about this. Staff were still super friendly and it’s still a great atmosphere but food was normal pub food in my opinion.
