Lovely casual dining experience, in bright vibrant surroundings. Great fresh ingredients cooked really well, and plentiful portions. Fiona, the owner, was an absolute delight too. We shall return.

Ideal for a pre-theatre meal . Service is quick and friendly and food is very tasty and good value. A downer is the website which says "view full menu" but does not then show it. Also the wine menu lists just three reds but we received a replacement without notice (although it was fine.)

We had a nice meal here, the food was good value for money and the staff were friendly and efficient. Unfortunately our evening became very unpleasant when an argument ensued between the owner/cook and one of the waitresses, it was alarmingly loud with extremely offensive, abusive language being used. Very unprofessional, arguing over something that had already happened and could have been discussed when customers had left! A table had been given 10% off to pay cash so that a delivery driver could get paid!!

Friendly welcome and good food. Highly recommended. The half-term army of trainee waiting staff were a credit to the restaurant 😂.

Went in after taking in Folkestone air show. Staff were plentiful and attentive. Sadly the food was ok at best. Restaurant devoid of atmosphere; felt like a Wimpy or similar. Might have forgiven this if food was anything to write home about but it wasn’t.

As regular visitors we decided on a takeaway to celebrate a family members birthday & wasn't disappointed. Food arrived hot & was very tasty too. Would recommend 100%. ( Missed the complimentary olives though)

We booked a family meal at Conchitas following fantastic reviews and everyone is right, this restaurant is fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious, very generous portion sizes and very good value for money. We shared the nachos to start, between 4 of us, such good value at just under £6. 4 different main meals, all absolutely delicious and everything got eaten and 3 different desserts, again all yummy and again all finished. Service was good too, food came out quickly and staff were very attentive. We will most definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you! Definitely book though - we saw quite a few people come in but the restaurant was already fully booked so book to avoid any disappointment!!

Not sure where to start? The awful front of house waitress could single handedly ruin this business. We went for my nieces 18th birthday. Ordered drinks, mine didn’t come so I politely reminded the waitress when she took our food order. She immediately blamed the bar tender. No harm done, it’s an easy mistake to forget a drink from an order but do own it, don’t blame someone else. After all she’s serving our table not the bartender so she can see there’s a glass missing. Mains arrive over a period but not my nieces food. And then 2 more tables are served their food so I ask where hers is. After all we’re there for her birthday. Reasonable question and I’m justified to be a little disappointed as a reasonable time had lapsed and our plates were getting cold. It was also evident that she had missed the meal entirely and moved on to the next table. Same waitress tells me now it’s the chefs fault and she will take it off the bill. Now I want to make it clear that free food wasn’t what I wanted. I wanted all the food at the same time! So I told her it wasn’t really good enough and the waitress turned really rude and aggressive. She said that nothing was good enough and implied that I was being difficult. It’s a birthday meal and to ask for everyone to eat together shouldn’t be a problem. Why she couldn’t just own up to maybe having a shocking night or being forgetful ii don’t know?There were 7 of us in our party not 17. The steaks we all ordered were over cooked and coupled with her appalling attitude I felt that I couldn’t let it go. I approached the waitress to say that I wasn’t happy with the way she had spoken to me only to receive a barrage of verbal abuse and to be physically surrounded by waitresses and their friends and taken outside with the door locked. Thankfully my sister came to try and diffuse the situation but this sort of customer intimidation is really awful to experience. At one point she screamed ‘I’m at 35 year old woman and don’t need to be told how to do my job!’ Clearly she does as she’s absolutely appalling at it and costing the business money hand over fist. We decided not to mention the further drinks that the same waitress had forgotten- I’m sure she would’ve blamed someone else anyway. After we’d finished (- nobody cleared their plate as the damage was done) we asked if we could give my niece her cake. They had cleared some of the plates away but it felt deliberate that they’d left half of the dirty plates on the table and still brought up the cake. Of course we had to go and get cake plates for ourselves for fear of more altercations with the vile waitress. At the end of the meal the same waitress took off the cost of the late dish, a drink and 20%. Something I didn’t ever want and she totally missed the point . All we wanted was some good customer service, not excuses and attitude. I appreciate her trying to make amends but I can’t believe she’s allowed to work front of house with a temper like that. Needless to say I won’t be going back. Ever.

We absolutely love Conchitas. We go very regularly and have never been disappointed by the food! The portions are incredibly generous and it’s always delicious! It is without a doubt our favourite takeaway, and I often purchase vouchers as gifts for friends and family. Gave 4 stars because it would be nice to have a small bag of tortilla chips, or a bottle of soft drink that comes with the takeaway. It isn’t the cheapest takeout and other takeaway outlets similar to the price (Indian, Chinese etc) all come with free extras like poppadoms and prawn crackers. It would just be a nice touch. Apart from that it is excellent.

Being the only Mexican Restaurant in Folkestone, my daughter and I decided to try it out as we love Mexican food. We were pleasantly surprised with the arty interior decor and the food was absolutely delicious. We even made room for deserts, even though we were full. Lovely to return to Conchitas and see the beautiful newly refurbished restaurant. It feels very spacious and well laid out. The food is excellent, as always. We had the chicken and chorizo sizzling and hot. Friendly and helpful staff, fabulous food and good to see that everyone is taking current precautions seriously. That makes everyone feel safe with customers wearing masks to the table and exiting. The newly enlarged restaurant allows them to make the tables socially distant so you feel safe. Good to see the restaurant prospering in these difficult times. Virtually full. Glad we booked. Well done and thank you.

We are never disappointed with our time here.... Cant fault the staff very tentative caring and having the ability to name you feel welcome... The new look Conchitas was worth the wait, as what a lovely space to enjoy food... light airy good space probably down to the current rules.. adhering to all the requirements track and trace, sanitizer etc.. We loved our food plenty of, tasty and as ordered, so not disappointed.... cost wise very fair, and defo returning ... Thank You.

I cannot praise this restaurant enough. We loved everything about it. It's in a perfect location, has beautiful modern interior, very friendly and efficient staff, and the food was delicious. They also have amazing coctails which go so well with the mexican dishes. I wish I could dine there every day.

Described as authentic Mexican but there was nothing to suggest this from the staff or menu. The 'chicken sanduba' was a school dinner quality overcooked chicken burger, surprising that it was not served on a paper plate. Coleslaw was of poor quality and no effort appeared to be made for presentation. We were overcharged on our receipt and had to ask to change this. Can only expect the high reviews is due to few good alternatives in this town. Would recommend avoiding this place.

We visited Folkestone on Sunday and this was the nearest restaurant to our hotel. We both had a steak which was very big but a bit boring and if I visited again I would maybe have the Mexican food on the menu as it looked more interesting. Overall I would recommend this restaurant. The staff were friendly and the place was clean.

Came here on a whim while staying in a nearby holiday park with family. Had no idea what to expect but the decor, food, cocktails and service was beyond exceptional! It’s so hard to find good Mexican food in the UK but this was definitely the best we’ve ever had. Lots of great vegan and vegetarian options as well and great prices.

OMG! Where do I start!! This restaurant is AMAZING! The staff are so friendly helpful and are happy to do anything for you. The food is outstanding and such amazing value for money. We are down here revisiting my past and showing my children my childhood home, schools etc and having such a lovely time! The best Mexican food I’ve had in a very long time and very reasonable price wise!The place has been refurbished during lockdown and it looks great, authentic, quirky, bright and beautiful! The staff were really attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We can’t wait to visit again.As I was writing this I saw a recent 1 star review from a visit last year, if you see it please ignore it! This place is so so good and that review doesn’t reflect the place at all. I’d also say leaving a 1 star review within a pandemic where everyone is struggling, from a visit a year ago says more about that individual!I’ve no affiliation with this restaurant just one very happy customer! Last night we went out for the first time after the lockdown. What an experience the place absolutely spotless I felt so safe no problem you couldn’t fault it. I’m 100% sure corona safe and free. Now the food was also out standing starter and main 100%. Very delicious. The staff so friendly and very helpful it’s the place where you feel like you there again n again.

I had first very good experience hence I thought it was a good choice.I appreciate we didn't book, but we been aksed to sat on that table next to the main door so we had people coming in going and going out all the time, disturbing us during our meal. It was also a cold evening and we both got sick due to the cold air coming every time someone was opening that door.A young couple who come after us didn't book a table too and they were sat in a much more better place away from the door.Food good but took ages to come out despite there were just a few people.Shame, very disappointing and will never dine there again. Hospitality and good customer service is same important as the food.Please take also this chance to renovate this place as there are very few dirty spots and old dated feature in the dining area.

11 of us booked in for a 50th birthday celebration meal. I haven't eaten much Mexican food before, but most certainly will in the future. They have quite an extensive menu. The food was superbly cooked, and no-one was kept waiting for food or drinks. The staff were very busy. and friendly. Considering the amount of different meals that were ordered, I'm surprised they coped so well.There were other diners in the place, and the atmosphere was totally relaxed and happy. The restaurant is not particularly large, but large enough, and with an extention being added to the back, ready for the summer, hopefully will be ready next time we visit.Only 6 mins walk from the Seacliff Hotel.
