Comptoir Libanais in Manchester

If you are looking to have Lebanese food it’s definitely not the place to be some kind of fusion can’t be specific if Latin or African but surely not middle eastern, especially not Lebanese .

I was really excited to try this place, but unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. The portion sizes were extremely small, especially considering the high prices. The taste of the dishes, particularly the hummus and tabbouleh, was far from authentic Lebanese. They just didn’t have the right flavor or quality I was hoping for. On top of that, the restaurant wasn't flexible at all when it came to making simple changes to the plate. Overall, I left feeling unsatisfied and disappointed. Not worth the money

Meh just about sums it up. Had the meh-zze platter. A bland and uninspiring selection, redolent not so much of the middle East, but rather the chiller cabinet at Sainsbury's. Is it unreasonable to expect, for example, that the hummus in a middle eastern restaurant should be made in house so you can taste the earthiness of chickpeas, a hint of cumin, the nutiness of tahini, the tang of lemon juice and olive oil, a hint of garlic... with a satisfyingly creamy but slightly coarse texture. Instead it appears to be anaemic supermarket slop. Which just about sums up the whole meh-zze experience. Luckily I was hungry - It filled me up at least... And let's just not mention the pickle selection. Other than to say: IT SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!

Very bad staff and customer service. Charged for what not ordered. Avoid and check the bill.

Highly recommend the private rooms for a group booking. Food was lovely, especially enjoy the starters all coming out as sharers! Great atmosphere

My husband and I loved it there. We chose to go in because it was a dog friendly restaurant and immediately felt super comfortable there. We enjoyed the cosy and colourful atmosphere. It's a lovely place. Joseph and the other waiter were very welcoming and friendly. We also enjoyed the food very much, everything that we ordered was delicious and had a wonderful mix of flavours. It was presented with a lot of care and attention to detail. Thank you to all the team for your service and food preparation, we'll definitely be back!

Came here for a big work Christmas do, we had Elizabeth serving about 30 of us and she was so amazing and welcoming. She made the night and we all were left chatting about nice she was. Will be coming back again, 10/10

Despite turning up earlier than expected, we were still accommodated for. The service, food and hospitality was amazing and we were very well taken care off. Martha was especially helpful!

Christmas meal with work, really tasty food, friendly service, good selection of alcohol free cocktails and options. Marta was great at bringing everything we asked for, and remembering who wanted what at a large table!

Wonderful experience. Delicious Lebanese food then eaten with the good Geno next door makes the experience even more unique. It's a shame that this time Mauriziaccio didn't come too. But I'm sure that next time he'll be one of us!

Beautiful presentation, good portion size.

I recently visited Comptoir and while the food was undeniably tasty and full of authentic flavors, the portion sizes left something to be desired. Considering the smaller servings, I found it slightly overpriced for what was offered. That said, the quality of the food was excellent, and I would still recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy good Lebanese cuisine.

The food was incredible, the staff very friendly, David, a very nice guy, served us. The restaurant is very nice.

Awful customer service both on the end of the restaurant and just eat. I never received my order despite to driver registering the order as ‘delivered’ on the just eat tracking after a whopping 2 and half hours of waiting. Awful.

I would expect more for the taste of the food per my experience comparing to other Lubanese restaurants. Portions of the food might be bigger per price. On the other hand, service and the atmosphere were really nice.

The venue is designed very well! It was cute to see Halloween decorations over the flowers. I ate falafel, potatoes and lamb, and drank a tahini coffee drink—all of it was so delicious! We were served by Elizabeth and she was friendly and accommodating, and despite it being busy she timed everything very well!

I loved this place. Great authentic food, the shish tawook was good. They have outdoor heating and arabic music playing in the background so the vibe was really nice. And a special thanks to the sweet server, Izca. She took care of us and was very friendly.

Incredible food, love Comptoir in London and this was my first time trying the one in Manchester. Loved it!! Kamel was our server and was incredibly helpful and kind. Wonderful service!
