Staff are superb. Costa head office really ought to be focusing on making sure your staff are happy. Being constantly short staffed an running your business is running them into the ground. You have some absolutely fantastic employees that make each and EVERY visit genuinely brilliant. Don't let your staff down. They need recognition for the graft they put in each an every shift. Don't loose any more good employees. You have lovely humans working for you. Remember that.

Went during morning, for breakfast, treated myself to my free drink, and my Treat Drop. Macaroni was nice and warm, drink wasn't overly bitter, with the additional shot of coffee. Also, people who complain on the straws supposedly being 'unusable' are ridiculous, I prefer non-paper straws as well, but it's not that bad. Just don't destroy the thing.

I always go for coffee with my my 2 year old son and friends 3 or 4 times a week .But the manager is not friendly at all, keeps complaining every time when we show up because of my son he is a child sometimes he speaks loud but I manage him to be quiet but this lady always complaining as I know is a free place where everyone can go and have a drink for half an hour I do not stay longer than that but this lady keeps telling me I have to keep my child quiet even though he is playing and having fun with his toys . I’m aware that he might disturb other costumers but I don’t stay there if he don like to stay because even I don’t feel comfortable when he makes noise .But I don’t like the way they keep telling me how to educate a 2 year old all that she knows very well that I leave when my son starts to be noisy .It looks like this lady doesn’t like kids but is not my fault for that if this lady don’t like noise she can quit and leave the place to someone else because a coffee shop isn’t quiet at all people speak loud and make noise but I don’t complain because if I want peace stay at home don’t go to a coffee shop . I want leave it with this review I will complain to the owner and take other action about this because isn’t the first time this happened . I’m very disappointed with this manager because she keeps complaining for a two year old .And this happened only when the lady is in,other days is fine other staff members are nice and friendly

Very clean new costa shop and very big cozy sofas

Been going here since it opened and is far the best costa I go to. Coming from a person that drinks 3 cups of costa aday and drink at different coffee shops daily. I am disheartened that cath and some other staff are talked bad about because I'm here alot and never heard them being rude to anyone unless the customer is really rude with them and expect miracles from them the Coffees are on point, cleanliness is on and staff are on point 🥰❤️

You should stop telling your customers that you're getting into trouble with head office because people are complaining about your rude staff members. Stay professional, and if your staff requires additional member service training, take it and re-train if need be if you want to progress in your career as a barista. A cup of coffee/café is for people to wind down but the rudeness just winds people up. I use the Costa machine in the Morrison's petrol station across the road now and drink my coffee in my car. You're stirring constant trouble with your gossip.

The place is beautiful, but unfortunately I came to this branch more than once because it is close to my house, but because of the crowded faces of the employees, they make me feel uncomfortable, as if they are forced to work and their way. It's very rude. I brought almond milk with me one day because I am allergic to lactose and coconut, and I asked her to put the almond milk I brought with me, but she refused with contempt and sarcasm. I don't have a problem with the laws and that they can't add outside milk. I respect that, but I wish you would tell me the no in a better and more subtle way, and not with sarcasm and disdain. So I started going to another branch, although it is far from my house, but I prefer it because of the positivity and fun of the place

my wife has been talking about a rude lady that works in here which she had an altercation twice already, server is called Cath older lady, kinda short with glasses and dark hair. So i went in to order and sit in to observe, and they're all rude tbf grumpy looking middle aged women. they just gossip in the back all day whilst all the tables and counter are filthy. not so welcoming either. Marco Reas next door has more variety and everyone is friendly and has manners.

Honestly the cleanest store I’ve visited the toilet is spotless this store really strives to keep the cleanliness at an all time high , well done guys !! Fantastic team always friendly and welcoming even under pressure of being packed with moaning customers over the smallest thing they all Handle themselves professionally! Credit to the brand

Nice place to have a quiet drink and snack, or meet up with a friend

I live near by for over two years I always buy my coffee from this branch. Today I went to set but they kick my out because I have a costa coffee from Ashton branch and wants me to buy now for another coffee where I explain I am going to finish this cup and ordering another one. The manager kick me where she see my face every day, that’s really makes me feel bad even to small in her face in the past.

Visited fhe store on Wednesday 8th March 2023, at 5 pm, a woman with a scarf on her head was so rude to the team and her kid was running around the store whilst she was busy chatting! Then she tried to make a scene and threatened the team there as they stopped her from going upstairs as it was all moped and cleaned, she was absolutely out of the line but the manager dealt with it professionally and dismissed her out of the store. lovely service and great drinks the 2 girls were working very hard yet were very friendly and helpful.

I went at 5:30. Dana said I can only have in take away cups as they’re closing soon. An hour before and yet she couldn’t give me normal glass mugs. The table was a mess, I had to ask for it to get cleaned. Not coming here again. I used to work at costa and our store was NEVER like this. This is a real shame. Costa has dropped in service massively. I parked right outside which was good. Thought it’d be a good chill. Clearly not.

Counter service not available. Had to wait awhile. Assistant not helpful and made us feel very unwelcome

Absolutely tasteless ingredients. I ordered the pigs under blankets. Could not taste a thing. What stuffing?.. (and I haven’t got a cold) I Don’t mind paying well for good quality ingredients. But I hate being ripped off for tasteless rubbish.

We bought a cup of coffee and english breakfast tea but just 15 mins later the staff came and asked us to leave cos it was their busiest time or gave us option to buy another drink so we can stay little longer. Never seen that kind of coffee shop in the world

Visited this Costa today lovely service until I went to sit on a table outside that had dirty cups and a tray on it . I decided to be nice and take them in so I could enjoy my coffee with my daughter . When I got to the staff to give them their dirty pots I was told to leave it on the table next time . A thankyou would of been nice . Its nice to be nice rude doesn't cut it with me . Do your job and I won't need to love.

Always a delight to come to costa coffee openshaw. Fast and the the coffee are beautiful what a lovely team there very friendly. And just before I type this review I have noticed the negative comments have been in track and trace time .so obviously the team made them do track and trace and they dint like it . Well 5* Girls keep up the good work .

Used to be welcoming now they won't even give a reusable cup a rinse. Claim they aren't allowed yet every other costa can.

They are sooo slow, always busy chatting and parading around like some kind of coffee shop gods giving orders. Also for some bizarre reason if you can't scan the nhs tracking app they will not serve you, yet other shops will happily put your details down on paper this is discrimination not everyone especially the older generation carry cellphones 🙄 But theres plenty of free parking outside.....

I been in that Costa café this morning and I left with a big disappointment. I order a coffee and the ladies on the shift asked me to scan something. I couldn't with my phone and also I didn't had internet, and they told me if I don't visit that site they will not served me. I just left and I been to coffee shop next door. I never had that problem even in other Costa café. Congratulations

The app didn't work on a 50p offer day but the very nice lady sorted it and gave us the deal anyway. Nice coffee aswell

Very slow service at the moment but didn't help an awkward customer messing about at till and asking for changes to everything then letting there kids run amok.

I visited this shop on 14_03_2021 at 13:50, the woman behind the counter spoke to me and my wife like absolute dirt because we wasn't stood on the designated spot, once we moved to the designated spot she continued to Stare at us with her arms crossed and then said in a stern voice "do we have a problem"? Me and wife just left. She had a dark hair and glasses, such a Shame because the rest of the team are Fantastic, won't be coming back

Florence House Medical Practice - We have used this branch on a number of occasions as we enjoy a Friday morning treat in our surgery where we work & on a number of occasions after ordering through uber our order has either been wrong or a drink has been missed. On the first occasion my colleague had to go & collect the missing drink which shouldn't have to be done & they gave us free cakes to apologise, again still not good enough. It has happened again today so I phoned up to complain I spoke to the store manager Dana who was extremely rude and said just get a refund through uber!!! Will not be using again, absolutely disgusting service & a very rude unhelpful store manager.

Great service staff are very helpful and friendly there is no longer seating due to covid-19. Drinks are made fast and alwayyyss taste amazing. My favourite Costa by far. There are also plastic screens over the counter to help stop the spread of coronavirus. I have allergies so I just ask the staff to check ingredients in a new drink I'm buying and they will happily do it. Literally the nicest staff ever 😁😄

Love costa coffee, but I've put a lower rating as I'm fed up of the queue being as long as it is because they're concentrating on the uber orders before the people in the shop. I think if they're going to do a delivery service then they should have someone who does them and another person who deals with the shop.

3 people working behind the counter and the service is so slow. I had 3 people being served in front of me and it took them 11minutes before I got served. They should pay more attention to the customer rather than talking. Every time I go the the city centre they serve double amount of customers, in half the time and the same amount of staff. Edit: the egg sandwich came all soggy. Just had to throw it away as I couldn't be bothered to go and wait in the slow moving line. By the way, it was expired on the 24th

GOLD REVIEW: Their Frappes are amazing, especially strawberry. Hot chocolates are more authentic than Starbucks imho, extra points if they are Hazelnut or Black Forest flavoured with cream and a flake.

Went in today not up to scratch I had a medium hot chocolate it had a really funny taste in it I would have took it back but the queue was long it was shocking it was either the milk or the cup hadn't been washed

I normally love it here but today they put strawberry pieces on my Black Forest hot chocolate without asking and I do not like that.

Always a pleasant visit and well worth a visit if you need a coffee /cake break. The staff are friendly on the whole but there are times when they could do with moving a little quicker. This shouldn't stop you from popping in though, the laid back approach isn't always a bad thing. There are plenty of seating areas spaciously laid out over 2 floors and there is music playing in the background. There are toilets upstairs and a disabled one at the back of the cafe downstairs.

One of the best costas, polite staff and always clean

Expensive coffees for those that like to be seen holding a cup with costa coffee written on. Maybe tea will take off like it one day and people will start paying £5 for a cup of tea with a frothy head containing their initials. Doubt it.

Nicest barista ever. Went in to buy a hot chocolate, and an empty cup to put in my Mums coffin as she loved costa. The lady behind the counter gave me a cup for free, then upgraded my drink to large.

A strange one. Though it's always busy the service is fast and friendly, and while it looks like there isn't enough seating there is some really nice clean and comfy seats that mostly go unused upstairs. I go here on my days off, as there isn't another good coffee bar in town (no, really) and I always have a pleasant time.

Went here with my 3 kids, was very busy but I was served very quickly. Staff were amazing.. drinks were fantastic Would definitely recommend coming to this store.

Lemon muffin hard round the edges, too long on display ? Asked for extra hot cappuccino but came warm ? Dont use this Costa often, alway's seems quiet maybe that explains service. As a regular Costa customer the extra hot request very often falls on deaf ears !!

Pathetic. Dumb and Dumber at 11am today. Son requested two coffees to stay in...got two to take out...I took them back and they were tipped into glass mugs. They were not busy so there was no excuse for not fulfilling an order and under the circumstances two fresh coffees should have been served. FURTHER TRAINING NEEDED...LISTEN TO WHAT THE CUSTOMER SAYS !!!!!!
