Revolution Oxford Road in Manchester

Can't recommend this place enough. Great pizzas, brilliant cocktails and always a great vibe in there. That coupled with the friendly and super efficient staff they have is always the beginnings of a great night out! A big THANK YOU to all at Revolution on Oxford Road.

Decent enough bar without being amazing. Pros are its not rammed and does sell a decent range of drinks being a Revolution. Cons its not that busy or big and for me personally at 30 I found I was far to old as its in studentville. Sadly given its small and Manchester is littered with amazing places to go its not somewhere I'd recommend. Not an awful place just 'okay' but Manchester for a night out is incredible and there's loads of other options within 30-60secs better I'm afraid.

Good value. Food was excellent, especially the pizza. Vibe was pleasant and relaxing. The wait for the food was longer than expected. We got 2 cocktails which looked great but didnt taste of much. Overall I would recommend for a lunch time option if you're in the area.

Door guys made up some weak excuse about a friend having cuffed pants (not listed in their code) and refused entry. Many other less pigmented folks seemed to have no trouble getting in without following the supposed dress code.

Had a lovely time. The atmosphere was incredible, staff so friendly, especially Jack. He was very polite and knowledgeable on all the cocktails. Will definitely be coming again!!

Posting on here because the cocktails are bloody incredible! All the staff incredibly nice too! Give a shout-out and a raise to the nice lad who served us Jack, he just went above and beyond with all of us and he seems to know his stuff!! It was okay. The tables didn't have numbers to order from the app but it was quite enough to go to the bar. Not my favourite revs but the staff were nice

Came for the quiz night and Jack looked after us at the bar. He was brilliant and down to earth. Make sure you get Jack to serve you if you come here! Brilliant barman!

It was ok drinks wise, bit rude on the table booking side of things as paying customers being ushered around bookings where people didn't even turn up. Anyway... The food... The fish and chips was actually alright for £2.99. The fries with cheese and like a truffle gravy were bloody awful. Two pizzas with pepperoni added on looked ok but once we tried them... It was like the forgot to put the pizza in the oven..just raw dough... Never again.

Incredible price-quality nexus. Friendly staff and lots of choices. Definitely, will come back.

The BEST revs. Great service, warned us of potential long wait on food, but it came quicker than that anyway. Lovely bar staff. 10/10, will definitely be back!

Went here for a pre show (Heathers The Musical at the Palace Theatre) drink and meal with my wife and daughter. I bought an online Groupon deal for burger or pizza with choice of cocktail for 2, cost £25 which was good value. My daughter picked some stuff of the main menu, had a non alcoholic cocktail and a lemonade which cost around £20. So in total £45 for all 3 of us I thought was good value. The food was nice and tasty, the cocktails were great and the staff were amazing. It's a lively venue and you get a good mix of people, it was busy when we went but the staff are very good and keep the cocktail orders flowing, whilst taking the food orders. We visited around 5pm onwards and it was a perfect venue and location for the Palace Theatre which is just across the road, about a 2 min walk. A special mention to the lady behind the bar, I think she was the Manager, she worked her socks off. From making cocktails, taking food orders and sorting any small problems, she was fabulous.

Wouldn’t recommended this location at all, tried to contact regarding my experience and haven’t heard a thing.

Drinks were very well made but the floor was rather wet. The atmosphere was lacking for a Revolution Bar but that might be in comparison to others I've been to.

Across two different visits there were two quite different experiences. The first visit was during the evening, we had a great gentleman help us since the app wasn't working correctly. Sorted out our food order and was friendly each time he brought drinks around, talking to us about stuffed animals and stuff. Our second experience was for lunch, we ordered on the app and just ordered fries. While other two other tables (that came in after us and were being given gift bags) were getting their food ahead of us, we waited over half an hour just to get one small portion of fries.

Good for a beer. Much better places elsewhere for food.......

Staff were lovely I realised there was no vegan cheese pizza option on app but the man working said he would check and was able to put through an order for us! Was very happy as I just arrived in Manchester and was very hungry and didn’t wanna leave to go find another place for food! We ended up staying for drinks after as well

You know what you're getting with Revs, this is a fairly good one. Reliable in terms of food, drinks and service.

This Revolution is offering £2.99 meals at the moment. Just simple food but great price if you are looking for a bargain. Hopefully it will get better with more customers. Go check it out.

I went to revolution twice and everytime it gives me suprise. The first time I went there because MUAS held a karaoke activity there and I was suprised by their friendly bartender and their awesome drinks. I was not too hungry that day so I tried a corn dog, it was delicious! Since then I want to try make it myself but because I am so lazy so I give up this idea. Second time I went there was because I tant to celebrate the end of exam season with my friend. We had some really good time singing in the bar and tried some weird drink--I would never try that again, I paid for my curiousity. Every flavor was a torture to me but that is because we ordered "weird and wonderful" collection. ALL NORMAL DRINKS ARE GREAT. I would definatly recommend this place to my friends.

Service was pleasant at all times but seemed rushed for such an early on visit. Cocktails were amazing and well presented as were the grazers however both chicken and beef burgers were overcooked and dry.

It's a total disaster. I ordered long island tea. No shaking, wrong recipe. I can see them only add lemon juice and another one wine. Then fill with coke. definitally not recommond.

Went for pre-booked bottomless brunch and had a great time! Service was fantastic, drinks & food were delicious. Atmosphere was great, music was just loud enough so we could have a conversation. 10/10 would definitely recommend and will definitely be visiting again soon

Sticky floor and cocktails were not well made, which is very infuriating since they are minimum £9.

Great place to pop in for food and drinks before an event. Drinks are good and quick to arrive, and the soft drinks were brilliant value with the soda and lime being only £1 for a large glass. The food was tasty and plentiful. Our table asked for mayo which didn't come but wasn't a huge problem as the meals came with other sauces. Appreciate we visited on a Saturday evening, but did find music a little loud so was having to talk really loudly to hear each other. Would happily visit again.

We didn't stay long, apparently one of the chefs hadn't shown up and there was a question about the 2nd arriving and the 2nd wouldn't be there till at least 1pm, the earliest we would be eating would be probably at 2pm or later, there was lots of fizzy beers but I didn't see any ales i don't think they do ale, the staff were pleasant obviously the chef problem was out of their control.

Really don't remember 90% of being in here. It was a Sunday night, it was jam packed and the vibe was good. Maybe I'll go back and try again!

I had done a booking online for today 14th feb at 17.30, when i went there one of their staff member told me all the tables are reserved, even when the restaurant was half empty on ground floor. They were very rude in their approach. A white couple entered without a booking and they were given a table. Finally after an arguement they gave us a table on top floor which was empty. Racist staff. Avoid if you are not british, you will be discriminated..

Me and my partner came for afternoon tea and cocktails for Valentine’s Day. The place was very quiet when we arrived. We thought you was able to pick from standard, vegan or vegetarian when having the afternoon tea however the waiter brought it over without asking us anything about it. Luckily enough we was able to scrape the sauces off the food however we would have preferred it without the sauces. The food was very juicy and tasty. The waiter who was serving us for our time at revs we friendly however he came across as he was new when we questioned him about the cocktails he said he didn’t know which cocktails we could have with the afternoon tea and told us to choose any. Overall a good experience and something unique to do on valentines

Mucked up my bar tab. Food was tasty but small portion. All a bit of a shambles. Lots of offers on but small print wasn't clear enough so didn't know what we could have with each offer.

The food is good and prices are decent for a pub lunch in the center of Manchester. However, the portions are a bit small and there is always a wait on food even if there are only 4 people sat down.

We booked a Christmas party at Revolution Oxford Road. Lovely staff and great venue. However, we finalised how many people would attend/be eating a week before the party (66 people) and the amount of food served was definitely not enough for what we paid for. People did not have major portions and those who turned up late who had paid expecting food could not have any as there wasn’t any left. Vegan options were also not as described on the website. Disappointing.

Brilliant for an office Christmas party. We had a fairly large group, with lots of last minute changes, Revolution and especially Molly were so incredibly helpful! The food was great and they even helped us turn the money from one of the cancelled places into a bar tab. Absolutely outstanding service and we had a great time!

Had far to many cocktails good for buy one get one half price

Popped in for a quick lunch. Staff were polite but my meal was terrible. Chicken and bacon Caesar salad with no chicken (sent back, waited ages, to then have some weird crispy but soggy chicken added, and then no bacon… I gave up as we were in a rush and really hungry so just ate it. No discount offered at all. How hard can it be to include the 2 main ingredients. Very disappointing…food made by someone with no clue.
