Polystyrene takeaway trays 😡 It's 2022 and I find it so off putting that many companies care so little about the environment that they still use Polystyrene trays. Great food spoilt. I personally will NEVER be a returning customer of anywhere still using polystyrene. Which is a shame.

3.5 stars. Food was a 4 star. Side dishes were great,tasty and plentiful. The 1st meat platter we had was only a 3 star due to a new chef over cooking and over seasoning the food. 2nd platter we had was 4star. so thanks to the regular chef. Drinks were cheaper than expected. I gave a 3.5 star rating because when the bill came it had 40£ worth of other peoples drinks and food added to it. The issue was sorted out without any problems, so thanks for that. We will visit again though. Worth the visit

Cold meatballs....the owner called us liers and said they were sizzling and he cooked him themselves. They were cold, so bad cooking and bad management. 1 piece of beef. 1 sausage and 1 drumstick comes out for "all you can eat meat". I asked for more after waiting 30mintes (told would be 5) I was told that the owner would come speak to us. 30mins later still nothing and still not the food we ordered...but other tables food (wrong food) was brough over to our table twice...great covid safety :/ Eventually the owner said you can pay for a child's meal when we went for an all you can eat. I left hungry and angry. Staff have no clue which is probably as they are all very young and the attitude of the head waitress and owner was diabolical. Only thing worse than the staffs service is the owner approach to customer service. Do no eat here!

I really wouldnt recommend this place, firsty we got in sat down, everything was fine untill our side orders came out, we ordered our sides off the "hot sides" menu, they wasnt hot at all they was nearly cold like asif they had been left to sit in the back for while before being bought out to us, then we had our mains bought out to us which was the all you can eat meat, which was barley anything on the platter, so we ask for more specifically more beef and normal sausage, we ordered another side of chips to come out with the second lot of meat, the chips was bought out to us and was told the meat was going to be 5 minutes, after waiting around 20 minutes the wrong meat was bought out to us, so asked again, the food was never bought out to us, so at this point we never finished our sides because of waiting for the main meat to come out so most of our food was stone cold and wasted, we then asked to speak to the manager and was told by one of the 3 waitresses that was serving us that the manager would come to us, another 20 minutes later still nothing, so we then spoke to another waitress who was dealing with the manger, she told us that the manager was out and would let us pay for a childs discount, we thought that because of the terrible service and hardly any food served to us or barley eat we thought that there wasnt nothing to pay for other than the drinks we had, the manager decided to come down to speak to us and basically told us that we was lying about the food being cold, he was speaking to us in an unprofessional way and speaking in loud voice at us, he was speaking over the top of us and didnt let us explain properly of what we thought, i found him very rude and didnt feel bad for his staffs bad service, they tried to say that they was busy and thats why they was slow and tbh i was sat in the same room and at first they wasnt that busy and a few more people came in, there was a few tables free before we left, i told them that they shouldnt tell customers food will be 5 minutes if its going to be longer than that, there ws pleanty of staff i saw that could of easily bought the food over, im pretty sure we had 3 waiters waiting on us, so couldnt of been that busy, all in all the service was absolutely terrible and the manager didnt handle it very well at all.

The sunday roast used to be fabulous until we recently ordered a take away lunch, the quality has gone down hill, hard roast potatoes, my husband requested a choice of meats but we had one measley bit of pork each!! A few years back there was turkey , pork, and gammon, the plate was full of mushy veg, disappointing for the money!!

Good beer nice locals. Low sofas uncomfortable beer drinkers like a table chair and stool or stand up at the bar.
