I thought I’d enjoy an early coffee at this café this morning. Walking to the counter feeling in a positive mood I smiled at the member of staff whose job it was to serve me only if you met by what could be described at best as indifference and certainly no facial expression close to a smile. At that point, my feeling of contentment vanished. After having taken my payment, there was no further interaction from the member of staff who served me, neither a thank you nor even further eye contact. I concluded therefore that in order to receive my coffee I should then wait at the counter. In due course, my coffee arrived, it was delightful. I decided that it would be nice to sit outside and enjoy my coffee so I walked towards the terrace at which point I was met by a selection of wet table tops. Fortunately, the seats were actually dry. I was however briefly, pleased when the lady who had served me emerged from the café and asked another customer if he would like his table wiped she then proceeded to wipe another table but decided to stop short of wiping my table. I then gave the member of staff the benefit of the doubt, concluding that she was going to wring out her cloth and come back with a dry cloth. Sadly, this wasn’t to be the case because the member of staff decided for some inexplicable reason that I was not worthy of a dry table. I finished with my coffee having enjoyed it but left feeling really quite aggrieved by the disrespectful and rude attempt at service provided by the front of house.

Great coffee, terrible service. The staff didn’t engage with me, grunted instructions and offered neither a please nor a thank you. Didn’t look at me or smile. Hardly spoke. Service lessons could be learned from Gail’s. Won’t be coming back.

Good coffee, quality food. The shouting of orders is a bit off putting, and everything a bit overpriced but definitely one of the better coffee options in that part of Oxford.

It is a lovely rustic fresh goods store. A tad new on the Summertown scene. They have a robust menu of artisanal coffees/smoothies/fruit juices. I had a Mestiva( Very dark hot chocolate made from Colombian cacao) which unfortunately got to me cool so had to get home to reheat to embrace the flavours. Worth a visit. Definitely. Four years on and thriving. It has taken it's place on the Summertown cafe scene and indeed, is leading the park. Its got a farmshop feel to it with very authentic and fresh flavours swirling round I will certainly recommend a visit whenever in the area. I do too! I found this sign outside their doors quite... touching and true. Let's re-awaken humanity in the post CoVID world.

Really excellent place - the coffees (cappuccino, decaf latte, mocha, dirty chai) and food (avocado toast, cheese & spinach omelette, pain au chocolate, ham & cheese croissant, pistachio croissant) were great. The service was professional, friendly and quick. Highly recommend. If we had been in oxford for more than two days we would have gone back to try more of their food - it all looked amazing.

I have been staying since Monday for work in a nearby hotel, of course I couldn't miss getting to know this corner of Colombia and I have been pleasantly surprised with the quality of the coffee, I really approve that it is Colombian coffee and the service is very welcoming because there is staff Colombian there. Camila was patient in helping me choose a baguel, since they all looked great.

I have visited this cafeteria 3 times this week, the service in this cafe has been incredible, thanks to Camila who had excellent service, pleasant staff and very concerned about the attention. Also the barista team and the food excellent.

Today I found this place as a new neighbor of summertown, I ate the best salmon focaccia of life, the spectacular coffee worthy of being Colombian. They speak Spanish, they have a team that is too top that makes you feel at home. CONGRATULATIONS. ;)

Food ok , the rudest , least interested staff I have ever met . Will not go back

I ordered salmon with my breakfast and it was not on my plate. I told the waiter who didn't understand and didn't rectify the issue. For that money I expect better service

Great food in an accessible environment! I decided to try this cafe after I started using a wheelchair, as my previous regular spot wasn't accessible. Colombia was incredible! I got a muffin and a oat milk flat white (delicious) and brought home a cinnamon roll for my partner. He likes them more than our previous 'favourite' place. He even stopped in the next day to check it out for himself. The staff was also super friendly and helpful with me finding the toilet and the other customers were even happy to help me get settled at a table. It's just a really great atmosphere. I live in Kidlington, but it's worth the bus ride in.

Really lovely atmosphere they always treat me and my friends nicely. If you speak Spanish also great place as most of the workers also speak Spanish!

Cosy coffee store in Summertown. I usually have a chai tea that's made to perfection. Their light bites include bagels, omelette, pastries, pancakes . A bit more expensive but totally worth the money.

Good quality coffee, but recently started using a pager system to help manage their brunch and coffee orders. It probably helps efficiency, but not the most enjoyable place to enjoy a coffee or work with alarms going off every other minute.

I genuinely think this is Oxford’s best coffee shop. It has a really cool atmosphere, nice staff and extremely good quality coffee. I wanted to have a cold brew but as they didn’t have it on the day, they kindly suggested me an alternative, and I was so happy with my drink. It’s not too close to where I live, but I will definitely come back!

I love this place and come for a daily hot chocolate every time I'm in Oxford. The service is good. It's often hard to find an indoor table though because it's so popular and busy. Gloriously dog friendly. The hot chocolate is AMAZING.

Our little ‘happy place’ to visit on weekends, staff are always lovely and the food and drink from this independent coffee shop are incredible. They are also dog friendly both inside and out so everyone can enjoy a calm, friendly atmosphere. Definitely one to try!

The barista made a bunny on a cappuccino, which is worth five stars in itself. But on top of that, this is up there as some of the absolute best coffee in Oxford. There is only one, maybe two places I've been to with coffee as good as this.

Definitely, one of the best places to have coffee in Oxford. Not only is the quality of the food and coffee but the customer service and hospitality that makes Colombian Coffee Roasters a must-go place. I highly recommend the different varieties of coffee as well as the miscellaneous options of pastries. Don't leave Oxford until you stop by Colombia Coffee Roasters.

Love everything about this place, the quality of the coffee is great and the taste is amazing. The customer service is excellent and the employees always have the best energy, totally recommended.

Avoid this place. Zero customer service( coffee served on paper cup) for a supposedly niche coffee that tasted awful and was overpriced. Just ruined my evening. Too bad

Amazing to find the famous Colombia Coffee Roasters from cover market in a new location. There sitting area inside is comfortable and allows you to smell the coffee aroma, but on a sunny day you can also sit outside and enjoy and equally wonderful experience. Coffee couldn’t be better

It's a miracle that they make money ... so many people working in there for more than an hour for price of a coffee...

The savoury food is excellent! The cakes are average, the coffee served in the cafe is really nice and with a fabulous touch with different heart shapes that look incredible. What it puts me off is the lack of organisation amongst the staff. Nobody seems to put away the dirty cups and plates when the customers leave, no available cutlery for cakes or coffees. The staff looks so stressed that this really removes the enjoyment of a lovely Coffee.

I love this place 😍 It’s a family business. I got to meet Milly, the owner, she is from Colombia and is passionate about offering high quality coffee in her cafés. The place has Colombian vibes and it’s always well settled with fruits and fresh flowers. I could drink their oat milk iced latte everyday, it’s amazing. I love that they have all day brunch and they have several food options, so every time you go, you can try something different 😋. I have tried their lunch menu too and it is great.

Great service!! This place is always busy for a reason. Quality of food and drinks is top notch but the staff definitely make it stand out!!

Great place for a coffee and varied snacks and sandwiches

All round terrible service. They have limited milk options (only full fat dairy, oatly which is processed) so I got a smoothie which tasted poor quality like eating cheap frozen vegetables with way too much apple juice. The teapot they gave me was cracked and when I asked for another one they said they didn't have one which wasn't broken. The venue is just like a costa coffee. The staff were doing their best but they didn't seem to know what they were doing and seemed poorly managed. Note: I didn't have any coffee or food so maybe that's what they do best. I would have loved to try a coffee if only they had a decent brand of milk like rude milk.

Thank you guys! I just tried a few coffee shops in Oxford and every time I was disappointed a little, but the Colombia Coffee Roasters served the best coffee. It was amazing, the texture and the taste also. After drinking my coffee I bought a “Gentleman’s Espresso” coffee beans for my future coffee me times. I am satisfied, thanks a lot.

The coffee shop gets extremely busy with very limited staff. This means that the majority of tables are full of empty plates and cups and I stood around for 8 minutes for a coffee. They do a wide range of food that just isn't practicable in a really small kitchen and just 3 members of staff. To compensate for the lack of service, they provide everyone with beepers that beep once your coffee is done, which means all you hear is the equivalent of loud alarm clocks going off all the while, which doesn't allow you to relax. Invest in more staff and if the business wants to offer a wide range of food they need to have a think about the current kitchen and expanding it as my experience and others I spoke with wasn't great.

I love the place. However, I didn't like it for a while when a very loud girl used to work there, dancing around, playing her own dance/club/Russian music really loud playlist and singing along. It felt as if I was trespassing in her private lounge.

The coffee was really delicious and nice food choices but server was mean. I asked for Americano then after being given I kindly asked where the milk is placed so I could help myself presumably, the lady scoffed at me and said she asked me if i wanted black Americano before and I had said yes. then she continued to eye roll me even after I apologised and told her I am hard of hearing so misheard before, which made me feel very embarrassed and shocked so will not return unfortunately, please don't treat anyone like this because they have hidden disabilities.

Stayed at easy hotel across the street from here. By showing the room card you can get 10% discount. Cappuccino and hot chocolate they were so good. Spacious and comfortable! Was great space for reading the book.

The coffee they serve is amazingly good and the outdoor seating area makes it even more aromatic ( weather permitting )

I loved it, I ordered a cappuccino and a bagel with bacon and brie and it was perfectly delicious. And the service was super kind and helpful, they tried to speak calmly and explain everything about the coffees! I definitely recommend it and I will come back here ❤️

One of the best cafes in Oxford! Their baristas produce phenomenal filter coffees. They also have a huge selection of coffee beans. I highly recommend their Ethiopian or Rwandan beans, if you like fruity and citrusy notes in your coffee.

They have oat and almond milk, but zero vegan food. Coffee was really quick though and the staff were very nice.

(updated two years later) I've been a loyal customer for the past two years, especially since I've moved here, but I just had their avocado toast for the first time and it's the best in Oxford by far -- lots of avocado, not too much bread, simple but fresh and tasty, no notes. Is it overpriced? Not for Summertown -- Gail's is more expensive and it's a chain, independent cafés have more overheads. And the coffee is a success with my Italian dad!

First time yesterday, black Americono....excellent coffee, 9/10, would have been 10/10 but pricey.😃 Today.....watery and tasteless! 2/10😟 Go to Costas, always good and cheaper with a free coffee every 8 ppurchased😃👍

Great coffee. I had pancakes small portiom compared to the price of them. Felt crammed sitting in there. I imagine this would be a fantastic spot in warmer weather when you can make the most of the outside seating.

Best coffee in Summertown and a pleasant place to spend an afternoon. presume it is artisan or something so expect that kind of price range. The staff is friendly and serve well. It has a little store that offers interesting food items. The coffee never disappoints.

We stayed across the street at the Easyhotel, for a week and came here for coffee every morning. Hotel guests get a 10% discount. The staff were always friendly and the coffee consistently good.

I have bought coffee from here twice and on both occasions, I found one of the female cashiers to be quite rude.

This is our regular place, and I think it's the nest in Summertown. The coffee is delicious!
