Absolutely love the colliers. Linda the landlady is a diamond. Drinks are cheap and atmosphere is fab. Slush machine wasn't working this week for cocktails but had shots to compensate lol. Gonna try Sunday lunch soon because I've heard good things. X

Did not have food just a drink. The downside is it was cash only.

Good pint very good prices and with two happy hrs 2-3 &7-8; 30 pence off most drinks

Went to the Collier's Arms for a wake. Staff are lovely and the catering was very good. Only downside is that it's cash only, but easy to get cashback nearby.

Great food every time and have had a variety of dishes. The chips are fantastic and home cooked. The only downside is that the peas are always soft and overcooked

We were here on 2 occasion with the family for my mams wedding and for mams birthday on last Thursday for a meal the catering was spot on very friendly staff, dinners was delicious and Thursday 1st September for mams birthday the meals was reasonable priced and delicious again the staff was very friendly , I would definitely recommend this pub for food to anyone you won't be disappointed thank you very much we definitely be returning regular, I rate this pub 10 stars

On the arrival at the colliers Arms for the wake of a friends wife not knowing hardly anyone the welcome I received was lovely really good pub with friendly people.

Very nice pub good food friendly staff one down side is be prepared to pay with cash they do not accept debit cards or credit cards shame really as they probably lose trade due to the fact they don't have a card reader

Good friendly pub, with a popular Sunday lunch menu. Good for sports on the TV, beer prices reasonable. But disappointed the lounge had no background music and the heating was off and it was really cold. They have entertainment on Saturday night which is popular. UPDATE.... since last review a new landlady has taken over and has not only transformed the pub into a thriving local the community can be proud off. Live music, karaoke nights and the popular cards bingo shot quiz on Sunday afternoon. A full timetable of sport is available on the big screen in the lounge and on the TV's in the bar. Not forgetting the happy Hours. Well worth a visit. Plus the heating is on now.

Good service and very community based. Whenever you ask the stuff a question and they don't know the answer, there is no sweat; the steady customers step in and help you as much as they can. A very welcoming place.

Met friends for a liquid lunch, food and drinks were good.

Popped in on a Sunday afternoon, 1pm, expecting a wait. Seated within 2 mins, served within 2 minutes and food was placed on the table within 5 minutes!!!! Absolutely brilliant. Lovely food, simple selection and 2 adults, 2 kids meals, with dessert and drinks for under £30 is a bargain. Will be back, thank you

Excellent food, service was 20 minutes. Glamorgan beer on tap was exceptional. (And @ 2.50 a pint bargain). Staff full of fun and the pub was full of characters. I'd certainly go again when in the area.

Went here for the rugby on the 10th Feb 2018. Superb atmosphere. If your doing this, get in there early, it was packed.Even though, the staff were fantastic! No wait in getting served with a great pint of pull. After the match, which we lost to England, we had a sharer - great value and just ott for two.It's local for us, and we will be going here again. Good pints, good food, great crowd. What more do you need? Excellent!!!

Popped in for an afternoon meal before heading to Cardiff ordered 2 corned beef pies and 1 scampi-1 of the pies where ok but the other must have been left over from day before Pastry was hard plus scampi over cooked-only cost £4.95 but didn't really enjoy.

A great local friendly welcoming pub. Good food and friendly staff. The function room is perfect for up to 90 people. I have used this room for birthday parties and family get togethers. Great pint of Cobra on draft too. Really is a hidden gem of the Rhondda

Nice clean friendly pub. They have a singer every Saturday which brings in a good regular crowd. The pub also provide Sunday lunch and bar meals. Very good quality. Home cooked too. Only down side, one member of staff was quite ignorant to a customer, telling a lady 'll have to hang on (she was on her phone), then proceeded to slam their drink down, which I found appalling. Lacked customer service skills all round. But don't be put off, its just the one. All the other staff were friendly and helpful. Great little pub

Acceptable standard. £7.50 for regular size or plus £1.50 for a larger portion. Can get very busy and therefore a bit of a wait around 1 to 2 pm. Roast potatoes are a bit unusual, soft on the outside but dry inside? Nice mixture of vegetables. Wife enjoyed the beef.

I had my wedding party here on 23rd July, we had a small family gathering in the afternoon and then disco in the night. Claire arranged all of the decorations including table covers, runners, chair covers and bows and a centerpiece of fresh flowers. Then swapped all around again for the evening. The food was so cheap but beautiful, all my guests commented on the taste and size of the portions. Catered for 50 for the evening buffet we had over 100 guests show up and there was still heaps of food left. Couldn't recommend them enough for anyone who wants a more intimate low key wedding on a budget! I know I could have spent 10 times as much on a wedding reception and not enjoy as much as I did.

Always go out and about Porth on New Year's Day but this year we needed up in the Colliers, although it was pretty crowded and hard to find a seat for all of us, the atmosphere was amazing. We all had a great time. Drinks prices and entertainment were both pleasing, everything I want from a family outing!

A traditional welsh local pub with plenty of atmosphere, small bar area in which to relax and enjoy a drink. The larger separate lounge area has numerous TV's dotted around to watch sporting events and there is also a good bar menu. Upstairs they have a decent sized function room with it`s own bar, dancefloor, which is modern and relaxing.

This pub now has owners. The bar staff are friendly and helpful. Rugby days are fab. Free food half time then entertainment straight after. Saturday nights are also great. Again there's entertainment. Good all round pup 😊
