Great breakfast before the Eisteddfod

Nice surprise on our visit to the Eisteddfod, lovely cafe

Only passed this place i actually went next door to the florist it can be busy at times not sure about prices service or food.

Nice breakfast .clean and tidy there

Absolutely love this place. Food was fresh and delicious. Portion sizes are so large I asked for a takeaway box and they happily agreed. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Cool music and a chill atmosphere. Would recommend.

Went in today for breakfast, totally over cooked and when I asked to make another sausage fir my mum whos 70 as it was burnt and hard to cut, they refused. Very disappointed and as a regular customer there, I wont be returning.

A great place to dine, individually and also great for family.

Been several times now. I always tweak my order with small changes and they never get it wrong. Everything is fresh, nicely cooked and usually something extra on the plate. Coffee lovely.

Went in for my free coffee and was greatly surprised, the coffee was strong but not bitter and tasted wonderful. The cafe is very clean, tidy and presentable with plenty of seating. The staff are dressed to a high standard and the food looks and smells amazing. Would highly recommend this cafe. EDIT.... Just been back in after many years and the place is still as great. It's had a lovely makeover which has bought the deco up to modern times. The food is fantastic. I ordered a big breakfast to which I had a free serving of chips, could not fault that. I couldn't finish the breakfast as it was so big. The lovely waitress is so polite and is a credit to the business. I will defo be going back again soon.

Went for light lunch and hot drinks today about 22:15. Very busy downstairs but then I always go upstairs when like this. Plenty is spare tables. Ordered a chicken&mayo baguette & coffee & my wife had special breakfast ie choice of 4 items plus toast + hot chocolate. We shared a bowl of chips too which even then was too much to manage. About 17.50 total. Very pleased . Quick service considering the busyness. Love the original wall frescos of well known Ponty landmarks. Only the 1 toilet so may have to wait a while but clean !

Partner and I had forgotten our bank cards so unable to draw out cash. We came to cafe fresco and asked if they took card payments. Was told cash only, we replied we only had our phone so the server said he would take a card payment this once. We ordered. Came to pay and after getting up the list of available wifi networks, I asked which wifi was theirs as my reception was terrible and he shrugged. Then produced a piece of paper with the network and password. I joined, opened my banking app to make the transfer and handed my phone over for him to input his details. He then told me “no” very abruptly. I was confused. He then, again abruptly told me “how I pay in shops” and told me to put my phone onto his. I then realised he was using his phone as a terminal. While the transfer was going through the way he proceeded to talk to me, as if I was stupid and a child, caused the cafe to go silent and customers staring. He then dismissively told me the transfer had gone through and to take a seat. One, of taking a card payment had been so much of a hassle we would’ve gone elsewhere two, I have an honours degree and 3, I’m 38 years old. The food was decent, no complaints there but, the whole experience was marred by the servers bad attitude. We couldn’t wait to finish and leave. There was no thank you for our custom, even when our drinks were brought over, there was silence. We will not be returning here again. Maybe he was having an off day but, if paying by card was such a chore then we would have happily left and eaten somewhere else.

Perfect spot for lunch. I had the bacon avocado and lettuce baguette. It was absolutely delicious and very fresh. Service excellent. Fresco is a wonderful find and I will definitely return. Very well priced too.

Been visiting our sister Pam in Treorchy called before catching the train to Doncaster, drinks plus teacakes was beautiful next visit will make time to have a meal. Thankyou 🤗x

Good basic foods are very popular with people, friendly staff, the meal was fine with no complaints, l will try something different next time.

Absolutely lovely Cafe compared to the past cafe... Only reason iv given them 3 stars for the food is.. They mutelated my sausage 😲 I'm not a 5 year old child that needs marks in my food to show me where to cut.... 🤣 And call me fickle but I really like a runny egg 🥚 Ohhhhh and it's not a breakfast.. It's brunch drop the chips and add another egg

As a family we love this cafe. It's small, modern with an Italian twist. There's a variety of breakfast choices, large portions at good prices.

The avocado supreme is absolutely unbelievable. And the eggs are delicious. Lovely staff. Friendly. Lovely fresh salad every time without fail!!!

I love this place! Such a good place to go if you’re looking for a nice meal. I tried the chicken curry the other day and it was the nicest curry I’ve ever tasted in my life it was so good. I went today and I’m tempted to go back tomorrow just for the curry! Highly recommend staff are great too!

Love this place. I usually come for breakfast, but I thought I'd have a change, so went for a jacket potato with chicken and sweetcorn mayo. Generous sized potato and filling, and a really tasty and interesting salad (not just tomato and cucumber!) and even a sprinkle of herbs around the edge of the plate. Classy 😊 I loved it! Delicious! As was my latte. The staff care about the enjoyment of the customer. They're friendly and take lots of care with what they serve. Great prices too.

Always good for food, very clean and friendly staff

Friendly helpful staff, spotlessly clean, bright and child friendly. Their black coffee has quite an intense flavour in a nice way. They also take cash unlike so many antisocial places these days.

Been here several times before, no problems. We went in, told it was table service. Sat at table, staff standing round chatting. After over 10 mins being ignored, got up walked, took our custom elsewhere. Won't be going back.

Absolutely brilliant the staff was brilliant and kind, me and my mum had prawn jacket potato and it was spectacular plus the toilet was clean not a spec of dirt anywhere

I'm truly disappointed with this place. A few veggie options but nothing to slap you in the face. The veggie breakfast which is 4 types of potatoes a cpl of fried eggs and a tiny portion of mushrooms is the same price as the huge plate of dead animal. The coffee was it's saving grace and is why its got 3 stars instead of 2.

Lovely food. Quick as well . Me and my work mates were in early and all agreed lovely food and service. We be back next week.

Great traditional cafe. Good value tasty food served quickly and hot. Friendly staff obviously experienced and very good at their jobs.

I love this cafe, staff are always welcoming and polite. There's plenty of space, you can eat inside or out great place for a relaxing lunch or quick coffee break

Good food and service at a reasonable price

A little bit inconvenient that they only take cash, but when I visited they only freshly reopened after lockdown. While I went out to get cash my seat was taken and I was advised to go upstairs which was completely empty so the atmosphere was not quite what I expected. But I'm sure when they're back to normal it is a lovely place

Popped in for a breakfast. Had the big breakfast which was really good. Can't fault it and the service is great. Will return when we shift out of Tier 4 :)

Good food & it's clean in there. However waitress asked for brown toast then white arrived. She was told as was a cook there but no brown arrived after 15 minutes. I asked for a refund & a £1 coin was impolitely placed down on the table with a clear attitude anything but apologetic. Further, cash only these days is not protecting of customers.

Lovely poached egg, only downside it contained a side salad not really to my liking. But heyho we are all different

What a lively little place this is !! Had a couple of coffee's here and very good too 👍. A couple of weeks later tried the menu, superb omelette and a very fresh salad and it was very nice indeed.. Polite service, and spotlessly clean. A little gem !!! Thumbs up from me !!!!!!

Food is always served as quickly as quickly as possible here and good portions. Food always seems fresh and not like other places that serve leftovers. Friendly polite staff and clean place with good atmosphere. Upstairs area is large size and just as pleasant as donstairs. Great coffee as well.

This is the best cafe the food is always freshly cooked and really nice the cafe is really clean and the staff are lovel.

Plenty on the plate, always tasty. Good service & very clean in there. Average prices for town. I just wish other customers would close the door after them or staff keep an eye on that door better to make sure it's closed in the cold weather. Maybe some sort of auto close would be good?

Popped in here for lunch with my wife today. Very nice chicken burger and chips. My wife had egg and chips. We both enjoyed our food it was very nice we also had a hot chocolate and a cappuccino. Would come in here again. The place was nice and clean.

First visit today and a nice find in Pontypridd. Also a good portion of food to eat, I noticed the staff cleaned the tables very quick which makes a change to some places i go to.

Working in Pontypridd and looking for place to eat, there are Greggs and Costa and small Cafes, but nothing grabbed me, until walking passed Cafe Fresco, It was busy, a good sign I thought, I ordered nd was told there was more seating up stairs. The cafe is spotless and fresh. The food could not be faulted together with a lovely cup of coffee. A definite must to stop and call into while shopping in Ponty.

I've been coming to Pontypridd every week for 6 years and had no idea this was here. What a find!!! Clean and inviting. Food amazing and the best cup of latte I have ever had. One thing to note is cash only but my bee favourite coffee shop
